Quite impressive castle, with off course very beau...
Quite impressive castle, with off course very beautiful jewelry. Great armory.

Gorgeous and rich in history. If you need assistance with accessibility, make sure to visit the welcome center to the left before going through tickets. They make it easy for people with mobility issues to see as much as they can at the Tower including helping with the long lines at the crown jewels which can be hard for someone with mobility needs. Do make sure to go early and visit the crown jewels first!
I come here about every 10 years. I learn something new every time. I love the history and majesty of this place. It is crowded, so go see the crown jewels as early as possible in the day....especially if it is hot, because the line is outside in the yard. You can walk along the top of the wall and have great views both inside and out. The beafeater tours are interesting and entertaining. Definitely need the whole day because there is so much to do.
Wonderful view of many historical artifacts or things I've only read about or seen in movies or TV. If you're able to, take a tour from a Yeoman Warder! Best way to learn about the Tower's history. Andy was our guide today and I really learnt a lot!
We had amazing time as a family of 5
History was very interesting
Seeing the crowns jewels were so beautiful & detailed
Take the tour, it s worth it. There are a few flights to climb, but not continuous. Wear good shoes!
The history is impressive - and quite violent. Our tour guide was a former Naval officer and actually lives on the premises - plus he was hilariously funny. Do NOT take pictures in the chapel - it infuriates them if you break the rules.
Wonderful piece of history! Well maintained and presented. Must do the Yeoman Warder guided tour! Our Yeoman Warder guide was FANTASTIC ! So knowledgeable and quite a character who made the tour even more fun. So many must see things to see.
Great icon of London. history in the bucket fulls and the crown jewels oooh my Lord it amazed me lol
Expensive and long queues. Not very organised getting in after you've bought your very expensive ticket.
Big! Beautiful! The jewels are stunning! Restrooms are convenient. Be aware that there are a lot of stairs! We loved seeing it!
Good day out. Enjoyed the history and the tour by Beefeater John. He was very entertaining and very knowledgeable. One day is not enough to see it all. So we are going to visit again.
Fantastic and amazing historic. Place to visit. A must see place if you're in London for more than a day
Great place but if you want to visit the Crown Jewels you will have to stand in a long queue
Fantastic day in the tower of London. Fascinating history - Yeoman warders were incredible. Pricey but well worth it. Leave yourself plenty of time. Restaurant is expensive but excellent quality.
We didn't take the tour but walked around the out of the castle, stunning!
Clean and free from tourists, saw the crown jewels 4 times
There is so much history in this place it's hard to relay the scope of it with just mere words. The displays were very informative and spread out enough that it never seemed too crowded. The staff was incredible! So friendly, funny and helpful. A must see.
Amazing!!! Lovely, filled with history, both old and new, and absolutely worth the visit!
Especially the guided tour was impressive. Very clear explanation with a nice touch of humor. The 'loud' voice of the Beefeater was pleasant to listen to.
The Tower of London is an experience well-deserving of at least 2 hours, but if you can devote more time there, definitely do. The most valuable part was the yeoman tour. Our guide was hilarious, while also extremely knowledgeable, and adds much more depth to your visit. Most towers (because there are actually 22!) are open to the public, and have something you can experience or learn about. The White Tower (which is the primary and largest tower) sports military history. You can also visit the Crown Jewels, which are gorgeous and have been used for any number of royal functions for hundreds of years. Overall, this is a must-see in London.
This place is big and lot of places to explore. The crown jewels and white tower were worth seeing. Also, spotted a Raven up close which was nice. The guide was very informative, I would definitely recommend this if you have some hours to spare.
It is in the top tier of sights to visit even if you only have a few days for a visit to London. Check out the famous diamonds , the ravens that are not shy at all, and make sure not to miss the white tower.
Amazing attraction for those who love History. It's a bit expensive, but it worth it!
The crown jewels are beautiful cant take any pictures though, long long queues to see them. Its no wonder she has so much money when its 75 pound sterling for a family of 4 to enter .... book ahead on line
Excellent experience! The Queen's jewels were spectacular.
I just wanted to mention that the cafeteria inside the Tower grounds was surprisingly good---like, really good. It's still a busy cafeteria, but the food was excellent and not too pricey. Considering those two things, this would be a place I would seek out even if it weren't within the Tower grounds.
Top notch! A must see on any London trip. The entry fee is pretty standard, but there is plenty to see here. Gotta see those crown jewels!
One of the main landmarks of London. As always beautiful, a must visit!
I learned so much about the history of the tower and the sites to see are breathtaking. Deff a London go to
First time I have been and I would definitely go again. Such a great experience the tour you must do its every 30 minutes the Beefeaters are full of knowledge. The white castle and jewel house I really enjoyed. The coffee shop haa good selection of food.
London tower is a pretty cool place it feels like you are stepping back into the past.
You can see the crown jewels, get in as early as possible to avoid an insane queue. There is a bunch of videos you can watch along the way, skip them of you can they are only there to slow you down when there is a huge queue.
