Always wanted to come with my kids. They enjoyed so much
Not somewhere I'd rush back to visit.web site was having difficulties when we tried booking contacted and told email would arrive directly to resolve.next day finally arrived near lunchtime.surprise surprise this would now be same day booking price increase of 14 dollars per person .building looks old tired and strong unpleasant small not usually associated with sea life aquariums .staff interesting and building front in poor repair
Was a fun place. I had booked a Seal Swim and I was very excited about this part of my day at Underwaterworld however I paid $90 for it what it advertised - that you can swim and play with them with their toys...once you get prepared and you go through a small tour (of the seals kitchen which is just a bucket of their food) they then take you to the pool where we are advised they are timid so you cannot touch them, follow them or corner them, so make no contact whatsoever. They also let us know that the seals dont go near you and they didnt...I paid $90 to swim in their pool whilst they stayed away from me and it was a very sad and empty experience in all. I felt like once I got in the pool I just had to stay away from the creatures. They staff also stated they are even more stand-offish during breeding season which begs the question on why the price is not negotiated?! Otherwise the rest of Underwater world is great.
Needs more variety & displays. Also more information about the different fish.
Fantastic visit...seal show was fantastic and informative.
Enthralling and humourous seal show; remarkable collection of species in aquarium. Remarkable achievement in breeding.
Great place, lots of information. Only giving 4 stars as I found it to be very cramped, especially when there was a big group of people there. Was hard to actually see everything and maneuver the pram around people. There was a lot of wasted space and disappointed there wasn't more hands on things for young children. Once you have been you probably don't really need to go again.
A great family experience but not worth the price if you don't see the seal show. Get in as many of the shows as you can. Take water in summer the seal stadium is a killer, so hot!
Small did the whole tour in under 2 hours with 3 kids
Brought my 7 month old boy here. He had the best time in the shark tunnel!
Seal presentation is the most interesting. Buying tickets at the venue seems bit pricey and you can easily find discounted tickets prior to the visit (e.g., RACQ).
best place to visit and staff are wonderful and pleasant
Something's not available due to Covid19 some people appear ignorant of social distancing
Still a fun day for the littlies
Wonderful experience with family today as we wandered through. Great set up, with lots of information. Really enjoyed ourselves. Will definitely be back
We have annual passes here and is a good thing to do with the kids
The best aquarium ever. All sorts of creatures; not just fish. Crabs, rays, jellyfish, frogs, freshwater things too! The tunnels are awesome for watching sharks swim overhead.
The seal show was a highlight, and it is included in the ticket price.
The gift shop has cheap T shirts. Also the usual soft toy seals etc. Plus the usual array of pencils, key rings, coffee mugs and much more.
The kids just loved it.
Place was really nice and had a lot of neat exhibits. Shark "dive" wasn't really a dive, but more just a walk around in the tank. Seemed like a way to sell pricy photos, but still a neat experience for non divers.
Great for the kids. Make sure you see the seal show
I think it is well done especially for families with children. I have visited several others in other parts of the world and it is a similar standard.
Great for everyone young and old. Seal show was a lot of fun.
Very popular place. Had alot of attractions. Good shows. My 10 year old enjoyed most of the attractions except the underwater tunnel tour. Quite expensive . $40 Adults $28 children. Worth spending 2 hours max at.
I have been here so many times
You can even pat some of the fish.
Our 18month old loved it here. A little over priced for how small it is, but still a nice place to take the kids!
Underwhelming. Kids loved it but it need some major TLC and food couldn't be more basic and at poor quality.
It used to be called Underwater World. The name has changed, but that's about all that has. The price is way to high for what's offered.
Really fun place for kids, the nemo and dory theme was exciting for the kid I babysit
Kept the kids entertained for 3 hours. The seal show was the highlight.
Wonderful place to take mum for Mother's Day. Shame they removed the fun underwater
Pretty decent aquarium, at the time of writing part of it is under construction so maybe check back in the future when it's done to make the most of your ticket price.
Been to it 4times over the years. Always improves each time vist .
I always love visited Underwater world. My 3 year old absolutely loved every bit of it. I wish it wasn't so crowded though. We went in at 9am which 100 odd other people did too and it was so crammed. I ended up waiting back until the main crowd went through so it wasn't so chaotic.
Staff were all very friendly and knowledgeable. I love their environmental awareness approach too.
