I give this place a 6 but there's not enough stars the staff were fantastic the animals they trained and had their as you'll see in the photos I put up a really nice they put on some shows as well and that was fun to watch overall it was a really great day I was told about this place as I was coming through Morayfield or Caboolture so as I travelled up the highway I called in and it was well worth the trip so I hope when you call in your experience was just as good as mine from mwh
Still an awesome attraction after all these years. I m 25 years old and I ve been coming since I was young and it s still fun! My 8 month old son loved it too, great family fun day out.
This place is great for younger kids. More economical than sea wprld and focus on fish (ie no dolphins, penguins, polar bears or rides). Seal show is one two or three times a day and is enjoyable - it was the right length of time for my 4 yr old but a bit long for my 1 yr old. Highlight was the tunnel under the marine aquarium - sharks, sting ray, giant grouper fish, etc. My 4 yr old also enjoyed touching the star fish. I bought some picnic stuff and should have had it at a park nearby before going in, as there wasnt really a place to rest our feet and feed the kids like i imagined there woukd be. So we sort of rushed throughh at the end (because kids didnt earlier when they were told to). There is a kiosk and courtyard towards the end (selling snacks and drinks).
My children and I love it, what a wonderful place and at such an affordable price. The kids favourite was the seal show and the tunnel. They really loved the touching pool where they could touch the starfish. Thank you Sealife
Is a interesting place for the kids to see sea life , but it isn't as good as it could be , and telling everyone about keeping the oceans plastic free and then giving kids free plastic items is stupid .
Fantastic family friendly venue. Our kids love the aquarium, they seem to want to go there every weekend. This venue is compact so little kids can walk through without getting tired. There are a couple of indoor playgrounds for the kids and a reasonably priced toy and shop. The seal show that we must have seen at least 20 times now still keeps the kids attention glued. There is a small cafe inside but there are better options on the wharf infront of the aquarium.
Great option for a rainy day on the Sunshine Coast, I wasn't expecting much surprised, the Underwater tunnel was a highlight. Would only recommend for young kids, I think older kids may get a bit bored.
Underwater World was really good for the kids. Plenty to look at and do, lots of sealife to look at, and the Seal show was great. I'd recommend this place!
A good aquarium, lots of parking next door. Good food choices close by. Kids will love the pool where they can pick up a starfish or a sea cucumber, the seal show is entertaining.
Really unhappy came down all the way from Adelaide to have to pay $207 for our family to have most of the site closed down and the ticket prices are still the same.. the entire walk through was just a little over 15 minutes for $44 per person. Waste of time.. never returning again!
This was our first time visiting with our 3 teenage kids and we all loved it. Such a great day to spend time with family and getting up close with amazing sea creatures.
Informative and had beautiful displays. My family loved going through the underwater tunnel where the Sharks and rays would pass overhead. There were even rooms dedicated for younger children with Octonauts themed information and Finding Nemo themed play equipment
An amazing place to visit. The different types of sea creatures, colourful coral, jellyfish, and the seal show is a must for all the family. There are plenty of food stores in the surrounding area for meals.
Something for all ages to enjoy. Animals appeared happy & healthy & everything was clean. Staff were helpful & friendly. We alway enjoy a few good hours here even without the kids. Thanks for a great time :)
The place is great. My son loved it, and said it was the best day ever. The seal show is amazing still, BUT....... I Remember it being to much better when i was a kid.
Always the best time. No matter how'd often we go there is something new, fun and exciting to see, touch, experience. So much fun watching it through the eyes of young ones
It's pretty good. The strong emphasis on education and on doing good things means entertainment and focus on the visitor comes second, but it's still good. There are lots of fish and sea creatures, as you'd expect. The seal show was packed out early and we missed it. The layout is awful, it's a confusing maze and I saw several people asking staff which way to get out. The in-house cafe is much better than I expected.
Great place to take the kids. Gets very busy in school holidays, the seal show was so full it was turning people away but I would recommend going any other time of the year
If you have kids this is a great place. We went in Sept. 2017 and found a half price coupon in one of the local magazines. A typical aquarium with lots of sea life. Kids can touch sea stars. Best part is the live show with the seals and sea lions. Not sure if you can bring your own food but the cafe is expensive
Nice family day out, seal show was very entertaining and my 1.5 year old loved it. Was a little disappointed with the way in which my daughter and i was treated at the star fish touch bay by daniel. I was guiding my daughters finger/hand to gently touch the starfish that was attached to the side (whilst verbally saying gentle) which he told us to due to easier location for her to reach. As soon as my daughters finger touched the star fish it dropped off (I still had control of my daughters hand and she wasnt fussying or anything) Daniel let out a big "tttt" sound. I then took my daughter over to see the other starfish to pat that were on the ground and he said very loudly and tonefully to my daughter "You have to be Gentle " .... even though i was talking to my daughter about it.... I ended up just moving away from the touching bay as i felt like he was making a scene. Im fine with the words he used however not happy with the attitude/tone that was directed at my daughter as she is only 1.5 years and didnt even roughly touch the starfish. If it isnt appropriately for a toddler to touch them you should advise them on arrival as we would have happily just looked and would have saved us the hamiluation of being called out on being supposedly too rough!!!
Great experience for not only the kids but myself. This was the first time we've all been there (with the exception of my husband). We live on the Gold Coast and the decision was made to make the drive early morning in order to get there as it opened. I suggest those making the commute do so also given the amount of roadworks leading up to the exit and the popularity off mooloolaba. The Seal show was extremely entertaining and the tunnel walk was spectacular. Look forward to a return visit.
Parking may become a challenge but once inside is really nice. Water tunnel with some sharks and stingrays and a nice walk with a nice variety of animals. There's a sea show normally around 1pm which is really fun. Closes a bit early perhaps but anyway 1 or 2hrs is more than enough to see all it has to offer.
Good reasonably priced day out but the cafe is a complete dud except on school holidays nothing but sandwiches and reheated pies at a ridiculous price. Was not impressed last time we went for my sons birthday and spent a fortune on cold half stale sandwiches and a warmish pie... other than that the day was fantastic. We have been twice this year and enjoyed itbas much as the kids. The seals were fantastic as usual and we had plenty of photo opportunities for photos.
