After landing, taking a train, checking into our hotel, we went to the Tower of London. What a FANTASTIC treat! Lawrence was our tour guide and we like everyone else hung on his every word! Great job and so funny!

Tower of London is always a decent day out. If you're looking for a bit of bang for your buck though you may be slightly disappointed. I presume they've done all they can given the current situation and not having to queue to see the Crown More

Very interesting place. Lots of history and some wonderful restored and discovered areas. The bloody Tower you could feel the atmosphere of what had been. I didn't like that feeling but the rest was great. Met the female raven sitting on a railing. Quite a character herself ...Was chasing people with food. Very entertaining!

Worth going on a sunny day because the grounds are much more enjoyable. There is a lot of outdoor walking along the walls. Many school tours throughout the day so it can get busy.
Friendly staff, book tickets in advance online

Fascinating beyond!!!!! I spent 4 hours there, and I totally would have stayed longer had I not been exhausted from an overnight transatlantic flight. I would absolutely do it again! Definitely go for a yeoman warder (beafeater) tour... hysterical!! Beafeater Dave had us laughing hysterically while he expertly educated us. I also did the audio guide, and i'm so happy I did. And don't forget the crown jewels!!! My jaw was hanging open... magnificent!! A definite must-see!!!

An interesting glimpse into the last of London and English history. Highly recommend the 45 minute tour with the Yeoman to get an overview of the place. Take your time seeing the crown jewels as the main highlight.

What a great day out, lots of different buildings to explore. Crown jewels are amazing to see up close, Beefeaters are funny and really friendly, loved it ! Quite a bit of walking and stairs but that's a lot more interesting exersise than being stuck in the boring gym !

It's good. Tower of London describes its well established history and history about the soldiers who sacrificed their lifes for Britain. It contains most precious jewels and the crowns of the various monarchs who ruled Britain. There are different items used for Kings and by the King's at the time of their coronation. It is a must visit place in London on the Thames river.

The place is huge and you can easily spend 4 hours here with lunch thrown in. I recommend going straight for the Crown Jewels since the line gets long and you can knock that off your list first. After that take the Yeoman tour. It's a must do thing and its free! But I liked taking it at the beginning so that when you walk around afterwards you have all the stories and information from the tour in your head.

It's a wonderful place. You can find all the historic monuments which are 800-900 years old. There r also the crown jewels which will leave u dumbstruck, u can also catch the sight of the beautiful Koh-i-Noor.

Spectacular. The history of this place is incredible. The complex is huge and there is so much to see and do. They've got cafes and shops as well so plenty of amenities to make it comfortable to spend a few hours at.

This is one of the must see places in London for all visitors. How could you miss this historic monument. The crown jewels, the history of armor, the chapel and all of the amazing stories. Of course you have to catch the Beefeater tour.

As someone who is obsessed with English history, this was the tour I needed my whole life. They made it easy to ask questions and there's so much to see! Plan for a few hours and know that the entrance fee is worth it if you genuinely care about what you're going to see. My only disappointments were that I couldn't get closer to the queen's house portion of the tower and that the torture section wasn't more expansive. But we learned a lot and it was great!

Tourist trap. The crown jewels line was over an hour long in the afternoon and most of the exhibits weren't particularly fantastic. Not worth the cost.

Edit: I was told by a friend that a guided tour makes this much more enjoyable. Given that it already seemed expensive, I'm not sure the value would be there when comparing it to things like the British Museum (it's free and you should go) or Westminster Abbey (which included an audio tour.)

Absolutely love the Tower of London!!! So much history, you can literally spend all day taking it all in! It's a historic castle that sits on the River Thames in what is now Central London. It's been a Royal Palace, a prison, a Royal Mint, and even a bit of a zoo, as once upon a time a whole menagerie of wild animals given as gifts roamed the palace grounds! Also the site of many executions, the most famous being the beheading of Henry the VIII's wife Anne Boleyn. Live Ravens fly about & you can view The Crown Jewels. An absolute must-see!!!

