Was a nice park, you can see a lot and also good food, in summer it's the best. In the winter there are some things closed! We also went for brunch and that was very tasty with many variations.

Not too big, lots of different birds, feeding parakeets was great fun, the bird shows were the highlight! I have no children so I can't say anything about the playground. Food was expensive, so I recommend bringing your own bammetjes.

A nice hotel with friendly people. We had a nice spacious room with a view of two ostriches. Breakfast was quite extensive and tasty.

Ouwe van der Valk, needs to be refurbished quickly. Not quite eaten well.

We first went to the Vogelpark to board the avifauna boat around four o'clock. Here we have done a round trip of more than 3 hours. This was a captains dinner incl drink package. A nice trip with great food.

The Christmas buffet was generous and diverse. Good quality, and the ambiance was very pleasant. We were welcomed as a family with a mulled wine, to get in the mood! Our table was beautifully set, with damask napkins. All in all a very pleasant dinner with ditto service.

Reception was annoying, we were seated at a table at the entrance, toilet and kitchen. When we complained about it to the BLONDE lady at the reception, it was said that they could do nothing about it. After consultation with each other, we decided to leave here. The menus were handed over, and I said that we had decided to leave here. The waiter who was going to serve us asked if we wanted to wait a while and after a while we got another, better table. This waiter served us FANTASTICLY during the entire menu. Very unfortunate, I had never expected this from van der Valk. We always went to van der Valk in Gilze and it is fantastic there. Van der Valk Avifauna has finished for me. I would not recommend this restaurant.

Here you can still recognize Van der Valk, as it originally looked. It is a real Van der Valk restaurant. And there you take Schnitzel. And that is big. And unchanged tasty. The apple sauce with the cherry on it has been replaced by a modern Apple compote. The same goes for fries and potatoes. Simply very well.

Clearly an outdated hotel. We went for child friendliness and not for luxury and have had a nice stay with that institution! Room very spacious with the upper floor for the children. Large, not very luxurious bathroom, but fully equipped. With us everything was clean and I'm quite a bug in there ... Avifauna next door was ideal. You can walk in and out ... A disadvantage that we really experienced were the non-modern mattresses / beds. Woke up in the morning with a sore lower back. Furthermore, everything really fine!

Made reservation. We did not receive confirmation. The boat turned out to be fully booked. At least we expected to get a message about it, so no. We were waiting for nothing with our friends from Twente.

Later it turned out that a whole group had reserved the boat. Then put in an extra boat on such a beautiful day as today.

Restaurant is great good service, rooms reasonable to good, bird park needs some maintenance

Easily accessible and ample parking. The building looks a bit corny but the food was good and the service quick and smooth.

Food is fine, just a pity that the service has the speed of the visitors plus 65 plus.

Nice hotel with nicely furnished rooms. You can also join the tour boat or visit the bird park. There is even a casino where you can take a chance. Around the corner is a beautiful swimming pool (De Hoorn) where you can swim laps. In short, one of the best situated hotels within the Van der Valk group. Recommended!

Good food and a nice hostess. With large crowds you noticed that drinks were sometimes forgotten. For the rest, an attractive restaurant next to avifauna bird park.

The adjacent bird park is unique and there is a somewhat colonial stately atmosphere and style. The hotel itself could use a makeover in certain places.

The park is definitely worth it, the restaurant is somewhat massive but not bad

Had a wonderful day in Avifauna. Nice park, not too big. Large playground, a pity that many attractions were closed. Afterwards a nice meal in the restaurant. Lots of choice in dishes and drinks. A successful day!
