Expensive. Most of the stuff inside are photos or recreations of historical events. Some authentic things such as the armour. I did not do the audio guide so maybe would recommend that. Expect an extremely long long for the crown jewel

Very interesting to visit, better to go early before the crowds get in as later there is a HUGE queue forming to see the royal jewels. There is a very good view on the Tower Bridge as well. It took us around three hours to walk around the entire place.

The charms were evident for a little boy who loves knights and castles! Watching the kids experience the perspectives on historical events and important figures was a delight. The paths through the place are well designed to keep the interest of young and adults.

We visited Tower of London last week , Apt time to visit as there is no queue time. There is new measures in place to keep everyone safe .Hand Sanitiser kept in different places for safety measure . Need to follow one way system . Gift shop and cafe inside are still closed , so best to carry some water / snacks if visiting with kids. Cheers to Staff for great work.

Tower of London has been recognised as World Heritage by UNESCO since 1988. It is a 1000 years-old historic castle which located 3-5mins walk from Tower Hill Underground Station. The castle has been guarded and they are working on securing the most historic Crown Jewels and is home to Royal Armouries

Wonderfully prepared for tourists and an interesting place. Make sure you get to a Yeoman tour, there's one every half hour, and they're absolutely wonderful.

Make sure you set aside enough time to get all the tower (2.5*hours minimum).

It is a nice place to go with kids, as they have plenty of space to run. However, I did not feel like there was a enough 'cultural information' in many of the buildings, and you can only get a 'good taste' of it if you are on time for the Yomen tours. The yomen are really nice, but the staff in the ticket offices were quite rude.

As well, with a price of 25 pounds, you should remember to pack your own lunch, as you will not be able to exit and re-enter the area and food is quite pricy inside.

Tower of London is really an amazing place. The audio guide helps us to know importance of every book and corner of the place. There are men dressed as soldiers/historical characters placed at specific points and rooms that enact some pieces of history. Example, there's Shakespeare in one of the rooms who narrates tales of that era.
The royal jewelry is definitely mesmerizing and this is the place where you can find the Indian origin 'Kohinoor'. We are not allowed to click any pictures/record any videos in this area. Do visit this place if you wish to have a glimpse of breathtakingly beautiful kohinoor!

The Tower of London is an extraordinary display of England's rich and long history. A must see for every visitor here. The only negative - and this is a BIG negative - are the extreme long lines in front of most attractions, especially the crown jewels. But, I guess that is something "normal" for popular tourist destinations.

Brilliant historic monument.
Great when viewed from the river.
Excellent to see it's been kept in good condition. The tour is interesting although a bit long.

This place holds a lot of history and it's well worth a look.

It's crazy expensive to visit though, and that is if you take the cheap route without any audio toys or anything.

But if you find yourself interested in the history of Europe, you'd do well to visit as this was an important fortress in a place that was and is a great part of European politics and history.

Pretty cool place a lot of information to digest, but interesting to say the least. There are so many places to visit within the grounds it never got too packed I enjoyed the crown jewels the most! By the way it's just a hop, skip, and a jump away from the iconic Tower bridge! No not London bridge TOWER BRIDGE don't get them confused!

Amazing history and fascinating history. Really no need to buy tickets in advance. It was fast and easy. The line for the Crown Jewels is long. If that's a 'must-see' for you get there early or be prepared to stand in line.

Short queque in the morning to the Crown Jewels, but alas after passing through the entrance, then the queque actually continued shuffling through many rooms with half ordinary posters and displays. Only after many rooms did one start seeing genuinely relevant displays connected to the Crown Jewels and then of course the finally the real deal

Excellent place for a day out. You must do one of the Yeoman tours if you go. They bring the place alive and also point out all the interesting places to visit within the grounds - so do this early in the day if you can. We nearly missed the Crown Jewels due to the size of the queue and time constraints, but the queue actually moves quite fast, so don't be put off by it. They were definitely worthy seeing.

Went yesterday it was really busy but had an amazing day everywhere in and around the tower is steeped in history did not see the jewels but didn't mind as so much other stuff to do and see I did take my children but if children are being taken then take somthing to entertain them as I seen a lot of sad bored little faces overall fantastic day can't wait to go back

Make sure that you get on a Beefeater guided tour....most excellent commentary with a large dose of Army humour...hugely entertaining. Do buy your ticket at the official ticket office and avoid the rip off reseller agents. It will take you half a day to see everything.

Really enjoyed the Tower and the tour with the Yeoman Warder (don't remember the name but he is single, has a Harley and is the newest Beefeater). Loved the history, the White Tower, the Jewels and everything dealing with the Tower. Will love to visit again.

Great tourist area with rich history (my fav subject!). Worth visiting more than once. Since my first time when I was 10, I've been here as many times, lol. Though as you would expect, expensive. You could easily spend the whole day, but if you plan, you can see some parts, and then go about other areas in London, too, then just plan a different part the next visit! If you're from out of the UK and so coming to London is rare, make sure to either split into four visits with different after adventures (or before, going at different times, such as morning, and afternoon visits is good) on four days (of course!), or just one visit starting early as possible and staying to close. Don't get lost in the dungeons! :)

I have to say I think it's over priced. The small cafe it's also ridiculously priced. No menus to see what you would like. Certainly look for deals with tour cards etc to get the price of entrance down. Otherwise its really not worth it.

What can I say?! It's the most iconic fortress in the UK. It sums up and tells of a thousand years of English and UK history. The Yeoman Warders give the most entertaining, un-PC, tours. Interactive displays in the White Tower itself bring history alive for young and old alike. The Crown Jewels are worth the forty-five minute queue for those who don't go when The Tower opens at 10am; they sparkle like nothing else I've seen! ...and then there's the ravens! Watch out if you picnic there and have an open tube of Pringles on view! They are very entertaining. On bank holidays there are sometimes medieval re-enactors and children can dress in scaled down amour and learn how to fight with a sword. At other times teams of actors take you through the drama of key moments in the history of the UK. That is, hopefully all this will happen as soon as we get back to full strength after Covid-19. Meanwhile the White Tower and Jewel House are still open and the Yeoman Warders still give the friendliest welcome around and readily share their matchless sense of humour. Enjoy your visit!

Did a tour led by a Beefeater- highly recommended, as children and adults alike were enthralled by the potted history of the Tower, and of the monarchy, delivered in under an hour. May be a little too scary for kids under 12. Heads on pikes discussed, for example.

Great to see the Crown Jewels, and history of the tower's. Great tour with the Yeoman Warder (Beef Eaters) and the history attached to them. One of the best-selling tours in London. You will not be disappointed. Oops forgot to mention the Ravens that another story.

Brilliant just simply brilliant, the beefeaters are very nice, there is many places to have a lunch and an added bonus is the fact that you only have to where masks inside the exhibits, there is also ravens and there is many chances to get good pictures from advantage points

Definitely a touristy place but nonetheless interesting and gives you a look into the more grisly side of England s history. You ll have to line up for a while to see the Crown Jewels, but there are also other towers with really interesting exhibits. You ll save a bit of time and money by prebooking your tickets online.
