Lot of new construction. Getting bigger & one of the best. Kudos to all working there - during these difficult times, things are moving smoothly & all recommendations being followed.

Huge and expensive. Great VIP lounges, benefits for infinite card owners. Awesome experience.
Not the best constructed airport for people with connecting international flights, have to exit the airport just to go immediately back in.
Poor and somewhat dangerous amenities for moving handicapped people from arrivals/departures. Had to step up 18-24" into a cart that had no luggage storage. Had to pull carry on behind me or have it half on the step. Either way is painful not to mention dangerous when sitting backwards and pitching forward on starting. No bars to hold.
I would have given YVR 5 stars, except for this -- If you're going to have late departures, you need to keep your vendors open accordingly!! (Starbucks and other food service). The people here are among the nicest anywhere in the world, BUT you need to keep the restaurants open, some 24/7!! Please!
Clean and nice airport. If you got any bearspray you have to get rid of before you leave, you can leave it in special goods, first floor all the way to the left. (i spent an hour figuring that out, no one knew )
It's pretty big, all the gate agents where really good at correcting our flights when Alaska airlines were delayed for 5 hours.
The People at YVR are amazing and welcoming. I can see why so many tourists come to our city! They represent Vancouver so well
Very organized and efficient from the time we stepped off the plane, through customs and to retrieving our luggage.
Elegant airport decorate with nice art articles, giving the passengers a moment of break during the busy, sometimes hectic transit. On the function aspect, the overall passenger flow is smooth through the airport in various zones.
Nice airport, very clean and lots of stores. That being said, none of this will make your layover time go faster, especially not the wifi here. The wifi is really really bad. YouTube stops every minute and won't play again. This happens to Netflix, crunchyroll, funimation and all lther streaming sites. The wifi is just sl bad that's why it's getting a 3 star
Could no sit on any chair bench or floor due to food , dirt, hair at gate C31. Also was not able to even lean against a wall due to same issue.
Very poor service, cleaning at gate c31.
Ps I am a plumber so not bothered by some grime.
Terrible experience the line is stacked to the stairs yet the stations are half stafffed waited for two hours to check in as a Canadian citizen
The service staff who asked about baggage transfers had a bad attitude...
Nice main room. With a 'Wendy's', so I am satisfied.
For my first visit to Canada, Immigration staff are very unfriendly
When you come to Canada first time, you ll feel Immigration staff not friendly for the visitor
One of the most beautiful airports I've seen so far, very clean and stylish. Entry is unfortunately typically American long if you arrive at rush hour. In the terminal there is even a stream with a large aquarium :)
I haven't been to many airports in Canada but among the ones that I have the Vancouver airport is one of the most easy and well laid out ones, at no point do you ever feel lost as to where to go, signage is clear and well laid out
You have several places where you can sit and have a drink. Very pricey! Furthermore, the airport is nice and clean.
Really wonderful and open airport with plenty of art installations, not super busy and the staff are friendly and helpful.
Poorly managed airport, flight got delayed six hours. got to stay in a nice hotel though
Never crazy busy and definitely makes it easier when coming to the U.S. because you do customs and immigration at this airport.
The wifi sucks, and there's no smoking area for international layovers. I can't stand not being able to smoke after a 9 hr. flight. SMD, Canada.
Airport convenient, accessible, beautiful and modern!
Not a great airport at all. If you are on a redeye expect nothing to be open. Once you actually reach the gate, there is nothing, except not working soda vending machines.
The airport was very hot at the gates.
Toilets had water flowing in drops. It was horrendous.
Great! There are so many airplanes. This is awesome.
A rare Chinese New Year style, it s not boring here. There are plenty of shops to visit and food court.
It is a very beautiful and clean airport. Of the best.
YVR is consistently, without fail, a terrible experience. Long lines, poor food choices, it really fails at basic airporting. December 20th and they still only have 2 security lines open. It took me 20 mins just to move 6 foot forward in line, because they kept letting Nexus holders ahead, even in a domestic terminal. It constantly baffles me that people think this is a good airport. Look outside of the Canadian bubble and you ll see how a good airport works.
Beautiful airport. Indoor ponds and even a fish tank! It's hands down the most beautiful airport in Canada.
