2 parks, heavy on the theming and thrills! Standouts include the 2 Harry Potter themed lands, the Jurassic Park, Simpsons, King Kong, and Transformers rides. There a lot of screen based, motion simulator type rides and Universal does them really well. Try the Butterbeer! The Toothsome Chocolate Emporium was really good and had some crazy milkshakes.

Fun time between both parks. Besides the wait times, I have not a single complaint. Just can't wait until my next trip so we can go on the new Harry Potter ride Hagrids Motorbike Adventure.
The overall experience is worth it even though everything is very expensive. There are some attractions that are more worthy than other. During weekends wait line can be veeery long (up to 3 hours, especially for the Harry Potter's rides) so better to plan it ahead.
A full day of Universal Studios and Island of Adventures! P2p with Express Pass and it was worth it! All the rides are awesome! We did have couple hiccups but Dave in Guest Services took care of us. Can't wait to go back!!!
Such a wonderful place to visit. I know it is pricey, but I recommend the two park pass. We will be going again for sure, especially if we find some discounts ;)
It was OK, I'm not going to say it's something that it's not. The rides were great but the staff weren't great. I was sworn at by one of the younger staff members and told to shut my mouth and get on with my day. Appalling, I know! Not impressed...
We visited both islands and studio in one day back in Feb, we didn't queue any more that 10-15min max which was great, allowing us to ride everything that we wanted to go on no problems. Try avoid bring a bag, get there early and wear clothes that will quickly dry, and remember to have fun
My favorite theme park i recently visited Volcano bay love love love this water park staying at Cabana bay resort made it even better cant wait to visit again
Signage could do with improving to guide guests to rides and appropriate lines. Staff need to be more efficient with loading rides, numerous seats went unfilled when there were single riders waiting.
Although the newest Harry Potter ride wasn't working, we still had a great time riding the other two! Diagon Alley and Hogsmeade are definitely must-sees!! The whole experience was amazing!
An amazing experience, last time I was in the parks was 18 years ago, so it was amazing to see how the park had evolved! It s a super recommended thing to do! And I would recommend buying the Quick service Dining plan! It s worth your money!!!
Way better the magic kingdom simply because the lines were short no need to spend on Express passes and of course Hogwarts can't beat that sorry Disney we love you but Universal is doing it right
So much fun! My first time as a 46yo with a school group. Can't wait to come back with my own family. Lots of great places to eat when you 1st arrive into the park.
Great parks. Parking can be a hassle during busy times and the walkways are commonly not working. I wish single rider lines were open more often or operated more efficiently (looking at you super hero island)
This place was absolutely amazing! So much fun stuff to do here it is overwhelming. Ticket prices for a single day, 2 park was fairly expensive to say the least but I'm really glad we got the entire experience. The lines for the rides went fairly quickly to be honest but even the ones that were longer they constructed them to be quite entertaining and enjoyable. Lots of variety on places to eat that are not too expensive but be sure to where a good pair of shoes because there is definitely alot of walking.
The downfall of when I went was dungeon dragons was closed for a new ride to be put in for part of the Harry Potter experience, and the best days to go is during the week avoid Friday's through Sunday's for the best experience!
Had a blast. Wish I had a 2nd day to accomplish more. The Hulk roller coaster ride was absolutely the best. Enjoyed the Harry Potter experience with the 2 park ticket option. Would like to see more of the 3D rides.
Over priced and then double charge to use both parks and you'll need to in order to get to everything. And I love reading reviews from universal workers about how great everything is lol only to discredit the poor reviews from actual customers. And yes very few rides and tons and tons of shops.
Honestly one of the best decisions I ve ever made was going on vacation to universal by myself: the waterpark is worth it. The the ring is top notch and the tapu tapu is very convenient.
If you like the characters that Universal has, then you'll enjoy the parks. City Walk and the parks are all within walking distance of each other, and your hotel is just a boatride away. No need for long commutes inside the park!
Universal has done it. All precautions taken. Well done Universal Orlando. Social distancing reminders are clearly marked with Audible reminders to distance and wear your mask. Social distance is 2-dimensional as well. Thank you Universal! Naturally walking ..."in transit" social distance is hard to maintain.... So have your mask. Hand sanitizer is readily available and a squirt of hand sanitizer b4 each ride. ... Even the cars are parked socially distanced.
Visited several times now and I never get tired of it. There is always something new and familiar to visit. One thing I would like to see though is lower parking prices.
I love this theme park! We always have a great time. Diagon Alley is amazing! There are quite a few shops, the do an awesome showing of the Three Brothers story and the Hogwarts Express ride was fun too! With that I recommend riding it both ways because it's a different experience going each direction. The Gringotts ride is also a lot of fun and the settings while you're in line are gorgeous. (The Gringotts ride can make you a little nauseous though so I wouldn't recommend riding it on a full stomach.)
Super fun place to visit. The Harry Potter environments were just awesome to see in person. Made me feel like I was really there. Rides are a lot of fun too!
Such a place we had a blast, great place for all ages, toilets, smoke areas, topup juice with prepaid cups, give yourself plenty of time to explore, food outlets can be expensive but really good food, waiting times for the rides this time of year can be up to 80 minutes, take plenty of sun screen and let your dreams begin
Big, clean, fully immersive experience. Team members are friendly and helpful. Hagrid's, Hulk & the Mummy were our favorite rides. Fast & Furious not worth the time.
Never visited this place until today. Overall, its a pretty good alternative to those who can't afford the price of Disney. The wait times are usually 1/4 of what the sign says they're and the longest time I had to wait in line today was around 10 minutes long, which is a big plus. My only real problem is that so many of these rides use screens. Screens are not really a problem in amusement parks, I mean, it's cool to see what some of these parks make of them, but there is just so many. Other than that, I would definitely recommend this park.
