Standing outside in line in the cold for twenty minutes, waiting to get through the security check was dreadful. Me and my guest couldn't see the stage due to all the people standing for most of the show, we had main floor seats. The music from Maze was great and the O'Jays were excellent.

TERRIBLE CONCERT. THEY NEED TO GIVE OUR MONEY BACK THE REST FOR THE FUTURE OF THEIR HOME.

Was here for an FRC competition. Venue staff were polite and helpful and the arena worked well for the competition. Security was painful because of the unique circumstances with the competition. If they could find a better place to keep teams that have gone through security before the stands open, that would be helpful.

Plenty of seating. I was there for a graduation and there was a lot of room left over. Although none of the concessions were open for food or water or anything.

None of the stairwells had hand railings. That is a huge safety hazard, and I saw a lot of older people struggling to get up and down the stairs.

Overall it was decent, and the parking wasn't bad either.

Love that our church has been able to grow using uic over the years but the way we are treated not by staff but management is sad. Coming to church like we are going through the airport is a bit much.

Went here for a concert the other night. The staff were very nice and they kept things pretty together(lines and such). Concessions were crazy expensive ($5 for a regular water) but I guess that's to be expected. All in all an awesome night made possible by a lot of hard working people :)

It's listed as a 9500 seat arena. That's 4250 regular sized seats, just fyi. I'm a 5'10" guy - 170 lbs and I couldn't comfortably fit in these seats. Luckily, I was sitting inbetween members of my family or I would've been in constant contact with strangers. I was surprised how skinny the seats were.

Also, they're not comfortable!

I was expecting a lot better from this visit (concert). First you are forced to stand out in the elements while waiting to get thru the doors to be screened (metal detector). Trying to go inside of actual venue requires walking down uneven concrete stairs without any handrails. I actually witnessed a man fall down the stairs. The jumbotron screens (2 of them) did not project the concert, it only had graphics and pictures showing. So anyone with bad seats did not 'see' the concert. The one good thing was the acoustics-great sound. I will not attend another concert at this venue.

Ok

Garbage venue with ridiculous bag requirements that are not advertised when you buy your overpriced ticket. Their idea of a bag check was literally to tell us to put our bag in the bushes outside. You ll have spent your money more meaningfully by throwing it directly into the lake instead of trying to see a show here.

I've been coming here mainly for our universities commencement ceremony for the past few years. Always clean... this year they had metal detectors... last year this wasn't available. I understand the need for security these days.

I was there yesterday for our ceremony with our students. I work for the university and we travel over an hour <esp with the crazy Chicago traffic >; I asked a question regarding the entrance that our team was using to come on & out while getting our students ready to graduate. An overzealous young man who worked with security had the nerve to say that I couldn't come in & out. I looked at him with a puzzled look on my face and asked what do you mean? I'm working for the university that is running this ceremony today. I have to come in & out. He then said, I understand you're upset. I asked, where or what led you to believe that I am upset? Obviously a canned response that he couldn't of been sure when to use this statement?

Needless to say, I did come in & out. I talked to his superior Tony who informed me that since I'm staff this doesn't apply to us. When I did go in & exited the bldg he told all the staff that she can come in & out as much as she wants. I tried not to laugh as I looked in the employee's face. I smiled & walked out after a little time passed, I didn't see that young man anymore. He tried to make my experience there a bad one. I turned that around real QUICK! Other than that episode, the rest of the staff and the auditorium were on point.

Ill be back again and next time for a concert. Beautiful auditorium!!

I was there for 3 days with my community based robotics team competing at the FIRST Robotics Competition. The staff was friendly and accommodating with this non-traditional event. In fact, this was one of the more pleasant experience we have had with the staff since 2006!
