It is still cool because I never take my kids here...

I would have given 5 stars because I freakin love amusement parks however, they could use a few more thrill rides and I get that safety is important but there's literally no sense of urgency with their ride operators. I mean, NONE. It took over 30 min to load/unload their version of the Octopus.
Bought four tickets and went inside, were handed a flyer saying certain rides were closed but 12 or so rides were still open. No this were open just haunted houses. Was told there's no refunds or ways to get tickets to come back. Seems like a pretty horrible policy to get people inside the park and then keep their money. Never going to recommend this place.
Over priced but a good time ! Water park is pretty cool .
We got gold season passes for 2016, spent a lot of time here this summer ONLY because of the pass. Here are the negative things I have to complain about: food prices are ridiculous, even with the gold pass "discount". Dress code...there isn't one apparently, half the people walk around naked...because of the waterpark and then get the rides wet (gross...) Most of the restrooms were not clean. The green cup for $15, and orange cup for $30, is a total joke. Pop was flat most of the time, and bees all over without any traps...my daughter was stung twice. The lines for the rides can be quite long, so if we didnt have the season passes, then you DO NOT get the value for your money at all for what they charge for a daily fee + parking. Some days we spent 6 hours there and only got on 5 rides...
Most of the employees there do not enjoy working there, that was clearly evident. Other than those main complaints, it's fun and they do a great job keeping the actual grounds clean in the park. Here is a suggestion for ValleyFair...take out the Dinosaur park, and replace it with a decent ride. Perhaps a new roller coaster?!! It's never busy enough, waste of space! I give it 3 stars...
I went with several other friends on the Saturday of memorial day weekend expecting low crowds and what not. We got there and lines were decently long, but manageable. The only ride that was not manageable was power tower. Out of the three towers that riders can ride, only one of them was in use. I get that they might be trying to save energy and staff, but it made for a ridiculously long line. Not to mention fast pass users cutting in front of everyone making the normal line last that much longer. Additionally, the ride named delirious had a mechanical failure and couldn't park properly at the end of the ride. We were stuck with the restraints down for 5 minutes while waiting for maintenance staff to manually lift the restraints. Not a good look Valleyfair, especially for the beginning of the season.
Always fun and enjoyable. Had to have fun on a budget though
My family of four went for our very first time on 10/21/17 and I went all out with getting the all day dinning passes fright and fast lane passes and the key for the rooms and I happy with that part but was not happy that many of the food vendors where not open and some rides where not open also most all the photo booth for the rides where closed I spoke to a "Manager" and made a complaint about this and all she could say was sorry I dont appreciate that if I paid the full price for the amusement park I should receive it all and did not. They are very very under staffed at this time of year and won't be going back
Save Valleyfair in your vocabulary as a place of great amusement!! PS: you won't regret it ;-)
One of the best theme parks I have ever been too. So clean and not sprawled out like others. Rides for all ages and well managed. Mama Chetta's Pizza was tasty serving up big slices. Restrooms so clean and loved walking on paver bricks instead of blacktop. I give this place all the thumbs up I can
I feel this will probably be my last year for season passes..it seems like its going under..the shower curtains were ripped, the shower ice cold..so i couldn't stay after swimming because my skin was so dried out and itchy..the inner tubes in the pool i have never been a fan of, the lifeguards are stuck whistling because more than one person are climbing on em, and they literally just run into peoples heads while the waves are going..theres too many ppl to add floaties..there hasnt been anything in the theater for a few years..this year therye doing movies but come on, theres movie theaters for that..the Ed Alonso show was amazing while it was there..they took away a few food places and made them into soda or icee stands with one person working on a Saturday..the Coasters restauraunt is now a touch screen order and you wait for them to call your number..theres no communication anymore:( and perfectly good jobs are going to computers..they got rid of the person checking ppl into the dinosaurs alive place so you have to go in the store instead..it was sad that the ticket booths were boarded and painted over to make em into bag checks..Valleyfair is no longer Nostalgia for me..even Valleyscare last year was terrible..they need to bring the camp one back because people know who Jason is and have probably been scared at a real camp..half mutated animals in empty rooms in a wooden shack made no sense..they got rid of a good thing..they shouldn't have gotten rid of london terror either, the art and decor in there was believable and very well done..too bad its not 2014 and 2015 anymore when they were excellent..
Who doesn t love an amusement park. Love the fact that you can get water cups and drink free water. Picnic area is awesome. Food is overpriced but that s just how it is!
The ridesare so much fun Exspeshly the water rides
Great place but the food prices are a way to high. Bring your own food.
