Such a good time to visit. Hardly anyone there. Get down to London and see for yourself. It'll never be like this again and they need the revenue. You won't regret it. We pootled about for a couple of hours. Outstanding

This is one of the best sites to visit in London, rich in history and truly spectacular. One can go on a tour with an actual beefeater to learn about the tower s terrible past. The crown jewels are also on display here.

There are lots of old historic buildings in London, but this is a must see. The history of the place is fascinating and the museum pieces on display there are interesting. The staff and guides were funny and informative. This is a must see, if your in London.

Be sure to plan your timing if you want to tour this historical site.I went to the ticket booth half an hour before closing. I was told the ticket sales end half an hour before closing. Also, I was told that the tour takes about three hours to complete. We did enjoy walking around the outside.

What an amazing and beautiful place to visit! We bought the London Pass and were able to get a fast track inside the grounds. While walking around, we were able to take very impressive photos. The gift shop was tiny and every stop including the restrooms, Crown Jewels, and food/ice cream vendors, had long queues (which is expected on a busy summer day).
Going inside the tower bridge on the tour was very informative and fun. The male staff member who first greeted us (where he gives kids a coloring book) was hilarious and friendly. We enjoyed many photo ops on the bridge with glass floors and mirrored ceilings. Even the steam room was interesting! Very nice and relaxing overall attraction for all ages.

Really lovely visit to The Tower of London with my daughter & husband. So much to see, luckily we saw the Crown Jewels 1st as the queue after we finished was huge. I highly recommend everyone goes to see the Crown Jewels 1st. Lovely place, but you only need a half day for the whole visit

Been a bit skeptical of the ticket price but my daughter wanted to visit for her birthday. Wish I'd bit the bullet and visited earlier. Absolutely amazing site, hard to sum up what was the best part. Seeing the Crown Jewels was actually More

Tower of London is definitely one of the places in center London it's worth to pay a tickets for. The place is full of history and beautiful things to see, that it's definitely worth it spending hours here. I recommend going in the morning (9-9:30) and starting with the Crown Jewels exhibition as it is the most popular place and the queue will get bigger and bigger. The Crown Jewels it's a beautiful collection that it's definitely worth seeing it. After that, you can enjoy the yard, the beautiful towers and the other exhibitions which are beautiful as well. In some days, you can actually see actors playing different scenes from history.

This was one Amazing place to see! The Crown Jewels were a Big hilight of our trip to England. Unfortunately we couldn t take pictures of the Crown Jewels. But it is such an impressive place to visit! We ate lunch at the cafe within the grounds of the Tower. The gift shop is great too! We got in with The London Pass. The London Pass is So well worth the price!

Another amazing piece of history in London with intricate details surrounding the tower's history, the display of the Crown Jewels and set right on the Thames with a spectacular view of Tower Bridge.

It is absolutely nice, the low rate is because overpriced. 28 pound is a lot of monetmy compared to what you see inside.
Appreciated people giving explanations for free you can stop to listen.

Who can abstain from a historic castle in the middle of one of the most timeless and rich cities in the world! The main attraction are the crown jewels, but it's easy to spend hours exploring the additional halls, walls, and corridors through the castle. Take the time for a guided tour, or one of the courtyard shows. If you love history, this is a full day, if not, it is within reason to see the whole castle quickly in 3-4 hours.

Had a family day here last week. Yeoman warder tour was entertaining as he gave you some insight into history of Tower. Was expensive to eat here, food very expensive, drinks not so bad.
As you would expect was busy and had to queue for exhibits.

Such an amazing place to visit. Make sure you have plenty of time because there is so much to see. Also go early because the lines can be very long. I got in early and headed straight for the crown jewels and then started at the back of the complex and moved toward the front. That allowed me to stay ahead of the crowd for a good portion of the day. So much to see.

3 stars for the actual Tower of London. 5 Stars for the tour of the grounds from a yeoman. He was outstanding. They don't take you inside the Tower, you are on your own. Once inside, there are a lot of displays of armor, weapons, etc. of the period. Not much on this history.

