Excellent location and renovation! Has nice teaching materials for cinematography. Querky bar/shop for pre film snacks. Great job folks.

A great place, not just for Art House movies but for its nice cafe in the middle of town. I always go in when I'm there. Nicest place to have lunch in Newcastle, IMHO.

Very well located, right in the heart of the city center. The room accents that I entered are really comfortable! Easy access, get off at Monument Station.

Nice coffee, but it doesn't have the ambience it used to have.

Films come here you don't see on general release. Great art decor coffee rooms. Pleasant bars for a quiet talk.

Visit here regularly for a cuppa . either sit outside or upstairs.A lovely peaceful place to chill.Food very reasonable. Staff always pleasant.

Always showing a good selection of films from independents to major releases. Great setting. Preferred the old layout with the bar/cafe on the third floor, but it's good to see the Tyneside get an on-street presence with the new one.

The seats are very comfortable and you have a lot of leg room.

Small independent cinema in Newcastle, tends to show arthouse and foreign movies with the odd blockbuster thrown in. Staff have always been lovely too

Very pleasant surroundings , good choice of films . Only drawback is bar area a bit too populated by the would be hip squad .

It s a Newcastle institution. Absolutely adorable. So classy. Comfortable. Inexpensive. Fab food and drink. I keep going back. Aeronauts is a must watch film?

Much prefer to give my money to a cinema like this; classy place, awesome staff and the addition of the bar cafe is a winner.

Great food, decent selection of drinks. Chilled out and friendly staff. Not the cheapest place for drinks but not too expensive either

High quality 'cinema the way it's meant to be done' for film aficionados or anyone who wants to make their cinema trip a fancy night out.

You must try the nachos, they're a bit different than other places! Oh and in the winter they have really good hot drinks!

Beautiful screens and great movies for great prices

Great venue, slightly pricey (great student prices though) but you pay for a more comfortable experience.

My favourite place in the North East. Great food and atmosphere, and love a cheeky cult classic in the cafe on a Monday night.

Cool cinema, I liked the screen and the vibe. I didn't think the seats were very comfy and the food was well over price but overall a very good cinema.

I love this place and it should be supported by anyone who loves cinema and wants to see the diverse range shown here

Great place. A movie going experience where you are treat like an human rather than a sheep. Nice place to eat. Good coffee shop. Nice bar. A great selection of other activities to compliment the movies

The cinema was very comfortable, infact i fell asleep halfway through the film (The Lion King 2019) i would of gave 5 stars if it weren't for the price of the drinks & snacks although all cinemas are expensive. I would definitely go again.

The Tyneside is a cultural gem of Newcastle and well worth a visit. Either for a film or just to eat and hang out.

One of my favourite places in Newcastle, the Tyneside Coffee Rooms on the 2nd floor of Tyneside Cinema is the perfect place to meet friends for a cuppa, have a relaxed dinner after work, a glass of wine before the cinema... What marks it out is its great service, cosy interior design, variety of people and its relaxed atmosphere. Highly recommended!

A great independant cinema with a lovely cafe which is a venue in itself. They put on art house type movies as well as things films that have played at the chain cinemas, only a few weeks or even years later so its a good place to come to see somemething you missed when it first came out.

Great cinema and place for a drink. But they should really clean the toilet hourly for the price you pay.

An arts cinema that's a great local resource and goes out of its way to make world cinema accessible. Worth a visit for its many attractions but also it must have the only pavement cafe where people sit outside in just a shirt or blouse while it's blowing a blizzard. That's Newcastle!