Always makes a great family trips there so much fun..
An amazing place for all family.. a bit on the spendy side.
The park is very clean, the food offered was ok at best! As far as haunts go for Valleyscare it was the worst haunt experience in the cedar fair chain. In the haunted houses, the lines just kept on going so you really couldn't get scared. Now as far as rides go, the only thing remotely work the time was Renegade. The rest were mediocre at best.
Subscribe to Oh-Chi Coasters on youtube for a park review, and pov s.
Very large with tons of rides for the kids! All very clean and will laid out to get around. Employees are really nice too
Rides are awesome less waiting prices for eating out rages prices bacon cheeseburger with fries no drink 14.52. Panda Express alot of food for your buck. Expect to pay a lot for families or go to your vehicle to eat
We have been going to Valleyscare for the past 5 years. We were at the event last year on September 22nd when the park was shut down from fights breaking out.
We decided to give it another chance. We did notice more security and police presence which I thought was great but the amount of young kids after dark was insane. I remember
when they instructed people with young ones to leave if they did not want to be scared. This year it just seemed like they turned down the scare factor. Unfortunately.
We are season pass members and feel like it is a great deal to buy and get our money's worth during the summer as well. Hoping next year they can turn up the scares a bit. Suggestion, if you want little ones there make a area for them called no scare zone and deck out the rest of the park.
We have season passes and we have had them for 6 years. It is a worthwhile purchase. If you go twice, it pays for itself. We go quite often. We work it so we go for a few hours at a time. My kids realize we can go back other times so if a ride has a long line, we just move on and hit that ride the next time. We love the corn feed which is included in the price. We go to the haunted houses at valley scare. That is a lot of fun. It is also included in the price. We get the free refill containers for drinks. Also a great deal.
The golden pass with food bundle is worth it especially if you live within 20 miles from this place. There are lots of rides to choose from ranging from and they have a dedicated play area for kids and new riders. Definitely worth your time to spend some summer.
Has a lot of awesome rides, for both thrill seekers, and for the weak of heart... Little pricey but still an AWESOME place!
Fun......... need toddler rides but it was all good
1) My son got stung by a bee. With all the Soda fountains, ice cream, mini donuts...bees are everywhere!! Every trash receptacle had bees swarming in them.
2) Food and beverage was expensive for the mediocre quality. French fries from the place where the turkey legs are were cold and stale. Glad it was a free corn day, I survived on that and just had to worry about my son to feed.
3) Fast Pass is the worst idea ever!! . Seriously waited over an hour to get onto the giant swing while we watched several people get off and get right back on....most of the rides are the same as when I was a kid and I m 45 now, the parking lot is the same so I m sure the park has plenty of profit without the fast pass option or a parking fee.
Overall we had a good time, Wisconsin Dells is better. Didn t get through all the rides even though we were there 11.5 hour. Bought tickets from Group-On for 29.99 and prepaid from Valleyfair a discount parking pass.
The best amusement park experience in Minnesota. The food is expensive but they try to put things in place to reward you spending money up front in exchange for unlimited entry free parking and food. I used to go once or twice a year but now I buy my season pass for the next year for the price of two regular tickets. Also I have kids under 5 so they get in free of charge with the pre-k pass. It's free to sign up for online. That make valley fair go from a hassle to being visited almost as often as a neighborhood park. I spent 170 last year and me and my daughter went about 10 times this year and ate for free. (Every 4 hours) it's worth it if you go often but otherwise I think valleyfair is a 3 times max a year type deal.
At Valleyfair all the rides are really fun even the low thrill ones. And i'm lucky to be in the MN because that's where it is. And thanks to fast pass we can ride more rides because last time i was there i only got to ride about every ride once and that wasn't that fun. It was the best amusement park I've ever been to yet! But it could use more ride fixing so like when ever a ride is broken the mechanics will get right to it because last time i really wanted to ride riptide but it was broken so yeah. Other than that you should go there once you have the chance so you can have the best time of you're life.
Kids loved it, and the waiting lines were not very long.
Went to Valleyscare. $55 per person. Left with stamp on hand. Couldn't come back in after 7pm. Staff did not warn us. Luckily, customer service was nice and let us in anyways.
Fun time
But costs alot.... If $30 5 stars but $55 = 3 stars
I had a great expirence her and had a great time. It wasn't crowded and the food is amazing I recommend the chilli cheese fries
Fun time, but very expensive... Maybe only a once every couple of year's trip for my family.
I only went when it was Valley Scare. That was pretty fun. There weren't very long waits for the rides except for a couple of them.
