A must see if you are vacationing in London. They give daily tours inside and in the Engine Room below ground. Not a long excursion. You can probably see everything in an hour or two, but it's a quintessential landmark to appreciate.

A must see in London and near to several other sights. Make sure to get a guided tour of the estate to make the most of it and visit early to have pleasant experience it gets very crowded elsewise.

Stay clear of the cafe as the prices are very steep and not worth it considering the quality.

Visited Paris and London during our honeymoon, and this was definitely my favorite part. Amazing tour by the yeoman who guided us, Matt Prime. Make sure you do the yeoman guided tour of you do visit.

I'm just going to contectualise this by saying I love the medieval history of London so I'm probably a little biased, but the whole Tower of London experience was awesome!
We went on a beautiful sunny afternoon and managed to sneak in just as one of the Beef Eaters (the guide/guard) named Spike was starting the tour. The guided tour lasted about 30 mins and went into the history both the buildings themselves and the happenings within the buildings during the first half of the second century. Spike was a fantastic speaker and we learnt a lot!
After that we spent a good few hours having a look at all the other parts of the tower; the Crown Jewels and history of the monarchy, armory (weapons and armor from the year 1000 to now), the history of the soldiers themselves during the multiple wars fought in and by London (again between 1000-now) and simply taking in the views and reveling in the knowledge that everything around us was pretty much the same as it was 1000 years ago.
It's a little pricey as far as tours go but I'd highly recommend putting aside a few hours and seeing it!

The last time I walked through these gates was in a Naval Platoon in 2013, conducting military ceremonies. So visiting as a civilian was a very much different aspect. The Tower of London, sits at a pinnacle of majesty and embedding of British History. Without spoiling it, I recommend if you have a long holiday in London. Pay a visit to the Tower and step back in time. The only one main issue I have for this visit is the price as its not a cheap visit. So, make sure you bring plenty of money. Overall, a enjoyable and enriching visit.

On the outside it looks very impressive. You can walk around it to get the feel for it. The bridge looks better than on a postcard. You can get some nice selfies when you are on the opposite side. It also easier to appreciate the size of the bridge and the tower of London

A load of history about the monarchy of england.
In addition to visiting all the tower and seeing their history, I also went and visited the Crown Jewels.

It was very cool to see and all the jewels are quite jaw dropping.

Would recommend visiting!

Another must when you visit London. If you want to go inside the tower go early to avoid queues or simply walk around and enjoy the sights from the outside. There's enough to see and do anytime.

A small slice of London history - rich in cultural practices and a definite must-visit for everyone who steps foot in London city.

Whether you are a tourist visiting from abroad or a local Londoner that has never been, you will certainly learn a lot about the rich history within the walls of this thousand year old fortress.

The Crown Jewels alone are a good enough reason to visit but the best reason to visit would be the wonderful yeomen; the beefeaters are certainly a wonderful bunch of human beings - an amazing day out for the whole family.

Enjoyed the tour! Make sure to avail the guided tour by the yeoman guard! Last one is 2:30pm. Best to enter early so you can still roam around after seeing the crown jewels, which is not in the main tower. The Main tower is a separate museum altogether with a dragon on the topmost floor and it's own souvenir shop at the basement.

This place is a must visit if you're in London. The tickets are costly though but you can get good deals online. If you're interested to see crown jewels and coins, this is the place to go.

One of my favourite tourist attractions in London. Don't miss out on the Beef Eaters Tour. Allow at least 3-4 hours to fully explore The Tower of London. Crown Jewels can be viewed. Good views of London from the walls around the Tower. Eligible for the 2 for 1 national rail promotion.

Very crowded but a must-see for sure. If you come during the day especially during the summer or another holiday, expect it to be packed with tourists. As such, I wouldn't recommend making many purchases, as everything is overpriced.
Definitely take a tour with the yeomen, they are hilarious. The Crown Jewels exhibit is stunning and while the line may look intimidating at times, it moves quickly.

It was going swimmingly for me, until (through my own fault) I tripped. Banged my face off an 800 year old stone bench and broke my front tooth. A Beefeater was very helpful in giving me a plaster from a first aid kit, because there didn't seem to be any medical facilities for public visitors. Suppose I'm not the first Irishman to go into the Tower of London, and come out bruised and bloody.

Also, I totally loved the Ravens.

