Wasted 3 days trying to get accommodation, they failed to ring us back 3 times. I've since found out that they lied about the university taking control of the house I had been looking into. Terrible service and im back to square one.

Moved in September - nice big room close to uni. fast wifi, made some great friends here, they matched me well with current house mates. Staff where helpful even picked me up from the station. I would recommend them to anyone especially if you are international - they look after you

Attached is a photo of my Hull Stars review for Unicom. It's a well known fact that EVERY student in Hull absolutely hates Unicom because they're a fraud, have severe rat and mould problems in their houses and their rent price is absolutely ridiculous. If you want to actually live in a safe environment at University, AVOID UNICOM AT ALL COSTS. If you don't believe me, look at the amount of likes my second photo got on Overheard at Hull. Everyone knows it, these positive reviews were obviously people who got paid off by them lool

The landlords have been great!
All the issues I ve had or any problems I ve had in the house has be resolved very quickly. The house is in a great location and the interior is very nice. Would definitely recommend it to a friend

Hugely regretting signing a contract with these landlords . The quality of the house is poor - but we knew that before signing. However, what we didn t know was that hardly anything would work and needed fixing as soon as we turned up (broken doors, microwave, radiators, showers, sinks). The fridges then stopped working and needed replacing as the food had gone mouldy - they were incredibly slow to rectify this and didn t seem to care. The hot water currently doesn t work and they don t seem to be making any effort to fix it (despite the fact it s exam season). In summary their customer service is awful, as long as you ve signed a contract to live with then they don t care about your experience. Perhaps they should care more about that and less about constantly snorting cocaine in the office. Don t sign with Unicom.

Lived with unicom while I was at uni. Had absolutely no issues. All the staff are very friendly and and niggles with appliances were fixed quickly and well. If there are any issues It is easy to contact them. Their rates are good and they have a great range of houses

During summer HUNDREDS of ants coming from break in the kitchen wall. when complained all that was done was the wall being re patched and white powder thrown everywhere (making the kitchen a mess and uncomfortable to use)
complaints take VERY long time to be responded to, sometimes being ignored when calling or emailing (but very quick to ask for payment)

Very good price for a 7 person house and fixed any small problems we had quickly. We ve signed for the same house again next year. Would recommend to my friends too.

I am currently in a house with Unicom which has all en suites. Gorgeous house and we have signed again for next year. We had an issue when we moved in with the boiler and this was rectified same day, they even gave us some Piper VIP passes as an apology. The staff are friendly and nothing is too much trouble. We have had many issues this year with some of our housemates dropping out and they have helped us immensely in dealing with this. I would defo recommend them.

Fast repairs, nice sized rooms, good value for price. Would definitely rent again! Perfect accomodation for all students.

I have been with Unicom a year now and have just resigned for my 2nd year they have been amazing and so helpful I would highly reccomend them to anyone who is looking for student accommodation!

As a mature student I was in need of a quality abode in Hull, much like a good mature cheese craves for the correct conditions to be stored in to ensure its longevity and distinct flavour.
I happened across Unicom much by chance whilst visiting a local sandwich shop opposite. I popped in and spoke to a nice young man who introduced himself as Simon. I was pretty sure I d seen him on Grindr before but he repeatedly assured me that gentlemen often stole his photo and it was an unfortunate downside of being so attractive. In fact, he told me this eight time in the space of as many minutes.
The property I chose is right on the doorstep of the university, minimising my on foot commute, which is ideal as I do like an extra slice of toast of a morning.
Impeccable in both decoration and presentation I was more than pleased with the accommodation. The recently refurbished driveway outside is perfect and provides excellent and secure storage for my weekend Segway.
Highly recommend; the company and accommodation are also excellent

Unicom staff were very helpful when choosing a home. Have been able to find a nice sized house for 5 people at a good price. Have met all our requirements including fast wifi, double beds and gone beyond with a smart tv, Tesco voucher cards and VIP passes to Piper. Would recommend to any other students looking for a nice place that's very close to the university.

Lived with them for 2 years in 2 x 4 bed houses @ Chesnut Ave and Ryde Street- We had issues/repairs but to be fair to them they always came round and resolved it. A lot of the houses are cheaper as they are slightly older but it depends what you want and what budget you have. Overall would recommend them.

They are very disorganised. When we went to get the keys, they said everything is okay on the phone then said no someone hasn t paid on the same day when we arrived in Hull.

They charged all of us rent because someone left the house early and said the guarantor didn t respond, so I guess all you have to do is ignore them to get out of rent. They still email us about views on our house even though we moved out last year. And of course, they are lax with repairs, leaky ceilings and you can t control the heating, it s controlled by them. I m glad I left and I am never coming back.

The vast majority of properties are in disrepair/decay. Same applies to the customer service...

We moved into our 5-bedroom house on Walgrave Street in September with no complaints. The staff at Unicom were really helpful and showed us around 4 properties meeting our specific requirements before finding our ideal house on Walgrave Street! Super close to the university, modern kitchen, fast Wi-Fi, all double beds, large smart TV and Unicom even added a Tesco gift voucher and VIP pass to the club Piper. Definitely would recommend to any other students.

Boyfriend Placed in temporary accommodation for 2 months as the room he's suppose to be in has a lodger , the house temporarily placed in is disgraceful

The staff at Unicom property are very helpful and polite when dealing with problems my self and my house mates had. We recently had a leak and someone was there within the hour to repair it. Any further problems we have had it has always been sorted on the day reported.

Great quality with good prices, had a maintenance issue which was sorted quickly also.

Was very happy with Unicom for my final year at the university. The bedroom/house was fully furnished and ready for us when we got there. My self and my housemates haven't had any faults and would 100% recommend to any students thinking of housing with Unicom property!

They're polite and friendly but it doesn't go anything further besides that. They're incompetence to provide the minimal requirements is ridiculous. We've had issues this year regarding our appliances shower, fridge and freezers, rodents (mice were in the house when we originally arrived) and most frustrating terrible internet.

The shower has broken down numerous times and left tenants without access for upwards of three days.

The freezers and fridges overheat and leak, multiple times the food as unfortunately gone by it's due date.

Mice were found in the downstairs bedroom, it took a few days to remove them.

The internet - For someone who uses the internet in excess of 4 hours on a daily basis I've had to avoid specific activities as the internet would simply increase to 1000+ ping and drop below 1 mb/s download speeds; even when nobody is downloading. While at University I compete in a esports league and have been unable to play alongside my team mates in numerous games preventing bare minimum gaming.

For myself Internet was the main priority when choosing accomodation and if you have similar interests stay far away from Unicom. I strongly wouldn't recommend, stay far away from Unicom; or you'll regret it.

My self and the lads have been with Unicom for the last 2 years and have just resigned for next acc too. Staff are very nice and cant do enough for you. Repairs are great, we have had a couple over the period of being in this house and they have been fixed on the day reported.
