Ordered a pair of lovely chairs which arrived as described. Delivery was delayed tho but there were some form of communication.

Excellent, modern furniture at a reasonable price. I had good customer service during my order - including some minor bespoke modifications on one item - and it was ready as promised. They called me to say that delivery would be delayed by a day, but then managed to get it to me a day later with no issues, calling beforehand to confirm. The furniture itself is well made, although note that the shelving units are not heavy duty and have a bit of give. But compared to other options in this price-range I think this is a really excellent choice.

Amazing service, loved that the furniture is made in London and delivered by bike. So refreshing to order from a company that really care rather than an online giant. Already have made a list of more furniture to order from Unto The Last.

Thank you for helping me disassemble my wardrobe when I was moving house. It was much appreciated especially considering that I bought the wardrobe a few years back. Both the guy who came to my flat and the person I met at the workshop were incredibly helpful.

I think the quality of the workmanship is good but their customer service is dreadful. I can appreciate there is a pandemic which may slow things down but a complete lack of any communication is not good enough. I was unable to get hold of someone to confirm delivery time or slot and no number to call on the day which meant that I had to re-arrange twice because they missed their delivery slot and didnt contact me.

Last month I took them a table and chairs I had bought 8 years ago. They fixed and polished them for free, and now look like new! They really care about the quality and delivering a good product.

The products are beautiful but the communication and service absolutely appalling.

I bought three lampshades and am very pleased with them. The product is beautifully designed, minimalist and relaxed.

I am relieved and happy to report that customer service has improved from what used to be hopeless and business destroying to being delightful. Heather is proactive, charming and helpful and the Unto This Last delivery gentlemen are a godsend.

After a few weeks delay on our furniture, which we were incredibly unhappy about, we experienced excellent customer service to get our table and chairs to us as quickly as possible. Their staff member, I think his Ben, was very helpful and friendly. We ve not got the tables and chairs in our kitchen and we absolutely love them! Thank you UTL team for all your help

We've used Unto this Last many times before and always been happy. Unfortunately this is not one of those times. We ordered furniture 5 weeks ago and we are still waiting. The money went out of our account and we received a confirmation email with a delivery date and then heard nothing else. The delivery date has long passed and there has been no response to emails or phone calls. Not sure what we can do next! Maybe best to avoid the company for now.

My husband ordered a bed a few months back, Unfortunately the size was incorrect however the lady working there went above and beyond to ensure it was solved. Proves that dealing with small companies is always a better option.

I have had a positive experience with Unto This Last from start to finish. I found them to be extremely responsive at every stage from initial order to collection. I also visited the showroom to view some samples and was very impressed by their beautiful workshop. Yesterday we collected our beds and we couldn't be happier with them. The quality of manufacture is exceptional and they represent extremely good value for money. I will be definitely be returning! Thank you.

Fine experience. Visited their show room and workshop which you can look around prior to ordering. Delivered on time when they said in a green way by a team on bicycles. If you want lower volume, well made hand furnishings these guys are will be great. I had no issue with customer service at all. I was contacted and informed of the delivery day before. I ordered a dining table, benches and chairs along with shelving. Very satisfied. Definitely would recommend.

ABOMINABLY POOR SERVICE.

I have never received such poor and disinterested customer service in my entire life, having lived in the UK, Spain, and the Philippines. My pain points in chronological order: 1) Back in early Feb, I dropped them an e-mail to put an order through (as per their website's instructions), and I didn't hear back from them. 2) I called their store, and it took me 4 attempts to finally get through to someone. Turns out they don't have a "sales manager." I finally managed to put the order on 11 Feb with expected delivery on 17 March. 3) Come 16 March, I had no news of the delivery, so after 3 attempts, I managed to get through to someone who confirmed delivery would take place the next day. 4) And guess what? They hadn't taken down my credit card details correctly, so payment hadn't gone through. It wasn't until I called to follow up on my delivery that they brought this to my attention! Delivery was done smoothly; I even received a call from the team to inform me that they were 5 mins away from the house. 5) After inspecting each item, I noticed that one of the chairs was defective (do they not have internal quality controls before dispatching to customers?), I called up (this time at the first attempt, thank goodness!) to request an exchange. I am informed by a "lovely" lady that a replacement would be delivered the coming Wednesday. 6) Delivery day comes, and I unfortunately missed one fateful call from this lovely lady. In this digital age, one is spoiled for choice on ways to reach people. They have my mobile number and e-mail address, so couldn't they have texted me or e-mailed to cover all bases? I'm sure anyone who works long hours and is in back to back meetings isn't glued to their mobile phones to attend personal matters around the clock. I tell myself that missing her call isn't a big deal because the delivery team will anyways contact me on their way (as they did with the first delivery). But this was unfortunately not the case. 7) Delivery was never made. I call the store AGAIN, and after 2 attempts and a voice mail (which they never returned), I finally reach the lovely lady. 8) I start by explaining that I'm not very happy with the quality of service. Like teflon, she argued her way through the conversation, explaining that this was a result of me not returning her call on delivery day. I reiterated that the delivery team didn't contact me either, and she became defensive, so I responded with sarcasm. To which she kindly imparted some words of wisdom: "sarcasm will not get you anywhere". Having worked in client facing roles, the first rule of handling angry customers is to calm them down by sympathy, and heck, just apologise! An apology costs nothing! In summary, beautiful product and abominably poor customer service.

The reason I am giving a one star review is because although the staff here are lovely and trying to do their best by all the customers, Oliver, the owner ultimately will treat you contempt. I asked for a response from him over many months after they failed to meet deadlines with zero communication, having been into the shop 3 times, phoned many times and emailed many more. His response was to simply refund my money with no explanation or acknowledgement. His team were super helpful but equally felt bewildered by his actions.

