We went for high tea. We have been to a few Cape Town hotels for high tea and this was the worst by far. The sandwiches were really poor and the quality was not of a standard worthy of the cost. Probably better buying some snacks from Spar and sitting in green point park. You will be much happier.

One of the best hotels in Cape Town, South Africa, Azure Restaurant their fine dining is beautiful, I love their decor , food and service is excellent. I feel at home every time I am around it. The Leopard Bar is stunning, their sunset is to die for.

The welcome from the person at the door and reception was so unfriendly and unwelcoming. We were meeting friends staying there for breakfast and it was like a military operation. AND For th money you spend on an average breakfast AND TERRIBLE service 30 mins for breakfast to arrive and 15 mins before the order was taken is shocking !!!!!!

An award-winning five star hotel. As you drive in, you're welcomed by the AFRICA's stunning natural surroundings. This is a story about our beautiful continent. You can expect rum tasting in the winter season. You just have to try MountGay rum. It's something else.

We enjoyed their dinner and movie package. We could choose between a few movies as we where the only one's using the cinema at that time. The service all through the hotel is top class and the food was amazing! We also enjoyed the live music at their bar while snacking on a small platter they set out. Breakfast was a treat we had Mimosas and oysters, cold meats and cheeses, fresh fruit and we also chose a small hot breakfast. Best eggs benedict I have ever had. The nougat we received on departure was so nice that my boyfriend even gave me his :) We will definitely return. This time with our swimming costumes so we can make use of their spa facilities ( this was included in our dinner - movie package ) Lovely place with great views.

Absolutely shocking staff.

Absolutely shocking staff.

My mother and my sister went for a spa treatment, which isn't cheap. Was told upon booking that they could use all facilities. They wanted to have a swim in the pool with some cocktails (after spending quite a sum on the balcony for food and drinks. They were turned away as it was apparently just for hotel guests. There wasnt anyone in the pool. No apologies, no remorse. Do not go here unless you feel like being shouted at by staff after spending thousands.

From the fantastic welcome and early check in to the beautifully appointed rooms, lovely staff and fantastic food, this is up with the best of hotels anywhere. A little road noise but this is off set by the view and we were lucky enough to see several whales basking pretty close in the bay. What's not to like.

Wow. Celebrated our first anniversary here and everything from booking to post-stay queries were handled with the utmost class and efficiency. We were bumped up to a suite at no extra charge, as it was our anniversary and the surprises and spoils didn t stop coming until we checked out! Going the extra mile seems to be business as usual for this establishment. The reservations manager interacted so wonderfully with everyone, making us all feel so valued. I even received a hand-written card from the hotel manager as well as complimentary bubbles. And on top of all that, we were surrounded by sumptuously decorated locales and that view!!!!! Take me back!!!! Now!!!

We spent our honeymoon there in Nov and it was too far from town and even the Camps Bay Beach where all the restaurants are. Its isolated, in a town called Oudekral near Hout Bay NOT in Camps Bay or Cape Town. Its tired, the spa is in need of overhaul, bad service and food in the restaurant. Cocktails were good in the bar but that is about it. We found a rip in the sheet on our bed. The staff do not even understand what is on the menu they are serving. This hotel was so expensive. There are much better value places in Cape Town and they are actually where people want to be. This hotel is on a busy highway where there is traffic and truck noise all day and night. Its between the hotel and the sea something one doesnt see on the photos which have evidently been photoshopped. My wife and I were so disappointed. Even bottled orange juice at breakfast for this so called 5 star hotel. We stayed out in the winelands which made up for this bad choice. Driving in the dark down the windy coastal road after dining was no fun. We used a taxi another time which was a story all of its own. Never again! Try the One and ONly in Cape Town at the Vand A or the Bay Hotel which is really in Camps Bay not Oudukral.

Beautiful hotel with luxury accommodation with a fine dining restaurant and a lunchtime grill cafe. A lovely spa with friendly and helpful staff and surrounded at the back with mountains and beach frontviews. A must see.
