Very clean and upkept park. But I've been to many amusement parks and this was just mediocre. Felt as though it would have been better for our small children. Not a thrill seeking rollercoaster junky.
I love the park. The staff at the ticket booth were rude and unhelpful.
We took the kids for the day and they had a great time..
A great vibe and tons of fun for the family expenses are worth it!
This place is awesome. I would recommend getting a fast lane pass to beat the lines as it is hard to get a ride on all the rides. The lines get really long sometimes.
I absolutly love vally fair! Short lines! Will defidentaly come again!
I've always enjoyed ValleyFair every time my I went. Unfortunately, soak city was closed on Saturday without any notification. I was very disappointed.
I still give ValleyFair 4/5 because it's a fun place to go. My phone also fell out of my ZIPPER POCKET on the High Roller ride (My own fault). Staff was friendly and helpful to show me how to report it online. I tracked my phone and it showed the phone was located somewhere along the ground of High Roller. Frustrating because the phone is soo close yet soo far.
I spoke with front desk guest services and he stated it could take up to 2 weeks. TWO WEEKS!!!?, By then my phone will probably no longer work. I lost all hope and went home. Poof $900 out of pocket....
I get a phone call in the morning from my phone to my wife's phone. MAINTENANCE found my phone!!. I was really shocked and relieved. A big thanks to the worker that found my phone. GIVE THAT MAN A RAISE!!
Thanks again,
Many rides I went with my family and we got the fast lane passes which only work with some of the rides but is definitely worth it during mid day around 3-5 because lines can get very long. One thing I didn't like is that the fast lane is also a exit on some rides so people traffic is common
Went to Valley Fair yesterday and spent a lot of time at the water park.
We have season passes and added the drink plan on, I sent my 10 year old to get his drink and it took him a long time so I went to check and saw the employee totally ignoring my kid who was standing at the front of the line, asking people in back of him what they wanted (shame on those ADULTS for ordering when they also clearly saw him) even after pointing it out the employee STILL DID IT. Pretty terrible customer service ignoring someone, they finally helped him after another person said something (along with me). all in all to get a drink it took him 25 minutes to get his drink, 15 of which he was IGNORED! He was so upset by the situation he said he "never wants to go back there again" thankfully there is another drink option near the tube rentals so he doesn't have to. Hopefully if a Valley Fair rep reads this they take a moment to make sure their employees help EVERYONE, not just who they want. Other than that, the water park looks fantastic and even though it was crowded we still had a blast. Pretty disappointing there are only lounge chairs to sit in now, but I guess we can't have everything we want :) The two star review is strictly customer service related.
We had a great day and my five year old loved his first visit.
Not a top tier amusement park, but a fabulous option for the region.
Great for the kids. Larger ride s broke down several times during my visit.
Family friendly. Mostly clean (it's a kids park can't expect perfect) plenty of variety for a smaller theme park. Price is reasonable.
The place is big rides are fun especially the ones 5 on it I love it recommend
Poor park...no shade anywhere...food prices that would be expensive for sit down restaurant and it is poor quality.
Great for kids to run around and ride as much as they like...
In all honesty maby it was an off day for the park but steel venom lost a bolt and two other rides were down and running empty coasters through. I was very unsatisfied with my visit considering the cost.
Love valley fair but the subway is way to much $18 for a foot long
I love having a season pass. I love about an hour away and I'll come every week if not more. It's great exercise. I have never been disappointed worth the restrooms. They are clean for as many people are there in a day.
I had a blast on the rides. The most thrilling ride is the wild thing. I highly recommend it.
Terrible, over priced, also worked here was treated like crap by supervisors and upper management if they dont like you from the start your doomed understaffed worked 14 hour days a few times actually got fired after a 14 hour day on a international employees first day, she didn't have a clue what she was doing couldn't even do the saftey checks right very dangerous left a harness up on her side, was blamed for it by my supervisor who didn't like me from the start was 10x harder worker than her she remained employed.. got food poisoning from chicken strips said something to managment earlier in the year nothing was done, chicken strips often under cooked and pink, have a new park operations director this year way worse than year's past if things don't go his way very aggressive and angry the place is going down hill used to be the spot
Even if you haven't been on a roller coaster before, it's still fun.
The dinosaur statue outside spoke to something deep within me
Had fun all summer, hopefully we get a new roller coaster in the near future, and the parking lot needs to be repainted badly, but it's still always a good time. Come here at least twice a week with our passes! The all day drink pass totally worth it. Food pass not so much with the 4 hour wait in between but with passes we don't stay long enough to make that matter often anyway.
Thanks for a great season, next time the Dinosaur area should get a haunted experience that would be a blast!
Always a fun family time if you have not experienced it you must
Always a lot of fun. Clean. Well trained staff. Great rides. Lots of variety.
Halloween is our favorite time of year and ValleyScare does not disappoint! We took all of our adult children and significant others and had a total blast!
We had a lot of fun riding rides my 4 year old was disappointed that he wasn't tall enough for thunder canyon though
Love the waterpark. We will be getting season passes once my boys are a little older.
We enjoy it every time. Consider the drink deal and the dining deal if you have kids and plan to be there all day. If you are there during ValleyScare...be prepared they do a nice job.