No trip to London is complete without a visit to the Tower of London. The history is overwhelming and the displays are generally very well done. The audio tour is very helpful, though I prefer the tours by the Yoeman Warders. Recommend buying tickets in advance on line. Follow the guide maps for the best, most complete experience. If you pass on the torture/execution portion, you won't have missed anything. Stairs on some of the towers are quite narrow, winding and difficult to navigate. Great photo opportunities throughout. We had visited about 20 years earlier. The Crown Jewels exhibit has been improved incredibly. The line can get long, but it moves fairly quickly. It's not to be missed. Even the cafe is decent and reasonably priced. They have a great gift shop.

If you like history you will love this place its just full of it! The Yeoman tours are also awesome funny and informative. Great place to spend 2 to 3 hours even on a winters day. Book online and in advance to avoid the queues well worth it.

I am addicted to history so this place was something I was really looking forward to and I was not disappointed. Wait for one of the yeoman for the tour. It's very interesting and sometimes hilarious. DO NOT miss the Crown Jewels exhibition. You will never see anything like it!

A must if visiting London. The Beefeater tour is informative and funny. The Crown Jewels are interesting, but were not the highlight I expected them to be. The armoury was brilliant. My 11 year old daughter found lots of "hands-on" things to do which were quite educational. And if you are a photographer then there are thousands of photo opportunities here.

Probably the most historic place in the whole of London. Great full day out for the family well worth the money. Beefeater tours highly recommended.Visit the chapel.. full of history and burial place of too many too mention. Crown Jewels awesome. Loads to do and see. Great views of Tower Bridge, the river, HMS Belfast and the Shard. Cafe really good value in the castle. Toilets are excellent - cleanest we've ever seen.

A must see if you are in London. Tower Hill is nearest tube station (District and Circle lines) District line is very busy during rush hours so plan well. Good gift shop and restaurants just before entering the main gates. Crown jewels can be seen here. Lots to see inside. Behind the Tower and along the river are some nice open-air bars set up with a great view of the city. Good for relaxing and photos.

Made the mistake of visiting during school holidays - so crowded and queues everywhere! Well over 1 hour to see crown jewels. Luckily it was a nice sunny and warm day otherwise it would have been hell !!

A london classic! Lots to see and do. Took a whole day to go through. It was busy, but it doesn't seem it since your spread out. Crown jewel's were neat to see, but they really sped you through it to make sure everyone see them.

It is worth visiting. I'd highly recommend going early in the morning as the hoards of tourist groups will invade the castle decreasing the possibility of actually enjoying the exhibits. I do not mind tourists. I do mind annoying noisy tourists and groups that push you around!!

We would recommend starting your tour of London here. Very historically informative. William the conquer built the castle in 1066. Lots of progressive history here. All the way up to Queen Elizabeth II. Then proceed to Westminster Abby and so on.

Must see historic site. Arrive early for shorter lines to see the crown jewels. Allow most of the day because between the multiple tour options and wealth of things to see and hear, this location is not a place to rush through. We did a quick tour with our tour bus group then went back too see things we'd missed. The Beefeaters (properly Yeomen Warders) are entertaining while providing great insights into the history of the Tower. Recommend listening to as many tours as you have time for.

Historic site very big and very busy. The crown jewels viewing is worth the queue! The free guided tour of grounds was chaotic - better off getting audio tour (headphones) for this attraction. Good views of tower bridge. Lots of artillery and suits of armour on display

Loads of history and fab architecture and not forgetting the wonderful and cheeky ravens
The queues are pretty heavy though, although we didn't have to queue for the worst one which was to see the jewels as we had a disability lanyard

I really loved the tower itself. Rich in history and very beautiful. The guided tour included in the price is very much worth taking part in. Lastly you get a nice look at the Crown jewels.

The only bummer is that the ticket office requires you to print your digital tickets, which is absolutely ridiculous for an attraction of this size. Not all tourists have access to a printer or know their way around london well enough to go to a library to print.
We never had to print our tickets for any other attractions.

It's an easy 5 stars because it's so beautifully maintained and there's just so much to see -- but that's not to say it's perfect! Quibbles include:
* the "Family" audio guide tries unsuccessfully to appeal to both kids and parents; any child over 8 is going to be fine with the regular audio guide
* even a very small group "stopping" together inside the Crown Jewel exhibit freezes the entire queue, with very limited space to step around and go on; this ups the time required to far, far too long. Even just fractionally better crowd control would make this exhibit less of a trial
* the entire arms and armor exhibit could do with a substantial revamp and much better explainers; you'll see *lots* of curious kids wanting more information but not being able to get it from signs, audio commentary, or even the yeoman warders.
