If you go to the Tower of London do the Beefeaters tour. Our guide, John, provided a wealth of information and he was very entertaining and kept the group engaged. He was awesome I'd rate him a 7 out of 5!
One piece of information be ready for the crowds and all the little ones running around. If you can get there early do so to avoid the crowds and to give yourself time to see everything. It literally takes 4-5 hours to see everything depending on your pace.