Nice products, poor customer service. Ended up finding comparable furniture elsewhere where I was treated like a valued customer.

My TV stand just totally collapsed and the TV fell on me. THANK GOD it didn't break. I bought this one year ago for my old apartment...for the past year the TV was mounted so it was merely a decorative piece underneath. Just moved to a house and decided to use the stand this time. My TV is not heavy at all. The front frame of the stand popped off THREE days later and the whole thing just wobbled apart like a sad Jenga tower. The front frame was CLEARLY never attached. Ugh um so tired of being constantly ripped off. And here I was trying to support a local business. I better be able to get this fixed!!!

Still no delivery of my coat stand after over 6 weeks of waiting. Tried to call various times, left voicemail messages, sent emails. I was told my order would be delivered 3 days later than the original agreed date. Now no response or More

Highly recommended furniture shop! Purchased many of their products over the years and I am always impressed by the high quality of craftsmanship, the excellent customer service and the very sensible price points. My latest purchase was their new sofa. Nat and the team have been lovely in ensuring that it will be delivered in time. It is a beautiful piece with a lot of character. Keep up the good work guys and maintain that warm, independent feeling of almost running a family business with very high standards!

A distinctive range of birch-plywood based products manufactured on the premises.Their specialised 'technique' seems best suited to the interpretation of chairs, benches, tables and shelving.

Failed to deliver items I ordered for weeks past due date. Didn t respond to emails or return calls. Customer service is incompetent. Managed to get my money back in the end. Shame, because the furniture is nice. Why they haven t changed their customer service after all these complaints I have no idea.

An interesting product let down by utterly woeful, disinterested customer service. Ironic that such a high-tech production process is served by such hapless and amateurish personnel! I have waited weeks for these people to confirm that they could carry out a modification to one of their designs. Weeks of ringing, empty promises of call-backs, stalling tactics, conflicting information, the list goes on. When I finally got to speak to the owner after leaving countless messages requesting him to call me back, he turned out to just as unprofessional as his team - but with considerable rudeness on top! Avoid at all costs. Poor John Ruskin that he should be honoured by such shabbiness!

Unto this last make great furniture. We've bought lots of stuff from here and it's all done to a very high standard, feels built to last, and is very affordable.

They make everything made-to-order. Which means
a) They have lots of options to make their furniture to different sizes, so you can get something to fit whatever space you have to put it in.
b) They never have a sale (as there is no old stock to get rid of).
b) You have to wait a while for them to make it...

Every order we have purchased from them has been late, some a week or so and some over a month. While it can be a bit frustrating, I don't particularly mind it.
Just don't be in a hurry to get your furniture, if you need something quickly then maybe look somewhere else.

Really positive experience from our second order in recent years - our desk was actually delivered a week ahead of schedule and it looks great.

Gorgeous collections and awesomeness all around. Every floor is a magical kingdom of design and marvelous furniture. The top floor is my favorite. Be sure to checkout the cafe and the gorgeous stairs on the back. Very helpful and nice stuff

Awful experience. Ordered furniture but received no order confirmation although the money was taken out of my account. Multiple emails and phone calls but not one reply in over a month. Please avoid.

Great shop for modern and individual furniture at a reasonable price. Everything is made in-house. A fitting tribute to John Ruskin's ideal against mass production.

We have bought from Unto This Last on multiple occasions and the quality and finish of their furniture is fantastic. We recently needed a piece of furniture adapted and they did this for us at very little cost and they even picked it up and dropped it off to our address. Outstanding service and an outstanding product that I would highly recommend.

We mulled buying a table, bench and chairs for over a year. We re so glad we actually went for it. Beautiful finish and has brought our family together at meal times. Stuart was amazing help.

The production ethics behind this company are as good as it gets, and the resulting products look and feel great.

All the pieces are made in the workshop at the back of the store and my dream is to get a desk made here.

We have mostly been buying desks and board room tables from this company. We've always been very happy with the quality and design of the products! Recently they have really improved their response time which makes ordering from them a smooth and pleasurable experience.
As a smaller business they need all the support they can get and they come highly recommend us!

Aboslutley Shocking customer service. I have waited over 4 months for 3 drawers which i was told would take just a couple of weeks to make. I have left numerous messages & send untold amount of emails but not received a single response! I finally managed to speak to somebody today to find out my drawers still haven't been made even though they took my money when i placed the order many weeks ago. I'm not in the habit or writing negative reviews about business' esp when they are small business' but i feel strongly about advising others to not use them so you don't have to endure the frustration that i have recently.

Disorganised, slow, uncommunicative team. Not just one purchase but time after time. Some lovely products, which is why I kept coming back, but you can get similar elsewhere for the same cost and much, much better service. So I'll not be buying from here again until something improves. They dine out on their creativity and must make good profit. So I'd encourage them to grow up as a business and invest in some operational staff to run the place, whilst the creative team work their magic.

I ordered shelves. Not only did they NOT even fit together properly, they couldn t even carry any weight. The shelves bent in the middle.

And that s not the least of the problems. The customer service is non-existant. I cannot recall how many times I have tried to chase them. Excuse after excuse. Communication is terrible!
It s been months, still waiting for some kind of resolution. Frankly - I d rather have my money back!

Unfortunately I have to agree with another recent poster. I've 8 pieces of furniture from Unto this Last. It's simple, stylish and hard-wearing, I love it, but the service is diabolical to be frank. Long, repeated delays to production are common, you get automated emails of delays with no apology and no response to emails. Very disappointing. I'll also be avoiding until they can demonstrate better customer service.