The castle in the middle has suit's of armor, weponary old and and new as well as interactive displays. Some of the toilet are display to show how it would have been to live in the castle.
There is a good gift shop the the bastment of the castle.
It is worth walking the walls just to get the scale of the buildings and to see how tight the stairwells were back then.
There is a torture chamber but it isn't huge, you can also see where people were locked up and see the graffiti they left during there incuceration.
Expect to stay a few hours there is a lot to see
One of the best places in London to visit but GET THERE EARLY as the crowds can be big.
Fantastic historical buildings. Helpful staff and friendly ravens
Somewhat more expensive but worth the visit, such an incredible piece of history, really a moment of just imagining what these walls have all seen and survived, the place is incredible. As I was visiting London from the USA I had the time to visit on a weekday and the crowds really weren't so bad, I'm sure it could be very crowded on the weekends as others have noted.
Worth every penny and every minute spent here. Truly an amazing experience.
It was a good experience and I really loved the place. If you visit the place, I strongly suggest you take warden guided tour. We had warden Dave as a guide and we totally enjoyed his mix of jokes and stories filled with blood and gore, which was the perfect combo, considering the place.
As a lover of British history, this was a must visit on a recent trip. I highly suggest setting aside at least 3+ hours for all the exhibits within. The audio tour was great though I admit, it would be better if you could plug in headphones into the device. It was a little awkward having to hold the audio device up to my ear while also trying to take pictures. Be sure to mind the beautiful Ravens that call the Tower home!
IF YOU ARE OBSESSED WITH HISTORY YOU WILL LOVE THIS! Some very significant pieces are held here and I think you already know you want to go. To everyone else this is really expensive, lines are long and if you aren't in awe of being in the presence of the crown jewels then avoid.
What would London be without its Tower? As soon as you walk through the main entrance, history oozes out from the surrounding walls. It's surprisingly easy to navigate around, as it's both well signposted and possible to follow a logical route. If you go early enough it shouldn't be too busy, but during peak tourist season it's likely that you'll need to queue for the jewels. It's a wonderful place to visit, and guarantees to remove you from contemporary London and transport you back in time for as long as you remain within the surrounding walls.
The Tower is a historical place & a must see in London. It didn't disappoint.
My friends received homophobic and transphobic abuse during their visit - and your staff did nothing to support or protect them or to discourage the other visitors from being nasty. Where is your duty of care? SHAMEFUL
Great day out. Cannot stress enough how important getting there early is. We were in an out of the Crown Jewels within an hour. A while later the queue to get into the main door was two hours long! Was fortunate enough to be there for the Anne Boleyn live play which was thoroughly enjoyable.
I'm almost never negative in review. But what a total ripoff! 30 quid to see the Tower. 75 to go see it with two adults and 2 age 5+kids.
Well, how things have changed! Used to be, you could visit the Tower grounds without having to see the crown jewels. It was worth the trip to go see the Tower though. But never ever will I pay that amount of money for so little.
Also the surrounding has changed completely. With old gorgeous buildings being overshadowed by glass and metal monstrosities! And that's without the total antisocial tourists hanging about. Almost running over said kids, giving us a mouthful. No good this!
An incredible, iconic London attraction. I visited in Mid-November. This was a great time to visit because it wasn't terribly cold and it wasn't crowded at all. Be sure to take a tour from the Yeoman Warders, you will learn a lot and they are great storytellers. From dungeons to medieval graffiti to the crown jewels, this was a very cool place to see!
Always busy as usual but nice to see around in nice shiny day !
Maybe the most extraordinary monument we encountered in our visit to London.A palace ,a tower and a prison .
Although the line looked long to the crown jewels it kept moving a pace.
Joined the beefeater you- very good!!!!
We couldn't do some things as we can't do spiral staircases.
Took our packed lunch in - recommend!!!
Staff were fantastic
Tower of London was awesome. Don't bother with the audio guides.
I very much enjoyed my visit here despite the holiday crowds (which seemed to increase during the day). It is one of the prime and most famous landmarks in London so do expect queues.
The displays in the White Tower and the Crown Jewels are worth seeing and you get some really good views of the Thames riverside as well
DOD an evening tour and di e after the gates were closed. Intimate and great fun. Well worth doing for a work or social function
I loved the tour! Definitely take it! And don't be intimidated by lines- they move a lot faster than you'd expect!
What a great way to spend some time looking into the past of london! You can spend as much or as little time as you want here. You could definitely spend a whole day if all the exhibits are open. If you want to take full advantage, get the audio guide as there are several tours to do with it. If you are limited on your time and can only do a few exhibits, I recommend forgoing the audio and heading to some of the more popular exhibits like the crown jewels and the white tower. These both change so they don't have much audio, but take some time to go through. The white tower is fairly large, but worth going through. It houses all the armour and some other very cool items. If you have the full day, be sure to hit up a beefeater tour as well! We just did a short day, but it worked well as we walked the tower bridge after and checked out some other sights. A must do for a visit to London!