The Tower of London - Fortress, Prison, home to the Crown Jewels. A well preserved facility with much to explore. The Crown Jewels exhibit took a while to get through the line that had built up, but was a worth while viewing. I personally enjoyed the exhibits within the White Tower itself more impressive - arms, armor, the chapel, so much history on display. Give yourself plenty of time to take in all the details.

Take the tour! The guided tour made this so much better. We learned a lot and still had time to wander on our own. The crown jewel display is of course amazing but the history in the chapel and the tower, wow! There are stairs and I saw no way around them so take that into consideration when planning.

There are alot of pickpockets in or around the museum. Be careful, those pickpockets want not only all your cash & passport but also your souvenirs in your backpack.

Especially, in the hot season, professional pickpockets are from all over the world and waiting for you and your wallet in this beautiful place.

Great experience, much bigger site than i thought it would be. Lots to see and, fascinating history to experience. Lots of small but well thought out details. Kids activities during half term seemed to be good fun. Well worth a visit.

You can't visit London and not see this place! So much history in such a small place. It's amazing how some of the traditions are still maintained. I had a really funny tour guide. The way he told the sotry made it really fun and easy to comprehend. It was one of the most interesting guided tours i have ever seen. Never a dull moment. Even the kids were paying attention.

Even though it is an expensive attraction it is absolutely worthwhile! The castle is beautiful and full of history. The staff is hospitable and attractions very well designed. There is enough amusement there for an entire day. A must-see when in London.

Don't think you could miss this place if you are in London. The indoor talk in the chapel was very informative...heavy rain meant this was how it was done that day. Loads to see, very well cared for, and the crown jewels are amazing

Worth the money for everything you get to see. Also added the audio tour device which gave some great history. There is also a family/kids audio tour section. The audio tour can seem a bit disjointed at times, but still a good listen.

The Yeomen were knowledgeable and had wonderful personalities. A fantastic place to see the changing of the guard up close. Our family really enjoyed everything.

The first castle for the British Monarchy, establishing the British empire. Enter this slice of history, where Queens were beheaded, Guy Fawkes met his end. Also, the home to the Crown jewels. Great views of the Shard and Thames River, the Tate museum is walking distance on the footbridge close to the Tower. Take a few moments to listen to the Beefeaters, who give regularly scheduled tours.

It was worth every penny to get into the tower! The whole day can be spent here exploring each and every nook, high and low. We went at 11am and still needed more time! Highly recommend doing the walking tour with a guide as it's funny and informative too. Next up pack some food, as the restaurant is a bit pricey

We went with a tour guide. It turned out being such a rainy day, which only added to the atmosphere. Our guide from the outside was fantastic but wasn't allowed to talk during our tour in the tower. We were listening to one of the inside guides and were told by some of the people that we weren't allowed to, which was such a pity as he had such great stories and information. It was a fantastic experience anyway. We were there for the opening which was such a cultural and proud experience. I need to go back and spend more time as we had a time limit being with a day tour. I absolutely recommend this, and suggest setting aside extra time and not being too rushed so you can really take in the history and experience.

So much history, so many beautiful views. Be sure to get there early as it fills up quick but could easily have spent many many hours there reading all about the famous men and women that have lived and died there.

Feels like a bit of a tourist affair more then anything nowadays but still worth the visit. Pretty pricey to get in, but the armour and historical items on display were the highlight of the visit. Seeing crown jewels was similar affair to seeing the Mona Lisa, worth a quick visit then move onto the more interesting displays.

Nice exhibit. I wish I had known to give it at least 4 hours. So much history here. Wish the beefeater your guides would speak up. It's almost pointless to go on their tour because it's hard to hear. Time better spent in line for the crown jewels.

Not worth the money very over priced! Not much to see so hard to justify the price example Hampton Court cheaper and a lot more to see and do for example. Very busy and at least 2 hour queue which is about normal I was told. Disappointed and rated harshly.

Great place to visit... But get there early!
Very crowded from 12pm onwards so if you want to see the Crown jewels, start by this exhibition and do the rest afterwards! Check out the live shows as well!