Damn dude 17 $ parking 40$ for two burger meals. 104$ admission for two people. Overpriced as all hell.
2 great coasters and several good thrill rides compared to Cedar Point. Food listed in the app does not match what is at some sites. Nice way to spend an afternoon if you're in the area.
Such a great staff. Always willing to help. Will be going here this summer to enjoy it with my niece. It's been awhile since I have been there but it was time to go back.
Rides are fun, but lines are long and prices for tickets and food, beverages, etc., are OUTRAGEOUS.
One of the greatest places you can go in the Midwest. This is where I grew to love roller coasters and thrill rides. Wild Thing is their best coaster and Extreme Swing is their best thrill ride. Everything about this place is amazing. Since I've been here I've been to countless amusement parks.
Including Walt Disney World, Cedar Point, Six Flags Great America, Six Flags Magic Mountain, and others. The only other park that is better is Cedar Point. Valley Fair is owned by Cedar Point anyway. Valley Fair is one of the best parks in the world.
Also if you have a chance to go during Valley Scare I'd one hundred percent recommend it so much fun! Will come back over and over.
Fun place to take the kids, they love the kiddie rides. I was surprised how many options there are for my small/short 3 and 6 year old children to ride. The water park is a blast!
Prices are a bit high but they have a lot of rides and a fun water park
Its the best place in mn if here for vacation and good food and nice arcade
Season Passes are worth it if you visit more than once a year.
Very fun place. Didn't make it during the water fun but still had a blast. Pretty expensive though.
Fun rides, good food options. Food is way overpriced but it depends on what you choose. Panda express is pretty close to its normal price. There is this pizza place that has this 40$ family meal deal where you get a massive pizza with 4 drinks and 10 breadsticks. Splash city is great. Water temp is warm.
Been going here since I was really little. Ive been on all of the rides but they never get old.
Fun for all ages. Can easily spend 2 days here, between the rides area and the water park.
Beautiful day and a great place to take the family for a lot of fun.
Sooo much fun! Had a great time and i definitely recomend the Rip Cord!!! Even tho it costs money it is still so much fun
Great rides, very clean and not very busy... everything is over priced once you enter the park but that is what you should expect!
This is for Valleyscare
Honestly wasn't scared at all. A lot of down time between attempted scares.
Always fun times of course. I suggest the drink pass it's a great deal. Oh and the caramel apples are so good.
This place is so amazing! It is the most scariest theme park I've ever been to! The rides are even scarier than the ones at Disney World! The fastest roller coaster there is faster than the fastest roller coaster in Disney World! I think Valley Fair is a great place! ;-)
They should make a re one entrance close to the water park side.
All ages fun and the food is always good. Yes, it's expensive but they really do a good job here.
Fantastic fun for the whole family. No one is too small or too big to find fun here. Enjoy Snoopy land for the little ones and be sure to ride the amazing Wildthing for the thrill seekers.
Grab some delicious food on your break and take a dip in the wave pool to cool down.
Often there are deals on tickets so dig around for a few minutes prior to going to the gate. Season passes are super cheap so long as you buy before the park opens for the year (typically 2nd week in May)
Very fun and clean but like every fair everything is MAJORLY overpriced
This place is my FAVORITE place to go with my family. Yes, it does get busy but doesn't every amusement park? The food is great and Halloween is even better!!! 10 !!!
Never really crowded or have to wait long in lines! Free corn day was AHHHMAZING !
Super fun for the whole family! This amusement park does a great job of continually adding new attractions and updating the old rides.
Always a good time. Bring your chequebook for food, drinks and parking!
Haven't been to Valley Fair for 5 years. Today I came back.
Pretty Good!
I like the rides overall. Much Better than the MOA
There retro Diner was the best with the Milkshakes and Fries.
Staff can be nice and a bit rude. Many foreign staff members.
Knocked off a star because of inconsistencies with staff so it's a hit or miss. Also there were bees near the pop dispenser when I was trying to get the Free pop offer for today. There were bees which was the disgusting part of the trip.
We love to visit Valley Fair! The 4yo and 9yo love the wave pool. The 4yo loves the kiddie rides which are very similar to the MOA's Nickelodean Universe but Valley Fair's is Snoopy themed! It's like the new Camp Snoopy but outside! If you have a kid that is less than 42 inches, some of the rides you have to have someone ride with them that is over a certain age...12? 15? Can't remember but may be listed on their website. Sorry. The older boys have plenty of fun on the bigger coasters. We keep going back!
good job cedar fair but whens that B&M invert coming?
