Did not let us in until 8 minutes before movie started. Theater was dirty. Girl behind concession counter was very rude and only one window was open for tickets with a line down the curb. Not run very well. Needs new management.
This is my favorite theater in town! The seats are comfortable and the regal rewards program is so good!
Their unsweetened tea is the Baum if I say so my self.
Comfortable seats. Prices seem to have gone down slightly. Enjoyed the movie.
Seating is very comfortable and the ticket prices are very reasonable.
Assigned seating, decent theaters, unfortunately expensive snacks..
The movie was great, but the service was not, the guy that we ordered drinks and popcorn from was rude, he acted like he hated his job, gee! Smile to your customers.
Clean, comfortable. Went to matinee to see faith based film, about 20 people there. Not odd for secular town like Abq.
Great seats.
Best seats in town... All they need is a liquor license.
Clean and friendly. The layout is a bit confusing if you re in a hurry, but the staff will direct you.
The bathrooms were filthy the worst bathroom I ve been in a while. Also, I asked several times for the AC to be turned on and nothing. I went with a party of 5 and all of us were miserable leaving full of sweat. I will never be returning to this theater I would not recommend this for a movie night.
My boyfriend and I both have horrible jobs. We work all week are mentally and physically drained by Friday. Life of a parent is hard. We work all day then come home to hearing our kids complaining, breaking up fights, cleaning up after the kids and doing homework. On this particular Friday, we got up early, dropped kids off at school/daycare and spur of the moment descion, we decided to play hooky. We called in from work and spent the whole day having fun and sneaking around like teenagers. The plan was to end the day with dinner and a movie. We had a great dinner then went to the theater to watch It 2. The recliner seats were comfortable at first but after 2 hours and 50 mins my back felt as if I fell off a 2 story house. I am now leaving reviews for a great chiropracter I found that has me on a treatment plan for the pain caused by your recliner seats.
Hitman's Bodyguard in theater 16 on 9 September @ 12:30. Probably my last visit. Three of us attended and all agreed. Volume after the already loud previews doubled. 3-6 db for the techies. Experienced ear pain/discomfort for hours after the movie.
I would enjoyed movie but not the trash underneath my seat and the arm rest was sticky.
This is a ok theatre but they list student pricing on there chart when I asked about it they told me they don t give student prices. Great false advertising as a result I will not be returning to this location in the future.
My wife prefers attending this cinema over others because of their comfy reclining seats compared to the AMC that's closer to our home. The service is always good and the popcorn etc is priced relatively similar to other theaters.
Least accommodating theater I ve been to in my life.
Love the recliner seating. Super comfortable and spacious. I had a awesome visit and saw an amazing movie. Will definitely be back.
Prices are average and you get discount price for seniors. Love the adjustable seat where you lean back as if in your living room. Pretty clean
Just informed, get this, Regle in some areas will offer the whole Cinema to single individual for $99.00. This is real. They are that desperate. Hope you can bring your family. That would be superior! Have to check this out.
I love this theater. Not usually super packed. They have a pretty full menu with burgers, chicken sandwichs and a bunch of yummy stuff. Plus you can spend time in the mall prior to the movie.
Always very busy, uncomfortable seats, and sold out showings.
This theater is one of our favorites. Yes, reserved seating costs more but it's so worth it!!
I L.O.V.E. THIS PLACE. I love the seating, and the options on the seats, like i feel as if i'm at home watching a horror movie. My grandpa actually fell asleep while on these seats so that was funny lmao.
Love this venue but air condition temp is much too cold
They have an app to pay extra and get tickets on your phone but if there are three seats it won't allow you to choose them. So you drive down to the theater and the seats you could not have have been sold to another couple with the 3rd seat still empty. They won't fix this because they don't care. There are other theaters in town who care about why they are doing. Forget these clowns.
Unfortunately this management team doesn't seem interested in hiring people who care about customer service, screens and projecters that function properly or our overall experience. This is now the 3rd time that we've sat in the theater listening to the previews with no image in the screen. When we report this to the staff their response is typically something along the lines of "if you just wait it will come on eventually". We then wait for an additional period, usually 20mins or so until the movie begins.... We then have to go back outside and inform them that it did not come on after all. This entire process inevitably adds 30mins or more to our movie "experience". Looks like we won't be coming back here.
I think it's really impressive that you ask that question. I've left hundreds of reviews and I think that you're the only one who ever asked how they could improve my experience.
I wish that I could tell you. But it's been more than a year since I visited this location.
