Excellent, lot of history in this pace. You can have a free tour which explains several history events and overall purpose of the facility. Expect queue to see the crown jewels, at least 4 hours to see all there is to see

This. Place offers best view of tower bridge. The museum tour is good if you have enough time to spend. Visitor center is very informative and guides well. Bus stop is close by if you want to go St Pauls Cathedral or traffalgar square. You can find direct buses from there.

When you visit the Tower, be sure to take one of the guided tours from the Yeoman Warders, they are excellent guides and the tour doesn't run so long that child start losing interest.

There is a bit of a wait to see the crown jewels, but even on a Sunday ot wasn't too bad.

Simply beautiful. Able to roam the grounds with ticket purchase and see the sites in any order you'd like. Many photo op spots. So much history. There are audio guides you can rent with headphones to listen to about each site. Strollers are permitted but shortly after entering you will need to park it at the buggy park and carry baby the rest of the way. Quite a few stairs depending which sites you enter. Worth it in our opinion but be warned. Hubby and I will come back without kids so we can really take it all in. Loved the Crown Jewels exhibition.

Didn't research this at all before going in. You can walk the castle yourself or go with a guide on the half hour. Tons of great history here, really felt the energy of walking through a castle where so much has happened. Great views of the Tower Bridge from here as well. This was one of my top highlights of London, takes a couple hours to do it, you won't regret it at all.

My favourite tourist attraction in London. 30 pounds is well worth the visit because there's so much to see (walking across the walls, through towers, seeing the crown jewels as well as armour and swords). Took me 3 hours.

Amazing place to walk around. Had great weather the first week of June and allowed us to walk around and take plenty of time. After three hours, I was tired from being there, but easily could have spent another 2+ hrs wondering and learning more.
Did not take any tours other than self-guided.

Stunning location steeped in history. Staff friendly. We went for a function so not the usual visit but it was a great venue for a function and generally very pleasant. Easy to get to from tower hill station and plenty of places to eat and drink around. A busy location but vibrant and exciting experience.

Just simply amazing . Tours are organised with regularity. Beefeaters are the best guides ever. Always something going on (exhibition on WW1, the poppy field, Anne Boleyn s days ...) . Never disappointing .

What trip to London isn't complete without a trip to Big Ben. This was my first time in London and was interested to see this icon. For me it lived up to the hype as it was very majestic. Too bad that you are not allowed To go into this clock tower. From any angle this icon shines over London. We were lucky to get here before the renovations started and heard the chimes of the bell. Also, don't forget to look at your companion and say, "Look, Big Ben, Parliment" when you are there (American humor). Enjiy

Absolutely fantastic, the staff are really friendly and engaging, the site itself is kept immaculate and the sheer historical value of the site is superb. It's so weird to see the site empty but its actually more enjoyable the way it is at the moment.

I've been to London many times but never visited the Tower of London. It was easily the highlight of my trip and I can't recommend it enough. We were lucky enough to stumble upon a tour with a man called Clive who was funny and informative. Thoroughly enjoyed his guided tour and would highly recommend it.

Love the history of this place! It really is like walking in to another world. The stories, the famous people who visited or who were executed, some buried in the chapel; all fascinating. A must see if in London. And of course the jewels were to die for!

Absolutely LOVED IT!! I loved all of the information they provided and the shows they put on and all of the staff were so friendly. The drinks were a reasonable price too considering. I would definitely go again.

Huge with a lot to see and do! It is still a functioning tower and has mostly stayed the same since its inception, so you can really feel the history! I will warn that to explore everything to the fullest, it's going to take up your whole day-- at least six hours!

I think they give out too many tickets in a day. They say we went it was an over two hour line to see the Crown Jewels. Otherwise it was interesting but we didn t get to see what we came for.

It was worth every penny to get into the tower! The whole day can be spent here exploring each and every nook, high and low. We went at 11am and still needed more time! Highly recommend doing the walking tour with a guide as it's funny and informative too. Next up pack some food, as the restaurant is a bit pricey

Beautiful and stunning. Attended to view the 10,000 flames being lit. Honestly breathtaking, well worth a visit at anytime to view. Staff on site are friendly and always pleasant to talk to with information about the castle.

Would highly recommend taking a guided tour with a Yeoman Warder Guard, they offer a great depth of knowledge about the Tower and cover a lot of historical content in an easy-to-absorb manner. Our guide Billy was fantastic at handling crowds and getting a few laughs out of the audience. The lines for the Crown Jewels were understandably quite long, but all other areas of the Tower were quite easy to navigate and less congested.

Loved seeing all the old suits of armor and the Crown Jewels. The free beefeater tours are probably some of the best I've been on in terms of entertainment. It is a popular site so expect crowds and a queue to get into the Crown Jewels, overall its fantastic! If you are planing to visit 2 other historic castles it's better to get an annual historic sites pass. Cheaper if your seeing at least 3 places and in some places like Kensington palace you can go into a shorter priority entrance line.

A place steeped in history and some of the exhibits are fascinating to look at. The queues to see the crown jewels, however, was ridiculous and when you're on a tight schedule it was disappointing to miss out on seeing them.

What a fantastic place! It is expensive, but it is run by a charity and the upkeep must be enormous. I was taking my 7 year old for the first time. She had a wonderful time. There is lots to look at, interactive displays for children. The history of the place is felt everywhere. The yeoman warders are amusing and provide amusing, factual tours (no extra cost). The only queue was for the Crown jewels, but these are well worth the wait. We had a wonderful day out and will definitely be returning.

What an amazing place, full of fascinating history and incredible exhibits. I can highly recommend going on one of the yeoman warder tours (Clive was brilliant!), takes about an hour, but very humorous and full of insight. Don't expect to be in and out in a couple of hours, this will take all day to do it justice.

If you go to the Tower of London do the Beefeaters tour. Our guide, John, provided a wealth of information and he was very entertaining and kept the group engaged. He was awesome I'd rate him a 7 out of 5!
One piece of information be ready for the crowds and all the little ones running around. If you can get there early do so to avoid the crowds and to give yourself time to see everything. It literally takes 4-5 hours to see everything depending on your pace.

Amazing piece of history. Make sure you catch a Yeoman s free tour. Don t be put off by the crowds, there s an unexpected amount of space inside the walls that easily accommodates thousands. Loved it.

One of the best sightseeings I've ever been. You can see all of the crowns since now and all the jewelleries of the queen(you're not allowed to take photos in this rooms)... when you book just make sure that you'll do the 1 hour tour with the guide he's nice and he explains almost everything + our tour guide was very funny... and you can explore every cell and every part of the castle

We had a lovely time exploring the Tower while in London. It was right close to the hotel and the weather was amazing. We purchased the audioguide and it was honestly the best audioguide I have ever come across. It takes you through different places and explains what you are seeing, and also tells you where to go next.

Give yourself lots of time and bring water on hot days!

One thing; sod off about the "No Cameras" rule around the crown jewels. This is 2018 and we all want to take pictures with these fancy new things we carry called smartphones. It literally feels like an old rule written by your grandmother after the war and enforced by your grandfather (who doesn't understand why he is enforcing it). Don't be grumpy gramps, it's just a quick shot of the Queen's nicest hat.