Nice, beautiful, well organized airport in the world
Fairly good airport, decent transport options. Fast security, easy to walk through. OK range of shops and such. Interesting decor.
Airlines, keeping you safe from body wash and shaving cream. Let's funk up the skies.
Great airport, nice ornamentation. Right now the water fountains are closed and there are not many people around. Also, many stores are closed and plugging areas to charge up are difficult to find. People are nice thou. Overall a nice airport
Very kind authorities and security officers. They even let me go to the elders lane!
Sometimes it's fine, sometimes you have to wait an hour and a half to get your luggage despite getting through customs in ten minutes, sometimes you have to wait an hour to get through customs before you find your luggage off the conveyor belt because someone who worked there thought it's been there for too long. I have the colour of their carpet burned into my mind because of how long I've had to wait sometimes. You never know how long it takes to leave the airport (at least some airports are consistently slow, here I can't reliably book a ride). Departures is fine though.
Nice play for layover. Lots of things to do. YVR is awesome!
If you are flying to the US, make sure to check out the display boxes around gate E81 featuring historical Disney figurines. Amazing collection.
All airport personnel were patient, professional and well organized during the current pandemic.
One of the best airport in Canada. Everything looks clean with adequate shops and food stalls. The information staffs are nice and friendly.
My experiences at this airport have never been anything short of fantastic! The staff are friendly and the layout of the airport totally makes sense. The artwork and decorations are really nice and definitely add to the authentic "British Columbia feel" of the airport. There are plenty of food and shopping options to help pass the time while waiting for a flight. Transit is easily accessible and allows you to quickly get around the lower mainland and to downtown Vancouver. Overall great airport!
The domestic and trans border terminals are great. More options on the transborder side would be great, however the AC lounge is much better and quieter on that side. Parking is close and most of the time easy to find. Overall the airport is easy to navigate and clean.
The VIA is simply awesome in terms of friendliness and helpfulness. However, the entertainment opportunities are quite limited. Food and shopping options are okay but could be better. Overall the experience was very good in my first visit. Liked it!
Grate Airport and nice employees just a bit slow to get past security
This is the worst airport I have ever flown through due to the aggressive and abusive behavior of their operations team in the gate area. I'd take LaGuardia over this place, because I know at least I wont get verbally harassed there.
Has lots of shops but not too many, some a bit repetitive. Just wish there were more activities, like an arcade or massage place.
One of the busiest airports in North America. A big gateway to flights to Asia and Oceania. Also a lot of flights to Canada, the US, and elsewhere.
The size of the airport is well-equipped to facilitate it's daily need in handling passengers. The stores and restaurants are excellent. Sometimes you think you're at a mall instead of an Airport.
It's one glitch is that it's missing an indoor bus system or cart system similar to that of Calgary that takes passengers from terminal to terminal. That would be a big help.
7:30pm on a Wednesday night with a 4 hour wait at gate C50 to board an overight flight to Toronto on a 350 seat Boeing 777 and I find one electrical service pole to serve 350 people!
I am sure the bus station in Sudbury has more.
No television no open retail or food facility anywhere near and no electrical outlets to customer's electrobics charged. And they claim this to be a "world class" airport. The people responsible should be banished to Nunavit.
Very good airport. Excellent services. Organized schedule. Just awesome experience.
Nice and clean airport with a beautiful "indoor" waterfall..
Signage isn't the clearest at this airport. However staff are very kind and helpful.
Beautiful airport. Wish there were more washrooms closer to the gates where passengers arrive. Water from faucet is super cold btw.
Awesome airport with lots of shops and WiFi accessible throughout.
The cutest and cleanest airport I know. It also has a skytrain station that takes you downtown in 30 minutes
It is beautifully designed airport, I love it. However, I am not giving 5 for two main reasons: restaurants are not at all the best and way overpriced; sometimes you have to walk for a looong time.
Once of the nicest airports I've been to. Lots to see while you're travelling
Having flown quite a bit, I must say I'm blessed to live in a city that has what I think is the best airport in the world. Easy to access by transit, benches you can sleep on and the waterfalls are refreshing after a long flight. This is what airports should aspire to.
My baggage which was one bag i had to wait over 35 minutes
