I have NEVER had such an impossible time making appointments. If you are an active duty beneficiary, look elsewhere for your healthcare if possible. The only reason for even 1 star is that I, as a healthy adult, was able to eventually get an appointment simply to get a referral off post and my own provider seemed completely capable of caring for his patients. This comment is not reflective of the actual providers, but the fact that it is impossible to get an appointment (or to cancel one). I have been trying to get an appointment for my children since June (it is now almost November) and the soonest available is December. I once waited 65 minutes on the appointment line to make an appointment that was later CANCELLED without my knowledge until I called to confirm what appointments we had and to be reminded of them (because they don't automatically send reminders for appointments despite making them months in advance). I have NO confidence that my children would receive medical attention if necessary, and that we would be forced to wait in the ER despite COVID conditions for basic medical care. In addition to the inability to make appointments and receive appointments within an appropriate amount of time, they referred people to off post clinics and pharmacies for the flu shot this year. Most pharmacies do not offer flu shots for children ages 3 and under. Not surprisingly, Fox does not offer flu shots for children 3 and over and "maybe you can try the health department?" Why do we even bother having a PCM? God forbid my children need regular medical care. After this interaction, I immediately called Tricare and switched to an off post provider of my own choosing, DESPITE having been told once before I MUST use Fox Clinic. Disgraceful. Of note, this is not our experience with MTFs everywhere. In fact, I have had nothing but excellent experiences with MTFs in the past which is why I was willing to stick it out with Fox.

Update: Having filed an ICE complaint and spoken with the appropriate authorities at the clinic, I understand this is not the intent of the OIC and that there are systems in place to handle the influx of patients. However, these systems are clearly breaking down at the appointment line/communication level. Appointments made through the messaging system directly to the provider are handled more appropriately.

Called and the phone was accidentally answered by someone and then I got to sit and listen to the office staff there in the blue clinic talk and laugh and carry on for about 11 minutes before they realized the phone had been answered and hung up on me. Then no answer after that and I called several times throughout the day

Rude, poor patient interactions, always blaming the patients for errors and issues, employees are always passing the buck, ridiculously long wait times.... the list goes on. Go off post if you can. I wouldn't waste my time with this facility. With a few exceptions, I can honestly say that the employees only care about the patients when someone important is looking. You will hear "we can't" & "we don't" more times than you ever thought possible at FAMC.

Takes close to and hour or longer to get your prescription. They need to improve the way they handle mass amounts of military families and retirees constantly coming to get prescriptions . Seems as if the pharmacist are in no rush at all. Worst part of coming to Fox Army Hospital .

If I could give Fox zero stars I would. Pharmacy is slow and regularly do not communicate new changes. The PA that was assigned to me is atrocious. Providers have no time to listen to any actual health concerns. There are basically no appointments right now because of COVID so they tell you to email your provider. My provider then told me to stop sending messages with symptoms and to make an appointment or go to urgent care. She even put "LOL" in the message. My symptoms are related to my heart. I am a healthy person that never goes to the doctor and is suddenly having problems so this is medically abnormal and significant. There is absolutely no kind of patient care or consideration at this clinic.

I like the pharmacists at FAHC, as they are very nice & polite. The only issues I have w/ FAHC Pharmacy is that they do not accept Electronically Prescribed Controlled Substances, nor do they accept transfers of these medications from Retail Pharmacies. Also, FAHC Pharmacy takes well over 3-days to call a Retail Pharmacy back to have any prescription transferred from FAHC to that other pharmacy! The only other issue I have is that you cannot fill prescriptions on the weekends. The waiting time can be over-the-top, but I do not mind. I enjoy the little eat-in cafe at FAHC called Grounded Coffee.

All of the staff I interacted with were the most helpful, professional, and friendly I've ever seen in healthcare. They certainly went out of their way to make my visit as productive and comfortable as possible.

A+ work! Thank you all!

It's really all about expectation management. As far as military clinics go, this one has been the best in my 22 year career. I mean sure it's not the picture of efficiency and the staff can be a little crabby (not shockingly they become much nicer once you treat them like human beings instead of functionaries), but its a military clinic, not Mayo. Once I get in front of a provider and/or the staff I find them to be reasonably responsive to my needs and interested in healthy outcomes for me. Dental is quite good (book far in advance) as is Optometry.

I'd give this place zero stars if I could. Many of the healthcare providers are a joke. The majority of the staff are rude and not helpful at all. Could go on and on about the misdiagnosing issues too. Heck I had a doctor tell me to give my five-year-old Benadryl every night to deal with her issues with sleeping. Who does that? Don't even get me started about trying to set an appointment. This place provides subpar healthcare at best.

I have been seen at Fox since 2009 when I was stationed here. I have since retired here and enjoy the quality care and service I receive going in. My primary care doctor is awesome! Only down side is how small the staff is due to downsizing by the Army. I wish the Army would get them more staff. Especially because we have such a large population of retirees.

Called for an appointment, 10 people in queue ahead of me. Waited on hold for an hour and 20 minutes before it said no one was available to answer (guess they went to lunch) and I would get a call back. It's 2018, how is this a thing still? At the very least offer the call back at the beginning.

I called the Fox Army Health Center Appointment Line and immediately received an automated message that my call was second in line. After about a 15 minute wait I the message said I was first in line. I waited 1 hour and 9 minutes. That's basically 35 minutes per caller to set up or change an appointment, assuming only one person answers the appointment line. A lady finally answered with "How can I help you?" and calmly told her how long I had been waiting when I was second in que. She simply repeated her greeting. No apology, no explanation, nothing. Oddly enough, I changed an appointment which took exactly 4 minutes so I'm wondering why the two callers before me took over an hour to assist. Perhaps the service rep was drinking coffee and socializing while I waited on the line to be served.

Woke up at 7:30 in the morning to be 24 in line. Waited an hour for them to tell me that they would email my provider with my prescriptions. Come to find out that I need to see the doctor for a prescription. I called again and they told me had to wait 3 weeks to see the doctor. When I already had an out of stayed trip planned In 2 weeks. They are not flexible at all. They do not care about their patient and their needs.