Fun half day experience and very educational. Enjoyed the seal show.
I enjoyed Underwater World. The seal show was great as was the aquarium displays.
Exceeded expectations, 3 levels with so much to do and see. Get in early cos it does get quite busy especially with school groups
Great display of fish portrayed in close oceanic lifestyle.
Very informative and good workers.
Very hard getting around but the sea life is amazing. Shame about aggression in the world of tunnel .
Paid $20 for a terrible quality photo that my phone Could do better with
Had to stand for forty minutes in line despite pre-paying for a ticket
Ocean tunnel looked awful and had nothing in there for the fish or sharks. Just empty
Great place, went swimming with sharks here, amazing experience
The tunnel is fantastic with a wide variety of marine life and watching the sharks swim over you is an amazing experience. The seal show is hilarious. The layout of the entire place probably needs some updating, which it looks like they are beginning to do. Just be aware it can get very crowded on the weekends.
Very nice ocean tunnel, the rest may not be worth the cost of admission. Good place for young children.
Great times!!! Affordable, clean and very well done! Kudos!!!!
Great for the kids. Also nice place for parents to get out of the sun/heat/rain. A fantastic place to spend a few good hours learning about sea life, environmental responsibility and animals at risk of extinction... For example, did you know only 10% of sharks still remain in the wild? And all 7 species of sea turtles are either vulnerable or endangered?!
Tip: Bring your own lunch (food choices are expensive and limited) and don't expect air-conditioning in the food court... it's an oven during summer and humid conditions!!!
Great family fun, always packed, reasonably priced.
Lots of amazing creatures and great displays for children to learn. A bit overcrowded on weekends, and difficult to get through with a pram in some areas. Overall, a good experience.
Sea Life always does a great job, one of the best zoo's you visit
A great way to connect to the oceanic world, very well run and lots to see and do.
Simple task of police story 4
Police Story 4: First Strike
Great aquarium with lots to see. The penguins and seals are the highlight. The underwater tunnel is lots of fun too. Plan for about 3-4 hour visit to see everything. Overall, it is a great family day out.
We absolutely ejoyed our seal swim.
The seals are amazing and staff are fantastic and very accomadating loved the experience well worth it and memories we will treasure forever definatly recommend
Loved it, really worth going to. Best to pre-purchase your tickets online as the line up can be long in the heat. You go round the front and straight in with pre purchased tickets. Seal show great.....
Loved everything there and the kids had a great time. Especially the seal show. Only detractor was the lack of parking because of limited land in the area.
Watch the seal show and feel your inner child come alive
Seal show is always so entertaining. I've seen it maybe 50 times, still makes me laugh. Staff at the cafe, especially Peter, are so friendly and welcoming.
It was fun, educational and interactive. It's a great day out for the whole family
Not as good as I remember...
Definately worth a look for the kids but my wife who hadn't been before really didn't like it... and she loves this stuff
To be honest it was better as Underwater World. The shows were short and not too exciting and some exhibits have been removed. The cost is okay if you can get a concession ticket. Book online through sealife Sunshine coast so you don't need to line up otherwise you may wait a while during school holidays.
Have visited 3 times in the last 5 yrs and the range of displays has dropped while prices have risen. Sad and disappointing to see this attraction and the whole precinct in decline. To pay approximately $183 for 4 adults, one 12yr old and one 2yr old is beyond ridiculous. And no family tickets!!!!????!!!! It's a family venue!!!! So much money for such a small place and getting smaller, really not worth it and definitely will not be going back. So sad, disappointed and angry.
$35 for an hour is a bit much. The tanks are well kept and a decent variety of species.
Was shattered to get there and no Otters.
Not like it used to be.
The kids had fun. Not a bad couple of hours, but we went on a weekday amd weren't able to get in to see the seal show. I can't even imagine how busy it must be on a weekend. They had another show that day but we couldn't wait around for another couple of hrs, there was nothing left to do. We were happy our young children had a great time though.
Quite disappointing.
Much much smaller than it used to be. Many animals gone (staff advised rehomed to Aus zoo) entrance price far too high for what you see / do,
We are a family of 4 and were in and out within 1.5h
Was great for kids awesome displays - have to take your kid there if in town
They have things in water. What s can I say? Do you want to see living animals under water? Well this is the establishment for you. So many beautiful specimens.
