Lots to do and see. The audio guide is great but it works without one. Time well spent. It is a little expensive.

Lots to do and see. The audio guide is great but it works without one. Time well spent. It is a little expensive.
AMAZING place! Every square inch is full of history, if only walls could talk!!
A lot to see and do - get here early and wear good walking shoes.
Kohinoor diamond if u want to see. Then this is the place where u can see. Highly recommended for tourist people. One of the best attractive place in London. Full day can spend here. Can't forget the queen crowns
Great place to spend a few hours. The White Tower has a lot of steps but it is broken up so you don t have to walk them all at once. Nice collection of arms and armor. The burial place of Ann Boleyn, Lady Jane Grey and Catherine Howard is in the Chapel Royal St. Peter ad Vicula. To gain entry join one of the Yeoman Warder tour. The Warder tour is worth joining, they start every 30 min down in the moat by the bridge as you enter. Yeomen are very funny and full of knowledge, they will gladly pose for a photo with you if you ask nicely. It is very nice to walk the battlements and enjoy a tea or coffee from the cafe. The queue to see the Crown Jewels can get long so best to try to get there early. In the Beauchamp tower you can see old graffiti carved in the stone by some of the captives held there. Well worth a few hours.
So much History and so much to learn , ideal for young and old.
Those in a pushchair or with impaired mobility may find it difficult. Beautiful photo opportunities.
Nice place to spend a few hours. Best booking online to save money (this can be done right before you visit).
Very interesting, and we didn't see everything I'm sure.
Decent place to see best place inside at least for me were the crown jewels..
Tower of London is good but......
It's more for the tourists as a "tick of the list" destination. Great big queues for the crown jewels, which turn a bit "Disney" where you think your almost there and you turn the corner and it's another two rooms full of queues playing videos on the walls and the crown jewels are a blink and your miss it moment on a travellator.
The bloody tower.....just an empty room with a light up display unit listing who has been killed there. Not what I was expecting.
The best display is in the white tower of all the armour.
It is a very interesting place to learn about history, but looking at all that gold it is hard not to think about how much Britain has stolen from other countries
Lovely bridge. Tourist love the bridge as well . There's more traffic on the pavement than the road. Great if you don't mind rugby tackling people out your way.
Expensive and can be full of people, avoid in the high season. If there's a queue don't bother. Best to go early and on rainy day.
You can easily spend half a day here. So much history.
What is not to love about this place? Beautiful, historical, magical.
Entertaining if you don't mind long queues. Great for kids, very easy to reach with the underground (Tower Hill station)
This place is an incredible experience. The Yeoman Warder tour is a must do. They have so much knowledge of the history of the castle and are entertaining as well. Once the tour is done you are able to explore on your own. There is so much to see here. Plan to spend a half day at least to be able to see everything you can. This is an incredible piece of history that should not be missed.
Very interesting historical site with many places to visit. Clear signage throughout and helpful staff.
Incredible place to visit with so much history. Would highly recommend
Had a good time viewing the crown jewels and the historic architecture, cafe was a bit meh but overall a fun experience.
Only jelly room and view on Thames is interesting.it s really
Another fantastic place to visit with the family. We booked online which seems to be the cheap option or if you working or worked MOD it is a lot cheaper. We went on guided tour with the yeoman basher Briggs was his name. Very friendly and knowledgeable. We visited the crown jewels, bloody tower, white tower, traitors gate and all very interesting. There are plenty of toilets and cafe. All reasonably priced. Then outside you can see tower bridge and also docked HMS Belfast. All in worth the visit.
Be prepared for lots and lots of walking especially for people who do not like walking. Ticket prices are quite expensive on the door worth buying online in advance beat the queue aswell, really busy. The toilet queues do build up and have to wait in line and make you feel like your back in school. The cafe is expensive I would advise to bring your own flask with tea or coffee. Worth seeing once only! Will need most of your day to walk around so do plan your day in advance or start up early if you can and take your lunch with you as you can get some from there but not much of a variety and expensive sandwiches. Kids friendly. Wheelchair and disabled friendly.
One of the must see attractions in London. Need a minimum of two hours. If you have less time, then see only the Crown Jewels, and White tower (which will take about 2 hours). You can also see Queen's guard here. Unfortunately no pictures allowed at the Crowns Jewel. you can skip the walk along the perimeter wall and instead focus on the key attractions. You can easily spend 4-5 hours if you want to explore everything here.
