WCB Manitoba Review

I don't know how this works but I have been waiting for their call for a month after getting injured at work .
Am still confused

Although assaulted by a shop lifter at my place of work on June 14/18, it wasn't until July 5 that I heard from my Adjudicator. I had left a previous message requesting he give me a call, but it was only when I phoned WCB's main line, that I managed to get through to him. After assuring me that a cheque would be ready the next day "at 3pm" and reassuring me that it would be there when I expressed surprise at the speed with which a payment would be made, I arrived this afternoon to find that no cheque had been drawn up. When I spoke with my Adjudicator after a half hour wait in their lobby and after confirming with the front desk that his notes did indicate that a cheque would be ready, he claimed that we had an "agreement" that my getting the payment was dependant upon his speaking with my employer. No such "agreement" was mentioned during my phone call and had he simply told me that I would have to wait until he spoke with my manager I would have understood. Had he called me during the day and explained his change of plans, I would have been disappointed, but still understanding. Instead, his assurance that I could pick up a cheque resulted in my driving through rush hour traffic simply for the purpose of discovering that my Adjudicator has still not spoken with my employer three weeks after my assault, didn't seem interested in speaking with me unless I called their main line, and left me with another assurance that he would call my employer on Monday. Later this afternoon, I learned that part of the reason I had to wait so long to speak with him in person was due to his calling my employer to get the information he needed to draw up my cheque while I was actually waiting downstairs to speak with him - in other words, he waited until approximately half an hour after he told me to come down to pick up this cheque to speak with my employer to discuss what my wage is. The worst part of this process is the fact that once I've been assigned an Adjudicator, I have to stick with him regardless of his lack of competency and interest. As it stands now, I'll likely have to return to work sooner than I should just to earn the living wage Worker's Comp is incapable of assisting with.

If I can rate to no star, I would like to that. Even 1 star is huge generous for them. Because here has horrible service. It is shame that our taxes is spent by this organization. The first reason, people who manage to accept or not are so rude and not kind. And second reason is that they did not make an effort for damaged or injured employees. It seems, this organization works for huge companies. They works only how companies wanted. If companies say "no" they give up too. It is like perpet. Then, Why are you existing?

Hey we have had the most horrible experience with compensation in Winnipeg. My husband has been a mechanic 23+ years doing the same repetitive work for all those years his shoulder was bothering him he had an MRI shows you lose the tendons hanging from that are that are use this 23 years to do his job so now he needs surgery, we applied for compensation and they did Nied us but yet But yet in the paperwork that they sent us they said at one point that it was not done at work and on the other hand in the same paperwork they said it was done at work. We have gotten letters from the surgeon the chiropractor that my doctor all stating that his injury could ve been caused from doing repetitive overhand work he does not go to the gym he is not any physical activity it is because of his work and now how dare they did Nied my husband who never stays home sick, we are going to appeal and we are going to fight this to the bitter end if we need to hire a lawyer we definitely will I was on their website and it says only 92% of the people apply for compensation get excepted and that is baloney we are not giving up so hope to hear from you compensation ASAP and maybe overlook my husband s file his name is Dave Peters born 1969 of May 2 who lives in Winkler Manitoba or 6W1G7 we are not stopping till we get some Flippin answers thank you from his wife who will knock , We are not backing off it is not fair re-read it figured out

They refused to pay even one day. Becuz my husband has left hand LOL (he broken right hand thumb finger)

Workers Compensation should in all reality be called, "Employer's Insurance"!
This entity requires a complete overhaul for all who have been injured in the job!
This sickness that messes with people's lives the way they do is criminal!

A first injury claim in 14 years as a nurse almost made me loose my home, because their doctor contested the symptoms I was having, and what my chiropractor and two doctors were reporting as my injury.... because i mentioned another un related symptom. so they waited on proof of a ct scan that takes weeks only to be inconclusive...to wait on an MRI...that takes months.... my claim was denied and prolonged....their doctor can dispute your claim no matter what. WCB will not help you don't make a claim unless you have several months saved up to cover mortgage and groceries ect. if you are hurt and they dispute it, because you said the wrong thing Ie. headache with a broken leg... their doctor says a headache isn't related to a broken leg.... don't say headache or your claim will be disputed and you will not have an income. Also, you will have to likely pre-pay any health benefit insurance from that day on, because you are now a risk.... Banks wont like to hear you may have a disability claim on your mortgage, credit cards flag you as a risk and everything changes... think about it before you claim... you can loose it all!!!