Will never go back! I had a interview with 5 other people and 4 was kids. I dressed professionally with a suit and I have a little rose on my hand from my sister that passed away. One of the kids had tattoos on her arms and of course she is Caucasian and I'm African American. They denied my employment for a lousy $10hr because of a hand tattoo and my qualifications is well beyond working with you guys. But they let the kid get hired with the arm tattoos. Worst job experience ever will never go for employment or activities. Seems to me you guys are racist and will never refer anyone!
Clean. Plenty of rides. Well organized and helpful staff. Food is not the greatest but for adequate for amusement park. Can be expensive and gets very crowded with some long wait times but everyone was calm, orderly and well behaved. Also has a nice outdoor water park (something that is rare in Minnesota). This is a perfect spot to take kids, teens and 20yr olds for a fun day in the summer.
My family and I went to Valleyfair last month and we had an amazing time. We wanted this to be time spend with the family together which was something my teenage daughter did not quite like at first. But when we arrived, we had such a lovely time! Who said amusement parks are just for kids?! I felt like a kid and it was fun there were so many swings to try .and all the staff were really polite and friendly.
The food was cold and the workers was mean and insulting but it was ok but I would've talked to the manager but no one did anything about it
Rides are great. Food could greatly use a revamp. Line at Breakers Bay Bar was beyond ridiculous.
Definitely thinking about getting my family a season pass!
Water bottles are almost $5, you'll need to bring some spending money.
We went for Valley Scare and it was pretty fun! Definitely got spooked a few times walking through the foggy "scare zones." Ended the night with a hot chocolate
Family Fun! Family Friendly! And Family Memories! It's one of the best amusement parks I have visited so far. One tip I can give you is bring snacks or eat before you go if you don't want to spend a lot of money. Not saying it super pricey but of course the up the prices on food. But other than that it's awesome
I wish I could give zero stars! I came here a lot and have never left saying I had a good experience! Employees are terrible and most of their stuff doesn't work!
Decent park for a fun day with the family especially with the water park included! However I really think the prices have gotten outrageous. $17 for parking, in a lot that looks like it hasn't been taken care of in years, is absolutely ridiculous! Not allowing guests to bring their own food in and expect them to pay nearly $100 to feed a family of 4 is going to keep SO MANY people from spending the day at the park. Who wants to leave the amusement park and drive 2.5 miles away to another park to have a picnic (especially when they got there early and got a great parking spot and won't be able to get close when they come back). Even the money sucking Disney parks let you bring your own food in! If you allowed us to bring food in I would for sure spend money on Souvenirs and treats (which is probably where you make most of your money anyway along with parking of course) Also the smoking being allowed in the park is really sad. Even if it's just "designated areas" we all know smoke travels we could smell it the whole time we were in line waiting for Power Tower, and while we played in the freaking sand bit in the Dino exhibit (WHERE KIDS ARE!!!) Sorry if people smoke around their kids without care, but no one gets to make the choice for mine. Please at least consider moving the smoking area that is located by the Dino exhibit since it can harm children. It's my hope these pathetic charges are all in prep for the cost of a badly needed new roller coaster....one can dream right? LOL Nice staff, just really asking a lot for what you get.
It's fun the employees are friendly and knowledgeable.
If you go more than twice get the gold pass. I would be happier if their were less people but what do you expect at an amusment park lol.
Wasn't a super busy day, but getting onto rides was ridiculously slow. 20-30 mins minimum wait for 90-120 secs of ride time.
get a season pass its worth it after 3 trips and youll want to go more than that this summer. the new ride delirious is fun, but not very extreme, basically a remake of the looping startship but smaller. The northstar however, a fairly new ride, is amazing, i ride it 3-5 times every visit.
It was fun, but got really wet on some rides didn't like that. But had fun.
Great park but they could add more water rides and rollercoasters though. The best one is the wild thing!
Sucked that we had to leave early for an event. I should ve checked the website.
A few rides were closed.
Still had fun ...
I highly recommend coming with not only family/friends, but have kids with you because they make it a much better time!!
Expect to spend a lot of money and time here, very fun though.
Had a great time. We purchased ticket on Groupon and it was hassle free.
Wasn't very busy and kids didn't have to wait long for rides. This is smaller than six flags but had enough to keep our group entertained for a whole day. The water park was their favorite part.
Great family park. Clean. Frequently get conflicting information (making it so a child never knows if they will be allowed to do things that are within the stated rules for the ride) from ride operators, making it not quite 5 stars. We love the park and will continue to visit.
Fun until it got busy there. The lines were too long.
It s Valleyfair. Everything s Outrageous expensive but thats anticipated. Lines can be ridiculously long, go early to mid week or I d recommend not going at all.
We had a great time today at the valley Fair. I was able to ride most of the coasters. Everyone should ride the steel venom. The water park was amazing also all the slides and everything
Valleyfair's a lot of fun. Thrill rides and waterpark all rolled into one!
Fun amusement park that had added many new rides that last 2years
I love this place! Season passes were the smartest thing to get for the summer. The only complaint I have is rude kids that run through the park or run up the entrance ramp to get to the ride. Super annoying. Other than that it's great
It was pretty good. My only problem was the bees, but that's it. Lines are short, and for those of you who rated it terribly, you probably just did it on a busy day. It was kinda expensive, but get the meal deal and save the rest of your money for other things. Pretty big, so don't expect to cover the whole park in a day.
