They do not know how to work with overbooking (when tickets are sold more than seats on the plane). Situations happened earlier with European airlines, compensation was immediately offered there, a hotel, etc. But with UIA differently. The employees of the company in Borispol drive from the rack to the rack .. I had to fly with the child with a transfer and overnight stay instead of a direct morning flight. Neither the transfer nor the hotel was offered, nothing. Not to mention the compensation. Filled the form on the site, wrote an e-mail - zero reaction.

Avoid this airline! Try Wizzair instead.
Flight was rescheduled due to "late arrival of incoming flight" to seven hours later (1810). After having confirmed that the flight will under no circumstances be scheduled to an earlier time I ( and several other passengers) left the airport.
When loading mails at 1600 I noticed that the flight has been preponed to 1400 against their promise.
I was lucky to find another flight at 2100.
2 stars for the friendly support- otherwise 1.
Exchange management please. Poor ground staff who have to deal with all the frustration...

Yesterday, 08.11.2017 at Tbilisi airport stood your stand and next to stand S7 ... it was clear from stand S7 that the company Russian, respects the country of departure, in this case Georgia, as well as passengers, especially Georgians ( because in the first language the information was given in Georgia), as well as international ones, because they prepared their stand in THREE LANGUAGES, where the first language is Georgian, the second language is English, the third language is Russian. Why they did it in Russian is also understandable, because they respect the citizens of the country in which they do business, more precisely Russia, that is where the registered company pays and pays taxes.
But nothing is clear with you! The fact that you spat on GEORGINS - of course I'm sorry, but it doesn't hurt very much! Although it is important! And here is what you spied on the Ukrainians - it is unacceptable !!! I am not obliged to know the RUSSIAN IDEAS and to read this disgrace on the stand of the company I paid for the flight!

Bought an upgrade to business class on flight from Amsterdam to Kiev. Was refused a meal and forced to buy sandwich from the economy class menu. File a complain in the middle of November, got an auto-response saying my case will only be reviewed in February! 90 days to review and refund me for the inadequate services provided? That's too much.

This is my worst airline experience in years. This is a predatory corporation practicing classic bait-n-switch techniques and creating artificial crises to defraud customers. There was a line of enraged customers in line ahead of us at Kiev International Airport, then I realized why when were told that we wouldn't be allowed to board the flight unless we paid an additional $40 "boarding pass fee". Both in the airport and on the flight we experienced angry staff taking out aggression on the passengers, even including denial of basic services such as water. Use another airline or you'll wish you had. This paragraph is just the tip of the iceberg on the many horrible aspects of this trip.

As others have mentioned, UIA doesn't honor the baggage requirements of their partners and charges 50 Euros for a carry-on which was included in the price prepaid for the ticket. The staff was super rude, disrespectful, threatened to let the plane leave without my mother if she doesn't pay that ridiculous unlawful fee. F-ing mob. Avoid at any cost!!!!

Very bad travel experience with Ukrainian International Airlines Toronto-Tehran.

While checking in at Toronto Pearson, the staff ask for your boarding pass they expect you to have done that online in advance otherwise, they ask for 35$ to let you go to the counter to get your boarding pass! That s real insane! Imagine a senior or one who doesn t know their website or if you don t have access to the internet. You have to pay to get to the counter to check in! That s ridiculous.

In the Kiev airport when I was ready to get on board, again the staff are waiting for you at the gate with a measurement if your carry on is 0.5 CM bigger or even the strips of your backpack hanging outside the measure, they will push you out of the lane, bully you and charge you a hefty price. They threaten you to close the gate on you. They literally did that to me. This was total harassment. I was totally frightened by their unprofessional behaviour. When asked to speak to the manager each said she was the manager!

Others even paid for extra carry on at the airport of origin but at the Kiev airport, they will not respect their own payment receipts at the UIA in the origin airport. They will treat you however they want in Kiev and trust me, you will pay whatever they say to get out of there!

Having flown with a handful of airways; British, Lufthansa, Air Canada, KLM, Turkish, Qatar, Iran Air, Austrian, Alitalia ... I never had such an experience before. Actually, this was the first time I saw an airline measuring the carry ons & charge people at the gate.

I had chosen them being about 200 CAD cheaper however I ended up paying more than 300CAD extra and my dignity was smashed as well. I am sure they will lose customers if they continue to treat the passengers like this. They ruined my vacation at the very last moment.

I am writing this to inform you how I and some 10-15 others was humiliated by the staff at the Kiev airport in a desperate hope that this would be rectified and people being respected.