It's got the history -- and the pricing to match. Iconic, interesting, but not the cheapest place for tea if ya know what I mean.
This is the most iconic building in London. It is a must see for an visitor. The history is best understood by taking one of the free (comes with your admission) Yeoman Warder tours. Entertaining and informative. Also, the British crown jewels are on display. The White Tower contains a museum that is wonderful. Full service cafeteria and clean toikets can be found. Do this
A must see while in London. Go on a guided tour.... hilarious!!!
It's a must to see when visiting London. It's lovely passing through it via a bus and/or a river cruise. We did both. I found it rather top crowded to walk through and explore.
Very cool and so much to learn! My whole family enjoyed our visit. We could have stayed a whole day. Tons of history and intriguing facts. Great use of modern technology I keep the kids excited! We definitely will be back to learn more. We loved the ravens too! The Crown Jewels were beautiful!
One of the top attractions in London. My best advice is go early. We got there before it opened and the line was around 2 sides of the building. It went fast once it opened because it can hold so many people. We went straight to the crown jewels and had no line to get in. By the time we got out of the building with the jewels, there was an hour wait to see them. The line is in the sun so plan for that on a hot day. The entire fortress is neat, but the primary attraction is definitely the jewels.
Family day trip ice skating. Great time had by all. Staff on the ice super helpful with everyone skating. Beautiful setting with fantastic views!!
Famous Tower looks much more bright and positive than picture history paints around its dungeons and rooms. Torture chambers a tiny and don t show a fraction of what should ve been employed there at the height of it s power. Crown Jewels are definitely worth visiting for.
I really loved our visit to the tower and the cherry on the top was seeing the crown jewels which are truly breath taking. As you can imagine they are in a very secure area and you get to see them by standing on a moving walk way and seeing them in their cases. The walk way is quite small but you can go around on it as many times as you like. It's also really cool to see the ravens who are dotted around the grounds with the beefeaters. There is lots to do other than just see the crown jewels and its really kid friendly. Highly recommened.
Supervising the Tower shoot of the Worshipful Company of Bowyers and Fletchers in the moat!
Proud to be British. Steeped in history. Let us not forget.
Fantastic tourist spot would recommend the yeoman tour and line up early for the crown jewels
Excellent guided tour from a yeoman warder ("Beefeater") included in, admittedly high, admission price. The crown jewels are stunning but there are so many other wonderful things to see as well, including the wonderful Norman chapel in the white tower.
Wow where to begin. It's an amazing walk through hundreds if years of history. Kings, queens, spies, and traitors! My favorite thing to see is the carvings in the wall that prisoners did while they were locked up. The cafeteria is decent too, but I'd try to eat before going.
Crown jewels Bloody tower White tower Lots to see Ideal for kids inc.2 views from Tower
Still a fantastic place to go even if its not fully open at the moment for obvious reasons. A great day out and cant wait for it to be fully open again
We only had the opportunity to walk around the outside, but even that is very impressive! We will be back!!!
Place where Diamond kohinoor you can see exactly next to London Bridge here you can take boat ride from themes river
Buy tickets online even when your outside to save on family ticket. Kids really enjoyed loads to see and do. A good 3 to 4 hours and some great views of London.
What to say? Probably one of the most iconic tourist attractions in London and it is a must see while in town. I highly recommend waiting for and doing the Yeoman Warder Tour. The Yeomen Warders are very knowledgeable and entertaining. I can see how this would be very crowded and almost unbearable during the summer tourist season, but again, it is a must see while in London.
Definitely a place you shouldn't miss if you visit London
Well taken care of! Spent a few hours there, but still didnt see it all. Breath taking sites and history.
Superb historical site, lots of different areas with themes and plenty of signs explaining all.
Cafe decent, coffee and cakes for us, kept us going on a day of being stood up lots.
Crown jewels were well displayed, a long queue but it moved quickly.
Fabulous day.
The castle-like tower has lots of things to see and do, with beautiful and well preserved architecture. Unfortunately, I went in 1 hour before closing time, so couldn't get to explore half of it, or go up the tower... It seems it is worth spending at least a whole morning or afternoon visiting the place.
Very interesting place to visit. Loaded with history and intrigue. It was more than I expected. A bit pricey to enter in the line was quite long, but it was worth it. It was beautiful to see all of the Armory and jewelry. Be prepared to spend at least 3 to 4 hours to fully enjoy this location.
There are a lot of stairs and a lot of walking. So wear comfortable shoes. Not very accessible to those who are wheelchair bound or handicapped.
It was a great experience to be on top of the tower bridge. There is class like bridge on top we can walk on it and have a great view of the ships boats and vehicles which moves underneath. This is one of the most viewing place in london. U can actually have a view of the bridge from outside. And on pertucular time of the day the bridge will lift itself by operators for the big boats/ships to pass through the river. Timing and everything is available in the website.
It's a London icon - what's not to like. Obviously busy most of the time and you can walk round the outside of you do not want to go in.
Crown jewels amazing. A few exhibits closed. The place is smaller than I imagined
