This was the absolute worst amusement park experience I Have ever had. For those of you reading this. I do not recommend. I will never be returning here. My day started okay by riding Wild Thing and from there it went down hill fast. I road a few more rides where the, controllers were just standing there and weren t communicating what we needed to do. Then after walking around for an hour trying to find a line short enough to get any food, I found a Cinnamon Roll stand. I stood in line for 20 minutes and finally moved and took me another 10 minutes to get just inside the building then finally THE COUNTER!!! This is where I encountered the worst service I ve ever had in my life!!! I stand there waiting patiently while the cashier stand there just casually conversing with her coworker. I should probably add this is a big field trip day for my school as well as many others. Finally I get her attention and ask her if I could have a cinnamon roll. (There are many in the case next to me, at least a dozen). Without saying a work she looks me in the eye and shakes her head!!! I then look at her in confusion and as if saying why not? . Than again without saying a word she looks at the oven behind her and points to the timer. It says (30:00). I STOOD IN LINE FOR 30 MINUITSE I AM NOT ABOUT TO WAIT IN LINE FOR ANOTHER 30. Then... yah... it doesn t end there. I went to a burger stand and ordered a chicken strip basket and a 20 oz. soda. I waited I. That line for 30 more minutes and had people cutting in front of me 9 different times. I got my food sat down and took a bite of the chicken strips and they were all bread. I m not exaggerating I am 100% seriously. The fries where WET NOT MOIST NOT SOGGY BUT WET!!! And my 20 oz. was all ice and maybe a cup of sprite. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER. I will not be retiring. I do not recommend. IVE NEVER BEEN MORE LETDOWN IN MY LIFE!!!

Having been to this park many times over the years, with the last being around the time Renegade first opened, WOW! Their prices have gone up, but they have made SO many upgrades and changes for the better.

If you intend to go more than once (or if you intend to buy park beverages and not bring your own empty bottle), buy the souvenir cup online to save big time on your drinks the whole day at the park (first day refills are free, after that it's $1.00 a refill for the season). A bottle of water will set you back $3.99 alone. While you're at it, buy everything online: you'll save $2-4 For everything you purchase online vs. on location.

If you intend to go more than three times, get the season pass. We went as a family during starlight prices ($36 at the gate) and even the season pass bring a friend price was $32 at the gate. If you get your season pass online you can also do the payment plan option and they charge you the same price (no interest based upcharge) as if you had bought it directly. Parking is free with a season pass, otherwise expect to drop $17 with each visit. Yikes!!

Having been to both Six Flags Texas and Valleyfair, I can say for the price this is a great park. I might be biased since this is my hometown, but I honestly thought for the value Valleyfair was a better park. For folks who can't do spinning rides like me without getting sick, there are plenty of coasters.

Season pass holders save 10% off food and possibly merch, so don't forget to flash your pass at the food stands if you don't end up buying the meal pass. Get the bucket of mini donuts!! Feeds 4 plenty. Expect to pay from $8-15 For any food item if you don't pack your own. There were hardly any lines when we went after 5 PM except for Renegade.

There are plenty of rides of all different fear factors. Plenty of junk food. Even some good restaurants. Fill your wallet before you get here though. From parking to admission and incidentals EVERYTHING is expensive!

Went to valley fair 08/26/2016 Which took me about an hour to get to from Wisconsin. When i arrived at roughly 1pm I had already paid 15 bucks for parking with my motorcycle which typically gets lower rates since we dont take up a bunch of space just to find out that I will be getting kicked out in 4 hours due to the park being rented out for the night.

The problem I have is that you charged me full price ($55.00+$15.00=$70.00) to get in with nothing to compensate me for my night being cut short. I don't think I could suggest anyone I know visiting your park ever knowing they will probably just have to turn around when they get there unless they are potentially willing to pay full price for 1/3- 1/2 a days visit, truly surprising folks I expected better. I'll save my money next time for companies that adjust their rates when they intentionally put people out of a full experience.

Great place for kids under the age of 5. there are so many rides and the water park has a splash pad. Only negative is that it gets extremely busy and sometimes has long wait times for rides.

Once you're in it it's a blast, rides for all ages and fun ones for that matter! I'm only taking a star of because of how expensive the place is. Other then that it's fun and there's a good variety of rides to choose from!

What can I say, best that is a summer MUST. I have been going to Valleyfair for 30 plus years. It never gets old or less exciting.
I have found the best deal is the all day drink cup. That is a must if you do not want to carry water bottles through the park.
The 4 stars come from the pricing of the food and the extremely overpriced lockers at the water park. Be prepared!! $15.00 for a locker that barely fits one regular size backpack. My family of 4, that packed very light, needed 2 lockers at a cost of $30.00. Not OK. Otherwise I do wish the park would stay open later. A 9pm closing time on a weekday just seems too early. You can not possibly enjoy the attractions, entertainment, and water park in less than 12 hours.

It was amazing but the water slide had a big line that could easily be much shorter it has 5 slides and only 3 people can go on the west slides but the east sides are amazing 5 star an good service best slides I have ever been to.