Go alone, go with the family, or take a school party! Each time you'll get something different from this important, historic castle. Having on this occasion taken a school party I can report that the workshops are accessible and the pupils picked up some of the character of events over the ages.

Being there for yourself is overwhelming. Consider the conversations, decisions and events which have occurred. Plus the buildings are pretty impressive too.

It's not the cheapest attraction in London but pick your time and you could get the place pretty much to yourself.

Oh wow! Wonderful historical site. Please take the time to tour with the Beefeaters. They are a invaluable fount of knowledge, humor, and cultural insight. The tower is famous for the crown jewels but the grounds and the interest points are priceless as well. And don't forget the get the best fish and chips in London while there.

The best attraction in London! Such a rich history and so much to see within it. We spent 5 hours here and could have easily stayed longer. Go early see the crown jewels first then do the Beefeater tour which is very insightful. Head to the white tower and then your times your own to do the rest. You will not be disappointed!

I loved my experience at the Tower of London so much I went twice! Staff are amazing, Yeoman Warders are very approachable and give fantastic tours. Plan to spend an entire day here I'd say, so rich in history!

With a group on an evening tour with Dave, one of the Yeoman warders. Lots of history and info. Dave had a great sense humour and made the tour really interesting. Witnessed the 'Ceremony of the Keys'. Worth the visit and would recommend it to others

One of my favorite London attractions. Well worth the price. I could spend hours just in the armory. Take the Yeoman Warder tour. Informative and I think one of the only ways to see the Chapel Royal unless you go to a mass. Anne Boleyn, Katherine Howard, and Jane Grey's graves are there. After the tour walk the walls and towers on your own. There is some amazing prisoner graffiti in some of towers. If you see a souvenir you like in one of the many gift shops buy it, it's likely more expensive outside. Take a camera, so many great picture, even before you get inside. The only place you can't take pictures is in Jewel house and in one of the towers they have replica Jewels. For some strange reason they don't want you taking pictures of them either, I found out the hard way.

Everything you'd expect and so much more. The Warden tour was a blast but not so much for the American's who missed most of the jokes or realized most of then were at their expense. We laughed so hard. Zoo experience was a treat. Go early and avoid the crowds - especially the bus loads of tourists that just don't care or pay attention.

A bit of something for everyone. The crown jewels, executions, prisoners, ravens, beefeaters, armory, uprisings, wild animal menagerie and maybe even a little haunting, all at the tower of London. There is so much to do here you can spend a whole day here. It also looks like its very own enclosed village.

The tower of london is a great place to visit and i recommend doing the Beefeater tour. There is one issue though, included in the admissions is voluntary donation, which is not always made clear especially if english is not your first language. Its not a lot unless your on tight budget or paying for a large group. I brought my ticket at the tower, the website booking might be clearer.

We had a fun day out here. The yeoman s tour was funny and we found it all very interesting. Also fascinating is that people live there. We thought looking at the Crown Jewels was the most boring part and you have to queue for ages to see them

Hadn't been for years, glad I went back with the family. Excellent day trip to London to see the Tower. Lots to see and do. Had a great tour given by Clive the Yeoman. Highlight was seeing the ravens and the crown jewels.

So much history to explore. i enjoyed the audio tour but so much is not included in it. expect to climb a lot of steps. Did not allocate enough time for audio and beefeater tour and so missed beefeater and really regret it. crown jewels line was too long for us.

A part of British history... a guided tour from a yeoman (or woman) is a must (every 30 mins). The Tower has history tied together with the Abbey, so try seeing them on the same day so you can learn about the connection between them. Also, Tower Bridge is right next door.

I'm not easily impressed by jewelry, but the Crown Jewel are really impressive. The other attractions were less interesting for me (apart from white tower that includes exhibition of weaponry and shows how the king lived a long time ago). I was going around by myself, but I think it's a good idea to attend a tour by a Beefeater, it sounded very interesting and funny when I run into it a few times. I bought a ticket online and printed it at a counter for group tickets with no queue at all. The lion sculpture attached is my favorite.

Highly recommend this pageant of history. Guided tours excellent. But it is laid out and explained well enough to discover on your own. We were fascinated with the castle s evolution from William s first wall to present state. Crown Jewels alone are worth the price of admit. Wonderful views of modern London from Middle Ages windows. I would say allow 2 hrs to see it. More if you re prone to becoming absorbed in the history
