Gary the Yeoman/Beefeater made us all chuckle whilst dispensing nuggets of historical facts in his guided tour of the Tower of London this morning. A must see. Highly recommended 11/10 with rice

Throughly enjoyed my day with my wife at Tower of London. Great to wander around one of the royal palaces in the capital. There are regular guided tours with the Yeoman wardens, areas to visit in many of the key areas within the walls, along with fantastic views over London and the River Thames. A great day helped by the weather! Not so easy with very young children, many areas are only accessible by stairs, the Crown Jewles can be accessed with prams however

If you only have time to visit a couple places while in London, make sure this is one of them. There's so much history here, I recommend taking the Beefeater tour and listening to some of their stories. Worth the 45 minutes!

Ideal for couples and families. Only thing I would suggest is get there early if you want to see the crown jewels or prepaid for a very long que

This was such a great time! I didn't even really want to go that badly but I enjoyed every minute once I was there. The Yeoman Warder who led our tour did a fantastic job. The reenactments of attacks on the tower were hilarious and informative. Fun for all ages, and SO much to see and do!

What can I say? Probably one one the top historic tourist attractions in the world. Great blend of political and military history dating back 940 years. Gruesome tales of executions and daring escapes. Then there's the crown jewels. Staffed by amazingly knowledgeable and friendly people. A must see if you are visiting London. You can easily spend at least half a day here and only scratch the surface.

Brilliant. The queue for the crown jewels on Saturday was mental but during the week, not too bad. Loads to see and a decent room with activities for kids. Want to avoid that during the weekdays though because there were quite a few schools.

Beautiful display of British history. Very well put together and done so in an educational way. Great fun for anybody who enjoys history, fantastic architecture or England in general. Absolutely worth the money and I would recommend everybody and anybody to visit the Tower of London during their time in London.

The tour with our Yoeman Warder, Scott Kelley was by far the highlight of our first day touring London. He was thorough, entertaining, funny, and educational. We really appreciated being guided through the grounds as he helped us understand the significant history that has taken place there. We we're quite shocked to hear that he is relatively new to the job! His professionalism, passion and obvious knowledge was impressive! We highly recommend doing the Tower of London and if you can get on one of the free guided tours you will not be sorry!

Phantastic experience with the kids, didn't go for any of the hot spots (such as the crown jewels, much too busy) but simply enjoyed the outdoors. There was a play going on with knights slaying a red dragon - best entertainment you can wish for with little ones!

One of the nicest Castles I've visited in the UK. The line to see the Crown Jewels vase way to long for me to sit and wait, so did not do that. However, there is close to 1000 years of history here and you can see much of it threw out. I have mixed opinions about that because the zoo parts were just annoying. I reccomend watching some YouTube videos before you go. There is not much onsite information. However, they do have guides and portable audible guides available.

It is a must see castle with a long history of use.

The White Tower and Crown Jewels were amazing

We arrived at 9:30 am on Sunday morning and waited in the group ticket line. At 10 am they opened the ticket booths and the line moved quick. They took our vouchers and gave us printed tickets. The line to get into the tower gates was very long and it took another 25 minutes to get in. Once in side you have to pay 5 pounds if you want audio guides. We then waited another 20 minutes in another line for the crown jewels but it was worth it. They were amazing to see and the flow of people moves well once inside. The white tower was also amazing to see all the amour of past kings and other historical items. The only thing we would do different is not go early in the morning since once we got outside the gates there we no lines any more

Such a great and historic site! Lots to see! Well worth the ticket price! Highly recommend the Beefeater tour that starts on the grassy moat area right at the entrance. Our guide was very funny and told us a lot about the history of the castle.

The Tower of London Beefeater tour is now legendary as shown by the number of hits 'Beefeater Bill' Callaghan's tour has had on YouTube but that's only the start of it. There's so much history on display that you can easily spend and entire day in the Tower. I highly recommend taking at least 3 hours out of your day to visit.

We had a fantastic day at the Tower today. With restricted numbers it was wonderful to stroll around with no queues for anything. There are some areas that are closed at theoment for example the Mint. Staff and Yeoman were all very happy and helpful. Would love to go again and would recommend!

Went to see display marking the end of the Great War. Huge crowds, poor crowd control methods, abrupt rude staff but thank goodness for Met Police PCs on crowd control from GD and CE. Good humoured and helpful.

Wow great place to visits. Wonderful actors and tons to see. Lots of stolen gold and gems from over the centuries of stealing... From Henry viii treatment of the Catholics burning of churches and Ireland treatment to battles with France and Spain. At least they are taking care of it.

Really well thought out layout which caters for all ages. Even though really busy it's possible to find space to sit and rest. Good interactive displays and the staff were really helpful and happy to share their knowledge of current events and past history.

Amazing tour

Amazing tour

We were lucky to get Bill Callaghan to take the Tour, have to say he was the highlight of our trip to London. He is clearly passionate about his job as one of the Tower Beefeater's and a very funny natural Story Teller.....

If your American just remember he is only Joking......

The tour is packed full if historic facts and English Wit throughout and really uncovers the history of such a historic place.

Once concluded we wandered around the various Towers and viewed the Crown Jewels which are just mind blowing. They had so much wealth they made a Punch Bowl the size of a bath out of solid gold?!!!

Also home to Fusiliers Museum which is also worth a visit to discover the history of this great Regiment of the British Army.

A great day and well worth a visit

Really cool place if you like history. Crown jewels aren't my thing, but worth seeing. The rest of the fortress was fascinating to see. We spent a few hours there but you can easily spend a lot more time there

Great place to visit, enough things to read / listen to / look at that you can really make it take as long as you like, all day if you want. At least give it a few hours I'd say.

It's not cheap but it's pretty unique, so if you're here you may as well eh?

A lot of different areas. This places holds the crown jewels. We didn't have time to take a long look around, but what we did see was a lot of fun. Do not eat the food there.... very expensive and not worth it. Eat before or after you decide to go.

Can't miss a must see. Without kids I took my time and spent about 3 hours to see everything. Get there when it opens and see the Crown Jewels first!

Update, came back with the family, spent another 3 hours here the exhibits are all still top of the line. Okay so also came during a holiday, massive crowds so be prepared for a long queue unless you can get here early .

Tickets for an adult is 27 pounds but it's a worthwhile visit. Our tour guide Jim Duncan, yeoman sergeant warder was brilliant and humorous. We attended the tour at 14:30hours and lasted for an hour.