Lots of great restaurants to the east of tower to grab food after the visit.
Lots of history. Neat place for the whole family to visit.
There is a lot of interesting history here. A great experience.
It's interesting to see part of our history but would not recommend for people with walking disabilities as there are lots of narrow steps and I had to sit out of a few towers to visit
Went to the Tower to watch the Ceremony of the Keys with family. Superb atmosphere at night so highly recommended
What a fascinating place. The history, the ceremony, the yeoman, the beer. Highly recommended.
If you are a history buff, if you like to push around and stand in a long queue go for it.
It was a great place and maybe I am being harsh here. I just felt it could have delved into more of the history with a passion. Based on the guard tour I would have given this 5 stars. But the signs and lack of fluid walking structure let it down.
One of the must-sees of London with tours by the yeomen (who live at and guard the tower) regularly available each day at no extra cost. Each building in the complex shows different parts of the towers history including the Crown Jewels, old ammunitions and sets of armour, the story of the bloody tower, torture instruments etc.
More interaction please!!! Staff appeared more like security guards with very little inteaction, could do so much more & really bring it to life for all. Weather was appalling ( not their fault of course) however there is no where to sit & eat under cover unless you are eating in one of their cafe's, so we ended up huddled in an archway trying to eat whilst sheltering from the rain. Get there early & do the crown jewels first as it gets ridiculously busy with queues snaking around the main courtyard. Overall loved the history of the place but could have had so much more fun with more interaction.
I don't visited but if you want to have a beautiful view on London go there
Fascinating place, great history, great day out. Recommend the Beefeater tour
Fantastic experience with lots to see! The Crown Jewels vault was exquisite, and is worth the trip alone to the Tower.
What's better than a complimentary tour of the tower by a Beefeater, watching the changing of the guard, taking a look at the Crown Jewels and yet more history besides?
Great fun. Though it was rather expensive, even with a student ticket
Beautiful views! Only three minutes walk from the metro station
Nice to see, got some good pictures of the outside. Bit pricey to go inside. Warwick castle is substantially better.
Had a fantastic experience here! The yeomen were fun and cheery as well as very informative. The grounds are in excellent condition considering the age of the Tower and there are several interesting exhibits/museums inside. Tickets were reasonably priced and the whole thing can be done in a couple hours
The most English institution in London. Hugely touristed but absolutely worth the visit. Tour with a yeoman warder or use an app audio guide or wander on your own. We opted for the later. It was easy to tour the outer battlements and see Edward I's chambers and circle back around to the crown jewels and the White Tower with the royal armory. Don't worry about the Ravens getting away. Their wings are clipped, and the keeper has a couple of spares just in case. Amazing to think that the place was first built almost 1000 years ago.
Must vist place in London. Oldest construction in London where the crown with Koh-i-Noor diamond is kept in Royal Treasures.
Amazing history. Audioguide and yeoman tour both add to the experience. Go at opening and straight to the crown jewels before the crowds build up. We spent about 3 hours here.
Excellent educational visit with school. The workshops were pitched perfectly for primary, the information and staff were absolutely fantastic. Great trip.
We had a group tour by night, it was amazing hearing all the stories & history... just love my hometown!!
Nice castle. The crown jewels are very impressive, allready wondering how the ones of charles will look.
Love the tower of london. One of the reason uk is my favourite country is that you can appreciate and feel the history when you are in the castle.
The best stop in London for history about the crown and generations and generations of rulers. Make sure to visit all the highlights on the map, this will take between 2-4 hours depending on if you stop to listen to the guides and read everything. Crowds are very large in the late morning or early afternoon, come early to avoid long lines.
Go in the, it gets very crowded street lunch by the time your almost finished.
Great local attraction! The beefeater tour is a must. Would book online for savings on admission.
Neat place to visit. Great architecture and historic scene, but nothing to do or see, unless you have a guided tour.
Outstanding visit and Yeoman warden was very entertaining
Amazing history and told by very animated Yeoman Guards. Crown Jewels were stunning and it s just simply amazing to think this place has been standing for nearly 1000 years. Go early in the morning to avail a lot of the crowds
One of London's most famous landmarks, the historic Tower houses the Crown Jewels, the prison cell of Sir Walter Raleigh, known as the Bloody Tower, and the Chapel of St. John and the Royal Armories.