Wayyy overcrowded. Very poor management. Restaurants had unfriendly staff, rides were 2+ hour waits. Theme parks should be regulated similar to hotels and have a reasonable capacity.
So much to see and do. Great adventures around every turn. Only wish was that there was an all day fast pass option for pass holders instead of just after 4pm
We've been to so many different water parks growing up in Florida but this is our absolute favorite. Love the fact that you don't wait forever in the lines. So many rides to experience that in 2 trips to Volcano Bay we still have a few rides to experience.
Not as big as I thought it would be but very fun! Highly recommend staying at a resort. If your interested in rides, stay at a resort that includes express passes! We were finished with the park's and rides by 12 or 1 everyday (not including volcano bay) and was able to enjoy our resort pool and go back when the park was less crowded and not as hot.
Always the best amusement park. Didn't like "Fast and Furious" ride that much, missing more adrenaline, more action, more excitement. Love the families rooms and the Child Swap. Also, I think the should start making bigger seats for big and fat persons
One of my favorite places (Loew's Portofino Bay Hotel) on Universal Studios. First class accommodations give you that 5 star experience. Luxurious without being too extravagant, the suite pictured was perfect for my large family (about 3,000 square feet). I highly recommend adding the club package as it includes meals and snacks (unlimited). I never needed to go to the parks, although I did. This hotel offered all of the activities and services I could ask for, including 3 pools, nightly movies in one of them, a full service spa, several restaurants, plenty of shops and walking trails.
Visited Volcano Bay on a Sunday. $26 parking. Must park in a garage and take a bus to the park. A ticket booth is located in the garage along with a Will Call. $85 for adults. $80 for kids. Must got through security and metal detectors before boarding bus. Approximately 5 minute bus ride. Ticket booth also at the entrance to the park along with Guest Services and Tapu Tapu kiosks. Park is super clean and well maintained with lush and beautiful landscaping that looks like you walked onto a beach resort. Cabana Bay resort towers over the entrance to the park. The volcano is exactly how it looks from pictures. There are seats EVERYWHERE. Would consider a cabana rental for future trips. Park could definitely use more actual map signs since you can get lost and misdirected easily and locating a bathroom shouldn't require asking someone. It was extremely hot and the kiosks selling drinks and snacks were running out before 2pm, which is not a good thing. Stood in line for 30 minutes attempting to get a $13 hamburger. When ordering, you must wait at the same spot to receive your order so it takes forever to get food. Two burgers and three drinks was over $40. We brought out own bottled water and snacks so that helped. Tapu tapu was barely used by anyone in our party and when it was, it was early or late. Family consensus was that the rapid river was the funnest, most exciting and hair raising experience in the park. A pair of shades and prescription glasses were lost in the rapids and a couple scrapes and bruises were received. Also, one of the Volcano slides has a rough patch that scratched up the back of my daughter as her bathing suit was not full bodied and didn't cover that area. Upon leaving, the lost glasses were greatfully recovered at lost and found. Unfortunately it did rain several times during our visit and it was lightning so it repeatedly delayed and eventually prematurely ended our trip. My grandson was devastated when he was forced to get out of the lazy river due to lightning. Definitely try to go when it isnt raining. All in all, it was an enjoyable experience that I definitely recommmend.
Let me start by saying we very much enjoyed our day at the Universal Studios Theme park. We spent approximately 10 hours in the park and went to nearly every attraction they had to offer. Tickets are pricey but worth it. We did not invest in the Express pass and did not have to wait much. The app allows you to see wait times for each ride and we went from there.
The only downside to this park in my opinion is the 3D/4D rides. Majority of they rides they offer at this location are either a simulator (as they call them) or a mixture of roller coaster and simulator. The simulators consist of sitting in a stationary object that makes you feel as if you are on a ride by using movement and screen projections and is more of an optical illusion. This made everyone in my family except for the little ones feel discomfort after rising multiple simulator type rides. Our kids had no complaints for the most part. It is easy to get motion sick on these rides even if you are not prone to motion sickness. The feeling is so intense on some portions of the rides that you have to close your eyes or take the glasses off. The Simpson s ride is probably the worst of the bunch in this aspect due to its out dated.
Diagon Alley was absolutely amazing and Gringots bank as an awesome experience.
We had a great day out when visiting Orlando the only grumble was the 'lazy river' was far too over crowded the whole time we where there. The visual aspect of the place is very well done.
I've had my Universal Orlando preferred annual pass since 2009 and I plan on keeping it for as long as I'm alive. Universal Orlando and it's amazing theme parks have been my second home since I moved to Orlando and each time I visit one of the Universal parks I get so many wonderful memories. Universal Orlando is always changing, always evolving, always looking for new ways to amaze and entertain us. I'm already dreaming about the day I'll be able to visit their new theme park opening in 2023, Universal's Epic Universe, that will truly be an Epic day!
We always have a great time we go all the time and have learned witch rides to start with to get the most rides in short time in the morning and going back after 4:00 pm.
Wonderful rides...very pricey during Spring Break, but that's to be expected...pay attention to the Express pass if buying it separately- recommend using the will call kiosk option to print it out vs. mobile option as u can't take ur phone on all rides...guest services can print them out for u if u choose the mobile option...also pay attention to select the correct park for the Express pass if you're only visiting one park...otherwise you'll have to visit guest services to have them change those for u as well and it can be a hassle...overall, always a great place to go for a day full of fun with the family!