The whole flight had to sit in wet jeans, and then at -8 to get home in wet clothes. Naturally, no one answered the official complaint. This is the worst airline!! Even if it's a one leg to Paris or Amsterdam they will make your experience horrible. Fix your on-line system!! It is absolutely useless when having connected flights. I couldn't change seats for my daughter traveling alone not on line, not by phone, not at the counter. Whoever is your handler at KBP - their staff is terrible!. They mumble, they rude and they have the guts to argue with the passengers in a situation when admitting the fault is the best thing to do. They charge you Euro 15 if you don't check on line - but they won't give you a possibility to check in for a connected flight and you still have to line and talk to their useless staff at the counter. The theater of absurd in aviation industry. Never again at least for myself!

They don't value their costumers.
Ordered vegan meal 4 days in advance, 10 h flight with no meal. The choice of fish or chicken was no more when it was our time to be served.
At the Airport we had to pay extra to get regular service at the counter if we had not pre printed our boarding passes.
Got placed in the back of the plane even though the flight was already late.
At the flight we were invited to stress to our connection flight and take the so called "fast" shorter transfer lane at control. Ukraine international airline lady in faster lane took all the time in the world to check passports.

At the gates they closed our boarding straight before our noses even though we had been running as invited to do.

The Ukraine International airline service counter in Kiev has just sent us around to different International counters with unhelpful staff who doesn't speak english.

This is the most dissapointed I ever been with any flights so far in life.

Would not recommend anybody to choose this airline. No stars and just warnings!!!

They refused to take our luggage for free under Airfrance's policy. Then, they charged me over 200 Euros for two bags. Our luggage receipt was written BY HAND through copy paper. 2019 outside. By hand, and were doing it so slow. We had to run to make it to our flight because at the paying kiosk they processed our luggage so SLOW. My honest experience of my flight with Ukraine international.
I made a connection flight to Toronto, the flight itself was ok, but when I arrived at the airport I was disappointed to see the luggage didn't arrive, then...
I was way more disappointed from the way they handled the situation, so I've reached to the Uia representative and I expected them to approach the matter like they
"actually lost my luggage" which is basically everything I had.
unfortunately, that wasn't the case at all, after standing there for 90 minutes that I've been ignored completely, and been treated disrespectfully (shocking!).
I had to leave the area.
I found my self stock! in -17c with no proper clothing or any of my stuff (imagine...)
after trying to contact them about 40 times! over the phone (which is enough to tell if they're customer service even "actually exist").
also tried to contact the company in any other possible way (phones and multiple Emails), with no response.
I can't find the words to describe the level of the shallow and disrespectful way that I have been treated as a customer, its one thing to lose baggage and another thing the way they choose to handle it as an International airline company!!!
bottom line I would describe the last couple of days since the flight as a complete nightmare, it safe to say they ruined my vacation completely.

until today I'm still waiting for someone in the company to show a little bit of responsibility and call back to try to explain they're side of the story.

I called to support and they told something like this category of tickets is not available for this flight, that's why system sold me the ticket without luggage... In addition, ice broccoli and stewed vegetables taste like in kindergarten or catering, although they have a kind of inadequately talented cook there, sorry for curse. We arrived according to the rules at 3 am at the airport with 2 small children and sat for 8 hellish hours waiting for our flight. I travelled to Egypt, and I wanted to change return date. I called the costumer service, they didn t answer phone calls for almost over a day, so I booked a return flight with another airlines. Finally when Ukraine costumer service answered me, the lady said I gave up too soon, and I should ve kept calling until they answer. They also charged many ppl for carrying items other than a hand/laptop bags. Any in flight snacks/drinks are extra even for over seas flights, they only serve water. An experience I will never going to repeat.

The worst airline ever. Tactless rude workers at the gate. I was transporting an expensive art work to the exhibition and was out of the size for 10 cm. Employees proposed me to fold it into four parts and put into the backpack, or to leave it in a trash. They were enjoying the situation. I am disgusted and pissed on that company.

Second my experience with them is that they cancelled my back flight because I was late on the second part of my first flight, without letting me know. They refused to pay me the road back and were saying that this is my fault. I had to travel via bus one day longer because of them. And they stay ok with the situation, like no fault at all.

I recommend to avoid that horrible airline. Ukrainian service is Worst ever.

Online registration is only available for 2 days, even for a return flight. I bought a place - to make a check for the return flight. When trying to do this, I wrote an error: contact support.
