Terribly crowded place on a sunday. Of course a historic site for London, but with not much extra to see on the inside if you have already feasted your eyes on the outside (except mabe the crown jewels), not worth entering. The view from across the river is beautiful! (Plz like it if you like it)

Such a wonderful experience. I was fortunate to watch the ceremony of the keys, a ceremony with over 700 years of history. The Tower of London and grounds are simply stunning. The views from inside are exceptional, the old with new. Our tour guide was a delight. Cannot recommend this enough.

Really good, you can really spend a day here (if you haven't got moaning kids with you :)). Fun for all the family, scenic and you get a good walk. I really liked the dragon sculpture in the white castle. We didn't see the crown jewels because the queue was so long but my 10 year old weren't too bothered and I saw them as a child. The ravens are huge and were probably my son's highlight.

Book tickets online so you don't have to wait in lines. Don't get the audio guide, it's just not organized very well not does it tell a connected story. By far the best thing to do is take the yoeman's (beefeater) tour which starts right by the entrance. Very entertaining, very insightful and full of interesting and entertaining stories. I had hoped that the castle itself would have more inside of interest but the yoeman's tour told enough about the tower. Queens jewels, the chapel as well as the history of how the tower was built over time are all worth the price of admission.

Probably the best attraction in London.

Probably the best attraction in London.
A fortress with more than 700 years old, declared world heritage by UNESCO, and if you buy the tickets you get to see the towers from the inside, the royal jewels and the royal armories which are quite amazing

A must see in London with things for everyone to see from the iconic guards to the Crown jewels to medieval weaponry and royal history and of course the ravens. Lots of walking and stairs involved, but there are lots of refreshment points and seating areas. Needs a lot of time, at least 3-4 hours for a good look at everything

Attended on the recommendation from a good friend.
He said we must attend one of the Yeoman guided tours.
He was not wrong? The tour was great funny and informative.
We were given a rare insight into the life of a Yeoman (Beefeater)
Who are not tour guides but ceremonial guards for the queen.
We were told many gruesome stories all of which are true And got to spend some time within the chapel.
I would highly recommend that anybody attends try and get onto a tour.

Afterwards we were able to view the crown jewellery and the collection of other priceless items. And tour around the facility. We planned on only spending an hour here but ended up spending all day here.
We plan to return to see the lighting display that is currently setup.

Love visiting the tower every few years with the kids. Only real downside is the crowds, the beefeater tours just aren't manageable because such a large number of people join them. The crowds on staircases and the walks are also off-putting. However there is room to spread out in the grounds. My children have all enjoyed visiting the tower of London.

So amazing that these towers are standing after so many years!! A great variety of exhibits and things to see, with great information offered by the beefeaters. We spent a couple hours here and enjoyed very much-- would definitely recommend!

It s been years since I went to the Tower of London and my it was my friends first trip.

We didn t do a guided tour this time but there s no extra charge to be shown round and provided all the amazing history that has formed our country over the years.

I really enjoyed the Tower of London. We bought the London Pass, and we were among the first ones on the line, when it opened. I really suggest you to go early, because the line to see the crown jewels really gets big quite fast. We were able to enter as soon as we got there, but while visiting the rest of the tower, we saw the line getting really big and the waiting time to be like 3 hours, which is a big waste of time.

I liked the views and to walk on its walls, but I did not like the white tower or the aviation museum a lot.

Amazing place steeped in history, yes you can see the crown jewels. The old prisoner cells were interesting, you could see the dates when prisoners were there scratched on the wall.
Don't forget to see the famous tower ravens. Great tour, we would highly recommend this.

I have visited the Tower of London and, as I'm studying English history, it was really surprising to see the place where one of the most important facts of this city came true.
The Tower of London used to be the jail/prison for the "rich/ristocracy" people from the town, but also the place where the kings and queens came in to defend themselves and protect their children due to the big and large walls surrounding the tower and castle.
Believe me, you will absolutely enjoy the experience of being there!

Great day out, the beefeater tour was really fun and had some great information. Some of the exhibits are a bit dry if you're not really into armour and guns. The place itself is such an amazing piece of history in such good condition. If you come by train get a 241 voucher.