Valleyfair is a wonderful place thanks to a loyal employee Bridget. I always see her working hard when either working at the wild thing making sure I'm strapped in ready to ride or cleaning up around the park.

Don't get the meal ticket. It doesn't really pay out as well. Plus you don't get alot of options. Also, VIP/Speedpass is a must otherwise your waiting in line for awhile. The rides were great. The drink wristband was a huge bonus. My family had a great time.

Fun quality time. Clean park and a various amount of rides as well as activities. Downfall would be good and drink prices, which comes with any amusement park. Would suggest eating something light before going. Water fountains available at a couple locations which was a plus. Overall a good time!

Great amusement park 30 minutes from St. Paul. Plenty of variety of rides and roller coasters. There is also a large water park inside park which is already covered by base entry fee with a huge wave pool, kids area with some medium sized slides, lazy river, tube rapids ride, and also some huge fast slides for adventurous.

We had so much fun! The park has real roller coasters yet isn't too big to finish in a day. Food lines are the only thing preventing me from giving it 5 stars. Definitely plan to eat before 10am or after 3 if you can. We waited over an hour in line from 1:15 to 2:30. But it is easy to keep track of kids and there are a lot of options of rides for all levels of enthusiasts.

Food prices and other fees are pretty ridiculous. I understand needing to make money, but a sandwich meal including a pop and upcharge for cheese curds was $20. Also $15 to rent a very tiny locker? And about $25 for a larger one? In the water park its $5 to rent a tube for the wave pool? These prices are crazy enough to keep the locals from coming back or just finding ways around not purchasing food or renting things.

Clean park and lots of attractions,.My only complaint is that when I went on the Ripcord the staff "pretended" to drop something and gasped asking "what's that" in a way to add more suspense to the ride. I was already scared enough so I didn't feel that was necessary. Other than that get ready for long lines but fun times. Also the food prices were a little higher but we were able to leave the park for lunch and then come back for the afternoon. So overall had a great time and would come back again.

I came to Valley Fair in the first years it started. Had a blast. Things seemed to kind of die off after that. No pictures were taken and the drink vender smaller stands were not open. I was beginning to think of not going, anymore.

Then Camp Snoopy was added and gave the little kids more opportunity to stay for a full day and keep interested. Lots of rides for them and some shows.

The water park there was always fun, but a little boring after awhile.

The water park has remodeled and added some attractions and food venders. I took my 9 year old grandson and his friend and they spent the whole day in the water park! I was disappointed because I like to ride the rides. But, it was their day and they were not bored and stayed playing all the while. There are lounge chairs set up all over. The one thing I would complain about is that people claim these chairs, then seem to keep them "saved" all day and are not using them until they are done and ready to dry off for the day, then they leave. I pretty much sat in the same spot all day and very very few chairs had people coming back to them for more than a minute or two. I think that's pretty inconsiderate. There is a place close by that offers drinks and beer and has music. I sat there and watched the wave pool.

All in all, I think Valley Fair has come a long way from what it was about 4 or 5 years ago. This was actually the best year I've ever gone, even if it was on the water park all day. The beverage stands were all open all day, the rides were going and so many choices about what to do next, if you wanted.

The food is so so spendy, though. And just food. I'm not really impressed by the fare. Lacks flavor. My best find is the Panda Express. I think. Went there on a "Latin Day" and saw food trucks set up with ethnic foods. Would definitely love to see that choice stay and more. I like ethnic food and I see a vast majority of people from all cultures who would eat that, if different food choices were brought in. Perhaps NY Gyro and more Latino choices.

Tons of rides were shut down over "computer issues". Why pay a bunch for parking then even more to get in when nothing works? Better believe all the food places were open though- wouldn't wanna miss a chance to make a buck! I used to love this place but it's really gone downhill, I probably won't be back.

It is a really fun park with lots of fun rides. The prices of going there without a membership is outrageous. Once you buy the gold pass the parking is free and the entry is free after going a few times it pays for itself I would definitely recommend getting one of you like rides.

We had fun, lost our season passes in the water park and they charged $5 per to replace them. Noticed the lockers are $15 to $20 to rent. I remember when they were $5... kinda greedy

Came here with my kids during State Fair week, and never in my life have I came across such stanky customer service people, from guest services to the ticket takers to the food venders. The worst of it was when I went into the line.

I have a disability and use a mobility scooter to get around, and I was told to get in the stroller line. . To get told by some punk kid that I, a grown woman old enough to be HER parent, to go to the stroller line was humiliating. I felt like I was five years old. Then there s the food. Everything was so subpar, and the drinks were flat.

What should have been a fantastic time ended up ruined because no one was home-trained properly enough to do their jobs.

Spent the entire day here. Kids went on rides and played games while my friend and I hung out at the water park. We got a cabana for the day. It was wonderful. I felt like I was rich and famous! LOL! There were 2 loungers inside the cabana. It had a small refrigerator and flat screen TV. Outside it had a table, chairs and umbrella. You got 2 inner tubes as part of the price. We had an excellent waiter. You could order food and drinks-yes alcohol was available. The only reason I gave it 4 stars was because it was expensive. Not something to do often.
