Awesome rides but I think they should open a bit longer on the weekdays. Also some of the rides are only open for 20min at a time.

Great rides. Long Lines at times, Due to Employees Not Staying On Point ! ! been Having fun Here since the 1980s for me. Wow, Where does time go.(excapiler rollercoaster was the Badest Coaster Around back then) LoL ! ! !
Dad buys the $27 band that let's you eat every 90 mins. From 10 am to 10 pm that's up to 9 meals at $15+ each. Family of 4 grazes all day off Dad's plate. Genius. No drinks, curds, or dessert included (or necessary). Water au gratis.
Nice waterpark and amusement park! Works for little kids (over 42 in tall) too!
It was fun unfortunately the afternoon rain closed all the rides. I guess check the weather before going...
A very nice, small, inexpensive amusement park. I've been here several times over the past 10 years and have never been disappointed. It has a decent mix of rides and a small water park which is included with admission.

It wasn't all that busy. Very clean. Lack of frequent water fountains but they provide free water cups. Bummed that soak city closed earlier than the park.
Boring needs new bright faces and a good additude to it's works plus everything is too expensive.

A very enjoyable amusement park! There are many rides in this park that will keep you enjoying a long day of fun and excitement! The food choices have a wide variety while the rides range from extreme hight and adrenaline to small rides great for children. The lines are not too long depending on the time of day and ride. I would recommend this to anyone over any other park!
My daughter recently got a job here she loved the workers she described them as nice and caring. But on her first day there was so many things they did that she didn't even learn during orientation. Such as working the register, cooking funnel cakes, they would assign her to these karts and not teach her anything. Another thing she said is "you all need to update your registers when there a long line and one person working and an old condfusing register customers get anger yelling at her" Then she said a lot of the team leads are young and childish behind closed doors there's mouths are horrible. They don't show leadership they get mad when you ask for help. They just expect you to know everything ! Overall the park is a fun place to visit but to work I'm not that sure.
My kids really like this place. I feel that it costs a lot of money, but, if you live nearby, the season pass really is a steal. My family used their passes more times than I can count last year. Saved me a ton of money.

Went to valleyscare and some rides had a great time. My only complaint as always is the FN price for parking I mean come on man $20 to park my FN car. Lame truly pisses me off...
A smaller fairly cheap thrill park. You get what you pay for and none of the rides are truly terrifying, though it is overall an enjoyable experience.

Definitely worth the money. The rides are great the amusement park aspect of things as wonderful prices aren't too bad for being a theme park. What suggests going during the week. And if you're looking for something to scare you Valleyscare is always a wonderful option their mazes and their haunted houses are fabulous just good family and friendly environment during the day at night during Valleyscare more of the PG-13 screen

Decent thrill rides. Lines go pretty quick on most rides during the weekday summer. To me, it's not worth it to pay extra for the fast lane as long as you go on a weekday. Came in early around 10:30 and left around 2:30 and got through most of the big thrill rides (not including the water park) and that included a stop to dine in for lunch and some walk through on several gift shops. I think saving all the water park rides on a different day is the best way to go to fully enjoy the park. The awesome part was that we got a second free admission to use until the end of 2018 season during the summer trip I did with friends. 2 admissions for the price of 1, you cant breast that. Unfortunately I didn't get to use it again the same summer to check out the water park rides. I didn't use it until the last day of the park on Oct 27 and it wasn't ValleyScare that day either. Would have been fun to experience their haunted houses but it's a reason to come back next year. It was a lot of fun to experience the park on a beautiful fall afternoon with some Halloween decorations still n in place. Some of the rides during this time of the year was closed however. Knocked off a star because of how pricey everything is in that park. Try to bring snacks with you and water bottle to hydrate to save money.
Not enough shade. Could use some new thrill rides - preferably a nice coaster. Many employees who are incredibly clueless creating problems (manager's explanation: "they are international")
Renegade is great! Don't sit in the front few seats of Excalibur- they are extremely rough, but it's pretty fun towards the middle and never has a line.
It was really crowded, the only days that they don't care and are at least are okay are rainy days, I wish they would give us like... Rainy day checks? You know? I can stay I've Eben there enough to know enough yet... I've only been there... 2 times this year since I was way young.
Expensive as all get out! But the season pass is worth the money if you enjoy a day of adrenaline rush and a tasteful water park filled with fun and relaxing attractions! A little disappointed that they got rid of the go carts though.
I love Valleyfair. I have great memories here. It's so much fun on a summer day. It's a little spendy, but great entertainment. If you spend the whole day their, you'll get your money's worth of thrills.
Had a great time on the Jurassic walk. Amazing to get a real sense of just how big and amazing these animals were.
Our family loves this place, though it is extremely expensive to get in the door. Then a tiny locker in the water park is $15 and parking $13?. I would give it 5 stars if it was not for these ridiculous extra prices and the fact that we have had a few issues with the rides. One being the halter in the corkscrew did not lock into place until the car was moving around the corner. Staff did not seem to care. This was a couple years ago. Then this past weekend the seatbelt on the white roller coaster did not lock into place for our seven year old. I told the staff member and he said it didn't matter no worries and pushed the button to go. This was her first roller coaster ever and I had to hold her in place. Not happy. She is well above the 48" requirement.
Valley fair is awesome my 4 year old son had a blast hes 50 inches tall so he could go on all the rides with the exception of steel venom but he spent most of his time down in the "peanuts" area with the kid rides but he did some coasters and thunder canyon and loved every minute of it. My advice is to get your tickets online you can get steep discounts like 40 percent plus in some cases get the drink pass if it's hot you will use it for sure