I live on the other side of town in the Northeast Heights. So, I don't visit Cottonwood Theater very much. But I'll try to make a point of stopping by for a movie so that I can update my review.
I can say that I don't recall anything negative about the experience of visiting your establishment. That's a good thing.
Thank you again for asking and as I said, I'll try to visit again soon.
Improved movie theater. Great and comfortable reclining seats
I am revising my entire review because I think its worth noting that I have a different experience almost every time I enjoy this theatre.
I will say that I have never had a bad time here. I've been coming here since the late '90s when it first opened up. It is a nice theatre.
There are certain areas that look new, cleaner, and refurbished and other areas that look outdated and from the original design from the '90s. It's very jarring that some parts are updated while others are stuck in that era.
I will say that it looks like lately they are making more of a push to make the entire theatre look more uniform.
One area that could definitely use major overhauling is the bathrooms on all lower levels. They are small and just look dingy (even when they are clean). The bathrooms are the weakest area and like most of this aging mall; meaning there is always something Out of Order 90% of the time.
On the positive notes: the concessions are courteous even when busy (and they are ALWAYS busy). The quality of concessions is good and you standard movie theatre up-pricing (which I expect so I'm not put off by it).
The addition of wider isles and new reclining seats with trays is a nice addition, making this one of the go-to theaters for me and my family.
The presentation of the films is always enjoyable. The screens are clean, the auditoriums are clean, and the sound and brightness is good.
This is more of a family-friendly theater because its in a mall so I've never experienced any shenanigans with other customers (unlike Century Rio 24; you never know what you'll get).
So I recommend, but I only ask that they please update their lobby and lower-level bathroom area. That's enough for me to only give 4/5 stars because a bathroom should be functional and nominally clean at all times (especially with as much Staff as they employ).
My son, Larry & I love this place. It has become "Our Thing ."
My new favorite movie theater! Love the new seats. Extremely comfortable and plenty of space between the rows. Also love the fact I can reserve my seats.
Nice comfortable reclining seats in the upstairs theaters. The staff is very nice here. One of my favorite theaters in town.
The assigned seating is annoying. Cannot see the map to pick out a seat when purchasing tickets. The theater has less seats and shows are sold out. I do not need to recline, and I do not want to have to sit if the first two rows. I want a normal theater. I will most likely not return to Cottonwood.
It was soooooo cold! We had small blankets and almost walked out because it was freezing cold.
Amazing service! Great reclining seats and tables, great restrooms. They even have a cotton candy vending machine.
It was very hot in the theater during the 320pm lion king theater 6 on July 20th .. it was a great movie !!
Best theater seats in town! Kick back and enjoy and then the mall...or the other way around.
Tickets are overpriced. Such a ripoff. CONVIENINCE FEE! why is there a convince fee.
Love going here again since they installed reclining seats
The movie was great! Low energy employees and a broken light on the floor in front of the concession stand.
Great seats very comfortable wonderful experience all around
Went to see amazing Spiderman 2 in 3D. There was so much ghosting on the screen that I developed a migraine and threw up in my car before getting home. I see 3D movies all the time and have never had a problem. This system was so badly set up i couldn't even watch the whole thing.
To top it off, I asked for a refund and the guy laughed before going into some spiel about 3D being like that. I just walked out. So. Mad.
I'd rather drive across town to winrock. Their seating is better anyways.
It's a little older than other theatres but they have done upgrades to the actual theatres themselves. Great reclining chairs.
Updated seats are wonderful. Reclining and in great shape
Really-30 min to get overpriced popcorn-made me late for the start of movie-disappointed with level of service. Previous week movie did not go off as scheduled because of equipment failure. Is anybody managing.
Expensive, but reclining seats were worth the money.
Pretty basic theater, you have to repeat your order to the Millennials about four times when ordering popcorn and soda
The renovated seating is awesome. You cannot upright or recline. However, the best part is, is that there is enough space in between the seating, so that getting kicked isn't a problem any more.
The managers there we excellent. Highly recommend this theater
The theater isn't bad, but the screens are tiny. It's like watching a movie on an oversized TV. They need an RPX or IMAX screen to make it worthwhile.
Haven't watched a movie here in a while. The seats can use a little more comfort, however the screen is bright and clear and the sound is precise and mixed well in the theater. Also, their concession stand is good.
Comfy reclining seats and a nice snack bar selection. Nice way to watch a good movie on an otherwise quiet evening.
The theater itself and each of the auditoriums are really nice. I especially like the recliners that they installed. No more problems with seeing the screen. However, the bathrooms are really in need of a remodel. Something seems to be broken every time I'm there.