What an amazing place...steeped in history that you can almost touch. Great interaction with the beefeaters and wonderful reenactment that truly brought the past into the present. Particularly liked the fact that there was no set time to visit any of the towers and although there were lots of visitors , we didn't feel as though we were in a crowd. Spent the whole day there. Slight criticism would be range of snacks on offer but hey - should've taken a few sandwiches!
Personal vet first castle in life. Totally shocked by its great construction and historic stories!!
Interesting place. A lot to see. Downside is that they funnel through the tower in lines, so can get annoying.
Blisteringly hot today. Nice cool castle was the best place to be! Lots to see and great chat from the Beefeaters!
Big Tower in London with a few bonus towers, a river, a tower bridge and so on.
A bit too big, fun and beautiful, smart and elegant
Th eBridge is iconic site which screams London all over it, a must see, it's not as wide as I thought but still an interesting structure with the striking blue finish. Don't forget to check the castle of course! Lot's to see including the famous Jewels. Tip: you'll get the best shots of Tower Bridge from the north eastern bank, i.e. where St Katherine's dock is, by the Thistle Hotel.
Cute, loved learning about the invention of Gravity
It is a great place to visit, very historical, however, the entrance is very pricey!
The Tower of London is a must for any first time London tourist. Great for ALL ages. Would recommend buying tickets online and arriving early. If viewing the Crown Jewels is high on your agenda, make your way to the queue asap (easy to see everything else later). I have seen that queue bank to a 90min+ wait. Have been to the Tower twice now (9 year break in between visits) and still interesting and enjoyable. Enjoy
Ceremony of the Keys.....simply superb history......well worth the visit
Unbelievable building almost feel like your looking at a picture
The ticket price is a little high, but you get to see quite a lot for the money. We just rushed through every part of the castle and it still took us about 2 hours. If you are actually interested in the history, you can easily spend a whole day here. Taking photos is also no problem. There are also some of those iconic UK guards inside the castle. All in all, definitely worth a visit.
The best of all the Royal buildings.
Other than the sheer dimensions that make it so impressive, the fact that the Beefeaters conduct the tours is unique and really enjoyable.
There is so much history at the Tower that a single visit is not enough.
Plus really great views looking at the Tower and from the Tower across London, make this a must visit.
Nice and easy to get to by Tube.
The ticket kiosks make getting a ticket easy, although I d recommend getting it on line as you save a little and with a rail card you can often get 2 for 1 deals.
Make the time to visit. You won t regret it.
Worth every minute of our time. Allow at least 3 hours
Arrive early to avoid the lines and capture incredible photos of your stay. Guided tours are not necessary unless you hate to read. The visit was incredible as you literally immerse yourself into one-thousand years of English history.
Highlights: Queen's royal jewels, Henry VIII's armor, Traitors Gate, royal mint, Tower Green, the ravens, prison graffiti, subterranean torture chamber
Its historical place and so beautiful from inside, a must see place
One of not-tobe-missed places in London. Please try to go early otherwise you wouldn't be able to discover all the individual towers, viz - crown jewels, white tower etc. Children will enjoy the game section on the top floor or white tower.
Very expensive to get in. Probably not worth the price. Dont expect a photo with the crown of jewels because you are not allowed to take any photo in there.
Son (8) really enjoyed. Definitely worth a visit. Make sure you join one of the free tour guides as they are really informative.
Had a great experience touring around Tower of London! I was only in London for a couple days and wanted to at least do one thorough tourist experience and thought this might be a good one to explore solo.
I did the self-guided experience but did join here and there for the guided tour when it crossed my path. I thought I'd only be here for maybe 2ish hours but ended up exploring for close to 4 hours so if you wanna take a pretty thorough look at all the stops you may need to expect to stay around that much (possibly more if you're bringing the while family).
Gift shops and the little food stops were great too! Would definitely recommend checking this one out!
Had a very entertaining and informative tour with one of the Yeomen Warders, so much history to learn about. Was a very busy day so we didn't get to see all of it but will definitely go back.
Great place, the building and its contents are stunning, unbelievable when you think of the age too. The history that's there and in the surrounding castles is great and so interesting. Crown jewels next door too which are well worth a visit. Great place and an absolute must if your in London.
Loved loved loved this castle. Probably my favorite. They have left it the way it was so it is very old and simple. There are no rooms set up really but it just feels like you are walking in an abandoned castle... hard to explane but its worth the time and money to go see.
Loved spending several hours touring the Tower of London. So much history contained within. Also great views from here.
Ceremony of the keys. If you ever get a chance go along to this. Great history and helps to raise money for some very worthy charities.
