Always enjoy coming here. Wonderful manageable zoo with great staff that care for these beautiful animals. The bird show is always a hit, very interactive. Train ride is fun. Elephants delight and they are always adding new animals and experiences. Fun!

Many animals, recommended the area of "Small animals buildings" beautiful specimens. Only one observation, it has a polar bears and in September the temperature is very high and you could tell that the poor man was stressed.

They've done a lot to improve this zoo sense I was a kid and the prices have stayed affordable. Going during the day in the winter is actually pretty nice because there are less people and the animals seem more active.

Always a great experience going with the kids. Pick a day that isn't too hot. Otherwise nice place to go once in a while. Waiting for them to add more animals. Feeding the giraffes are great. It costs $5 per person, but the kids won't forget it.

Do NOT try visiting this place if you have an emotional support animal, even with a doctor's note! They offered to hold my dog inside the lobby...even though I need her for emotional support. Idiots!!! They made me feel like my dog didn't provide a service to me. Just awful.

Pretty cute zoo with plenty of attractions to keep you and the kids entertained. I really loved the bird show. I think it was the best attraction there.... When we went the animals weren't so active and that kinda sucked but it was nice at least to see them. My 4 year old enjoyed it...

The zoo is always very clean and the keepers are conscious of how they keep their exhibits. Today we visited and picked up our membership passes that we bought a year ago and hadn't used because of covid. The guy helping us extended our pass without us even asking for it! Great customer service!

Hogle Zoo is such a landmark in my family's life. We've held family zoo passes for years when the kids were younger and still go a few times a year now that the kids are getting older. This time was during the Wednesday free day and even though the zoo was packed tighter than your typical weekend, we still had a great time looking and reading about the animals. My youngest always has to visit the 'snake' house first thing and everyone loves the garraffs.

People were really inconsiderate and stood by the glass for 20 minutes and it took too long to just get in and get a picture. I know that is not the Zoos fault. It was just a little frustrating.

A pretty nice place. There's a surprising number and variety of animals there.

Biggest suggestion is to find out when the brood mother's aren't bum rushing the place with a dozen kids each and go then. Save yourself the headache and enjoy seeing animals not hiding or dealing with headaches too.

There's a surprising amount of restaurants inside the zoo. Of which maybe one of them should maybe be renamed. Cat Wok Cafe, which sells Chinese food next to the big cat exibits. It's funny, but perhaps not the joke you want to make while trying to encourage animal conservation efforts.

There's also a train ride that gets you closer to some of the animals that's cute and great. Until the train goes from rolling by animals to some sort of movie set left over of a ghost town, and a caricature of a teepee. Then the conductor makes some crack about a cheif and wants everyone to make their best war cry. When you're married to a native American, riding along with your native American family, THIS NOT WHAT YOU WANT TO HEAR! So if you are in similar situation, talk with the conductor and slip him $20 to save yourself the trouble.

Saw the most amazing thing at this zoo today. Was with my family and a man who is a qaud amputee in his wheel chair was with his family and as we waited to ride the train around the African exhibit the train pulls up and was not only as professional and nice as can be. They where able to accommodate him amd his needs completely! They had a special ramp to put him on the train with room to move around in comfort and even made sure they locked him in safely before ever moving to the next person.this is by far the most amazing thing I've seen people do for people in a long time and it warms my heart to see there's still good people in this world. Aswell as this zoo is very fun and clean I highly recommend this place and was worth my family's time to drive from Colorado the way we did to come here. Five stars for sure!!<3

Well worth travelling from Northeastern Nevada to visit, in my opinion. They've made some improvements since we visited five years ago. If you have little kids, and forgot your stroller, the zoo's stroller rentals were pretty convenient at $10. We packed our own food in (which is allowed) to save money and time, but the restaurant grub smelled good. It's an attractive, well-built smaller zoo. The polar bear, sea lions, gorillas, lions, tigers, rhinos, and elephants were our favorites. And the meerkats. Go visit!

I love that the animals here are well taken care of. I have heard of horrible conditions of some zoo's and I am just really happy that the staff at The Hogle Zoo take great care of the wildlife! The Zoo is a great way to spend a few hours.

We went to the zoo for a company party and were told that the carousel and train were free. We stood in line forever just for a very rude and unfriendly female worker to tell my family that we could not ride. The news may have been taken better if the employee did not have such a rude tone. Not only was I upset but my child who had waited all day to do the rides was disappointed. I went to their customer service office where I was greeted by another employee who didn't seem to care at all. All I asked was that my son get to do one ride and I would wait for him and not go. No, they said and pointed to a brochure and told me to fill out a guest complaint card. Needless to say, our experience was poor and the people that are employee act as though they cannot be bothered.

I remember so many more animals in the past. Reptiles, amphibians, petting zoo of miniatures, happier more involved primates, interesting animals from the deer family. I was surprised that we did not see a single water dish with water in it. That was surprising. Also, there were no workers on hand to ask questions or notify of issues. Where were the turtles? Birds? Polar bears? Flamingos? It is sad to see the lack of animals.

We had a great family day at the zoo. The Orangutans were the highlight of the day! The train was broken which was a bummer. The zoo staff took the time to answer our questions and talk to our boys about the animals.

This place is great for the whole family, regardless the time of year. The hogle zoo lights were so fun, and being able to see animals at the same time was neat. Highly recommend going here for a good experience.

Our family LOVES Hogle Zoo. Its not so big that I feel dead after our that we have to miss anything. I really appreciate having a family membership since that means I can go whenever and not worry about making sure if I get my days money's worth. We can go for two hours or less or we can go the whole day and we don't have to worry about getting there 2 hours before closing since we can come back anytime. NOTE: the Garlic Parmesan Fries I'm the area where the polar meat and deals are. ..The Best! I would go to the zoo just for these fries!

We spent some time at the Hogle Zoo and it was nice because it was after hours for a work party. Not a huge crowd to fight with.

My only gripe is a number of animals had called it a day so there wasn't a lot to see. Some of the other exhibits also has other areas open to the animals that allowed them to leave the regular area. I'm sure they needed it but it was a bit sad to see my kiddos get so excited for animals they weren't able to see up close.

Loved the wide variety in animals, especially the human like creatures (monkeys, orangutans, apes Etc...) because they were so fascinating and gave me laughs when they did human like things or just wrestled. Overall, I loved the zoo, it did make me slightly sad seeing these beautiful animals having to be in cages though.

Crowded but still awesome. This zoo has great exhibits, knowledgeable employees and a clean atmosphere. Very very busy during spring break. It was hard to find parking. But we still had fun. The giant fruit bats are my favorite