Had to wait in line 20 Min - 1 Hour for each ride. It was really busy. Definitely recommend paying the extra for fast lane. I haven't bought it but will be next time!
Way overcrowded, you d think there would be some limit on the amount of people they allow in the pro at once, it shouldn t take 3 hours to get on a ride that lasts 30 seconds
It is awesome and I'm going back for more the food is to expensive in there so is better to eat out or bring a cooler with food to eat
For the price im paying for your food i should expect good fresh food. I was at your Panda Express, and it didn t have all the options, and the food i got wasn t as good as other Panda Express s. I also looked all over your park looking for a nice fresh funnel cake, and what i was served was an over priced premade, double fried funnel cake... this is not acceptable

We had a fun time at Valley fair two weeks ago. The rides were great and the atmosphere was unique. I ve been to quite a few amusement parks and this is definitely an amusement you should visit if you get the chance. The only reason I m giving this 4 stars is because the lines for food and drinks were super long and I go to parks knowing this may be the case but the team members didn t seem like they cared as much as they could about being efficient and speeding up the lines. The food is a little pricey as well but that s understandable for any amusement park.

The rides were great but for a cheeseburger and fries no drink is $20. So for a family of 4 that's beyond ridiculous to eat there. You can bring your own food and eat in the parking lot so try your best to park close to the park. Also bring your own towels for the water park and bug spray for after dark. The less you bring in to the park the easier to get on the rides and also through security. They do have lockers but who wants to pay $25 just to use?
Valleyfair is awesome! The staff is kind and always available to help. The restrooms are clean, thanks again to a very digilent staff. Would definitely recommend.
Im not the biggest roller coaster rider but i went on some of them. Good services but snoopy gift shop is expensive. All in all great experiance

Went the first night of valley scare and it was beyond irritating when they closed down early.

I paid to much money for a family of 5 to be rudely treated ! We all went to ride panic falls or whatever it s called the lady s there let some child go in with being BELOW 56 my 2 barley maybe a hair line under 56 & they were not allowed to go. Understandable but my kids are brown and the other little girl was a white girl so my ? Is why did that tiny girl get to go that was barley 52 but my children a hairline under 56 couldn t go? Then we go to The Wave pool my other half and I go to get a Grey Goose mixed drink and they wanna fill out cups over flowing with ice we ask for less ice they say it s park policy they fill out cup with ice .... so I don t recommend the bar as they wanna fill ur cup with ice instead of liquor for a 14$ drink u would think a half cup of ice wasn t an issue , and really I don t recommend the water area at all the people that work there are rude as all heck, went on thunder canyon & the worker was sleeping in the hut when u get ready to end the ride. Went to go on the Excalibur someone had there phone out and the young kid in control stopped the coaster at a complete stop and had a coaster cart at the incline of going up the hill with it fully loaded of people and children, all over a phone he stopped the coaster & put ppl in danger smh. This place needs new training for all there employees!! Very upset I d rather drive to Des Moines to Adventure Land then spend my money here again !
Great way to spend a day, and going during the week makes lines to almost nothing so you have nothing from stopping you on doing Wild Thing 3 times for the whole day.

Love the rides but its too expensive and they charge you $12 just to park, on top of your ticket price. What are the tickets paying for then? Customers have no option to park anywhere else and walk so why isn't the parking price just factored into tickets.
Valley Fair is always fun. If you need something to do when guests are coming from out of town it is a good place to spend the day. It is not a super huge park but big enough to have a lot of variety of rides and fun things to do. Parking is readily available and easy. A fun way to spend the day and make some memories.
Real fun for the hole family. A nice place to meet someone to hangout. If you get a season passes you get Free parking and have discount on food. Best of all if you stay there when it's dark the light on some rides will light up.
I went during the Valley Scare event in October for the first time this year. I highly recommend that, the eating options have improved dramatically from the last time I've gone as well.

We really enjoy our family time here. Kids love it and have a blast. Water park area is a lot of fun especially when hot out. I am glad we have some thing like this in the area. If you are looking at going a few times a year I would recommend looking into the season pass. with the season pass you also get Valley Scare. Seemed like a good deal when we looked into it.

We moved to Minnesota after being spoiled living next to Kings Island in Mason, Ohio. Our family grew up loving Kings Island so Valleyfair can be disappointing in comparison. Valleyfair is 1/3 the size of Kings Island and its roller coasters are disappointing. It's nice for Minnesota families. Ohio has nothing else to do so it needs major amusement parks and roller coasters to enjoy (such as Cedar Point and Kings Island).
Good park with fun rides one could really lose a whole day here. Besure to read the park rules on there website before you attend to get an idea of what you can and can't bring