Very impressive complex, especially with the modern skyline all around it. The architecture is beautiful, and it s pretty amazing it s still standing after a thousand years. There are some really odd parts the crown jewels are bizarre to me as an American, and the stories about prisoners are interesting but sad. On the whole it s one of the most memorable things I did in London.

The unmissable Tower of London, a castle of 22 towers offers a window into a ghastly and gripping history. A former royal residence, treasury, mint, armoury and zoo, it's perhaps now most remembered as the prison where a king, three queens and many nobles met their deaths. Come here to see the colourful Yeoman Warders (or Beefeaters), the spectacular Crown Jewels, the soothsaying ravens and armour fit for a very large king.

History of a thousand years, beautifully maintained, must visit in London and spend some time. Additional attractions include The Crown Juels, The White Tower, The torture Tower and The Ravens. Listen to the Yeoman Warders Guided tour for the traditional English Humour.

Not my first visit and certainly worth going inside. The Yeoman tours are entertaining and worth doing to get the history and perspective of the place. Crown Jewels a highlight as are the Ravens. Get there early and rxpoto spend a full morning there.

It's a lively and lovely place. Very touristy. The que to see the crown jewels was so long, that we decided to skip it. But it was still a lot of fun esp. As the Yeomen Warders give you a tour with an amazing sense of humour.

By the way... not to be missed are the members of the royal armed forces standing in front of some of the gates, refusing to let their eyes blink, even while directly staring at the Sun! Super human, I'd say.

My my my, what a great tour with guide. Funny and very enjoyable despite the grim history of this place. People have literally lost their heads here, lol. Walk through of the crown jewels display and the tower itself is worth it. Can't imagine these structures have withstood time since 1000 years ago.

We done a guided tour and the tour guide was lovely, he made jokes and was very good at giving out information he was highly entertaining and would recommend everyone to do a tour. The crowned jewels were extremely interesting and exciting to see a shame your not allowed to take pictures anymore in this particular section, the guards were very interesting and was exciting seeing them do drills when there. The scenery was beautiful, the tower was interesting g and there was a lot to see in do in each building.

There is so much to see here! I kept thinking I had seen enough then caught sight of another building and just had to go in and look. The medieval parts are perhaps less "famous" than the Bloody Tower and the Tudor graffiti but actually I found them more interesting and informative.
Don't be discouraged by the queue for the Crown Jewels, it moves quickly and you can look at the actual jewels for a lot longer than you can stand in front of the Mona Lisa.

Quite an interesting place, make sure to book your tickets online and reach early to cover the interesting aspects of castle. There was a big queue for crown jewels, it's better you visit this very last so that you dont out of other things as you will end up wasting your time in queue. Pack your food as restaurant looked quite pricey for a tourist like me.

The inside exhibition tour was definitely worth the it. Make sure you don't skip the engine room because that was awesome. Just know that if you take the stairs instead of the elevator it is over 12 flights.

Was a great way to spend the sunday with the wife and mother in law.. plenty to see and reenactments going on throught the castle and the grounds.. the food market was on as well so that added more to what we was already going to see. I recommend it to children as well as there is alot of things for them to try out.

The most important monument of London! Plan to reach as it opens and go straight to the Crown Jewel Museum avoiding the queue. Don t miss the actors! Follow them around the castle. Reserve the whole morning for the visit there are small museums inside the complex. Follow the Yeoman and check the ravens!

My own fault for not planning enough time for this. The first part of the audio tour was interesting and there were some wonderful picture opportunities. Only complaint is that the audio guide costs on top of the London pass.

Amazing place! It is a must in London! It is much more than only the Crown jewels. It is history, weapons, items of clothing from different ages, cannons, armours, and the gorgeous guardians of the Tower...Game of Thrones is ok...this is real!

An essential trip if you're in London. A place that sits at the heart of English history. This is an extensive castle complex with towers dating back to 1066. You have to be able to go up and down a lot of steps. We didn't get to see the crown jewels as the line was quite long but saw many fantastic exhibitions highlighting the history and myths around the tower.

Best place ever in London if you like the History of London. If you go get an audio guide, you will enjoy even more with all the explanations. Go with enough time to visit everything with no rush. For me, amazing and I will go back for sure.