Only used them once. My worker was an evil woman. I can only assume that she is a very attractive woman because she was not hire for her ability to think or her personality or the way she treats others. She must have other "assets" that the boss likes. I can't give details of the way I was treated because then I'll be black-listed it I ever need to use them again. But, next time, I'll just use my sick time instead of going to them again.

Why do we pay taxes? This company makes my feel sympathy for people that dont pay taxes as if they are doing the right thing.

I've been on workers compensation since September 20 2018 , broken hip, palves, smashed elbow, shoulder
now at the lowest part of my life,WCB has cut my earnings to 622.86 every 2 weeks, they also told me that they will not pay for any medication,gym membership,or training .. I've paid into WCB for over 23 years ,, .. in my opinion workers compensation are fosters taking the working class people's money just like our government ..what can I do??

If I could give WCB zero stars I would. I spent my time writing a very comprehensive review weeks back and guess what? It was deleted. Wow! WCB is a very fraudulent company and should be taken down. My treatment was to run till August 31st only for a lady called Kim to phone me last week to cancel my chiropractic treatment abruptly because according to her she has the authority to do so this lady was absolutely rude and should not be working in a customer service role. Any company that deletes reviews is obviously shady. I hurt my wrists, back and hand back in March and it took them almost 3 months to approve my claim (so obviously it needed more time to treat since my joints were very sore and stiff! No empathy from her because I m just a case file she needs to close. I pray you guys shut down soon because you are no good! Shame on you all for all the lies your in house doctors tell just so you can save money for your company to the detriment of injured workers. There is no peace for the wicked. Isaiah 48:22

Does virtually nothing for injuries takes forever to simply make a claim or get a doctors note, very un responsive an a terrible service

They are a bunch of deceptive people. They know what they are doing is wrong and manipulative.

I was reminded that this was an insurance company first

After waiting over a month to see if they would cover my time off for carpal tunnel surgery. They denied my claim.. Not happy. I'm a plumber that uses my hands all the time it doesn't make sense. I go home in pain most days from work. Work shouldn't hurt! It's not my fault I'm like this. This insurance company knows how to work the rules. This is not good for me and my family. Thanks for nothing..

Anyone can walk in here and file a claim for a paper cut and get on compensation for 1 year.

Kristen Jung was my adjudicater I explained I got hurt at work and was promptly laid off ! My wcb claim was approved! I met with her and corresponded with her multiple times .I told her from day 1 the company I work for gave me 2 weeks of modified duties after said Injury and my dispatch had told me they couldn't accommodate modified duties ! And wanted to lay me off so I told my employer "do what you gotta do" ....at no time did I ask or agree to a layoff ! But my employer did lie and said I asked for a layoff and refused modified duties which were never offered to me ! I'm a workaholic by nature and would have took anything work wise offered !...i usually work 140hrs every 2 weeks now that being said she said my employer offered me modified work and I refused which I did not and my employer told me there are no layoffs and I'd have work throughout the winter otherwise I would have left and found work accordingly .....
So now I am hurt and cannot apply anywhere as I have restrictions but if I was healthy I could apply and make 10k a month .....she says it doesn't matter and she doesn't care what I could make everything I said was a lie even though I provided documents proving my point ! He careful with this lady ! She will sell you out when your in the right !....so my physio therapist had given me restrictions for return to work and she sent them to wcb KRISTEN JUNG and all my reports showed I was getting better ! After she denied my claim for wage loss she says according to you reports your getting worse lol meanwhile the reports show that I'm getting better ....so if she cannot read a physio report how can she read anything remotely to my claim and say I lied and she will take the employers side even though no proof was given on their side !??? Qualifications !!!! It's sad though now I'm struggling with ptsd and high blood pressure due to her lack of knowledge and education being unable to comprehend reports that I verified with my physio therapist that had said they are unable to understand how a individual could say what a person is capable of making their own judgement without proper education in the field of rehabilitation...also from November 1st my injury to January 25 wcb has not contacted my Dr or physio therapist for a update ! They don't care and they don't care about you as it's apparent

Change your mission and your vision . You not there to help people who get injured. You'll take any penny possible to keep it in your fat pocket. Wonder what you'll get when you get injured on work. EVERYONE OUT THERE STAY SAFE AND ATAY AWAY FROM THESE LEECHES

Always a run around with them they don't make any sense I gotta open a new claim for re injuring the same thing

Got hurt on the job - my adjuster did everything to make me wait - said she asked for doctor reports took 4 weeks still not in - I called the hospital talked to records had the reports the same day. Straight out lies to me. We need a change for the better
