I'm a platinum member and went to check in around 12. The room wasnt ready which is fine it's not supposed to be till 3. 3:15 it still isnt ready and they didn't think it would be ready till 430. Unacceptable. They put us in a regular room as we had to get ready for meeting clients. The room was disgusting. We got ready and our suite was finally cleaned. The suite was dated and the jetted tub looked disgusting. The jets were filthy and the shower had mold on ceiling. I'm not sure what's going on with this Marriott but definitely the quality was not up to their usual. The staff was the bright point of the stay.

I wanted to give an update. Marriott was apologetic and made it a bit more palatable.

Pleasant enough city centre hotel within walking distance of main shopping areas. Decent pool with friendly staff. Would have been nice to have had a fridge in the room but otherwise an OK chain hotel.

Booked the Marriot for our wedding anniversary, the staff couldn't have been any nicer & the hotel is set out very well with covid-19 protocols. Personally I think the hotel needs some updating, the decor is very dated. The room was average sized with 2 double beds. The biggest thing that let the hotel down was breakfast. Due to Covid-19 your contenential breakfast is brought to your table. We ordered what we wanted and 45 minutes later we still hadn't received this, meanwhile we had stood in the que for 15minutes for our hot food & finished it. In the end we left without anything to drink due to nothing arriving at our table. The staff where rushed off their feet with a full dining room there where only 3 members of staff which I think was shocking. Unfortunately I don't think i would return to the marriot glasgow for another stay.

Excellent venue for a Burn's Supper. Handily situated adjacent to Anderston Train Station and on a bus route. The entrance is wheelchair accessible and accessible toilets are available. A large bar area adjacent to the function room with plenty of staff on duty. The surroundings are first class and the meal and service was first class. Prices of drinks on a par with other similar establishments. The venue and staff made this an evening to remember.

I took some swimming classes with Sandra Swimming School at Marriott Leisure Center. Changing room is good sized, clean toilets and bath. Facilities include swim suit dryer, hair dryers, digital locks, drinking water tap with disposable cups. Pool is good sized and water isn't too cold.
Sandra is a fantastic Instructor! Reception staff is friendly and helpful.
Free parking included with lessons!

Note: this review does not in any way concern the staff, who has been nothing but great.

For those born before the 90s, the Marriott is a name associated with high end hotels. Unfortunately, many of the Marriott hotels seem to have remained stuck in the 80s and 90s. Glasgow makes no exception: the structure is rather run down, the windows are thin and the nearby motorway very noisy. The bed is okay, but the pillows awful. True to their US ownership, the internet is not free, unless you sign up for their silly membership scheme. No power plugs near the bedside table. The restaurant is overpriced and not very good. The meeting rooms either freezing or too warm.
Pros: very close to Glasgow Central, good breakfast buffet, well equipped gym, the bar has a lot of good whisky and a knowledgeable bartender. Taxis always available in front of the hotel.

Sadly there was a succession of drunken people who kept us awake all night and on both nights of our stay. Loud music until after 2.00am. I will not be returning to this hotel. I gave one star as there was no scope for zero star.

Great service. Really friendly staff who are very helpful and welcoming. Check in, breakfast and check out are all very efficient. If the decor was a bit more up to date (feels very tired currently), would be 5 star.

Pretty standard Marriott hotel. Rooms and bathroom are not small, large TV, room safe, but no fridge. Restaurant is not cheap and feed is average. Staff very helpful. Location is just off the motorway junction and easy 5 minute walk from the town centre and central station.

Stayed here on a trip for work and was extremely comfortable. Room was nice with a huge TV, bar is very nice and not ridiculously expensive (for a city). Within walking distance to some good restaurants, we visited the Thai Orchid and Piccolo Mondo which were both really nice, I was very surprised the Thai Orchid wasn't packed out on a Friday night so I was't expecting it to be good, luckily we were pleasantly surprised. I would recommend this hotel

The staff were incredibly freindly on arrival. The room was clean and comfortable, with all basic amenities working as expected. The shower worked well, which is always a cheeky bonus. The gym facility was great and had lots of varied equipment. I didn't use the bar, but the breakfast was Brill.

Attended corporate day conference. Not happy about disabled access to hotel. With limited mobility I contacted the hotel in advance but they would not reserve a disabled space in advance. Fair enough they offered to pay for my parking but I had to park round rear of building as the closest available space and with difficulty walk round to nearest hotel access door just past swimming pool. I had to negotiate outdoor flight of steps to be met with even more steps once inside on way to reception.

Perhaps it's easier if you access from front of building but that's an even longer walk!!

Marriott you need to really need to work on disabled access to the hotel.

Based on that experience I would not recommend the hotel if you are someone with limited mobility.

Good size room, can not hear the motorway even though it's directly next to the hotel. Good access to east part of the city centre. Food in restaurant is average but is expensive. There are better hotels in the same area to stay at.

I was only here with my baby to get a feed from her mum, who was at a private event. But I was offered lunch, and a cuppa all for free. Very friendly staff on the front desk who spoke to baby for a while too.

The reception and dining/bar area are nice and spacious, the staff courteous and attentive. The rooms are basic and comfortable.

What let's the rating down is the food. It is clear that the budget has been cut and quality of food is very basic for the price you pay. The food is that of a basic home cooked effort with poor quality ingredients to bulk out the stuff that really matters, not that of a a professional cook/chef.

Breakfast not much better either I'm afraid.

However, this is a personal opinion but one seemed to be shared by other guests we shared taxis with.

Will probably choose elsewhere to stay next time.
