Went there this afternoon for sundowners for a friend's birthday celebration. Food and cocktails were great!

For all intents and purposes, the 12A should be getting a 5 rating; but it scores a 4 and half. So let's discuss it a bit.

The views overlooking the ocean, the table mountain reserve, that being the "12 apostles" are simply phenomenal; unrivaled some may say.

However, the rooms aren't "equal" in setting. The Lion's Head wing far outshines the central building. The rooms have a better view, and a more quiet than the central which overlook the restaurant. The rooms (sea view suite) are spacious, the bathrooms are spectacular set with marble. A fine selection of tea, coffee and fruit are on offer daily. The turndown service at nights is most welcome. The hotel itself may seem and feel a bit dated, however I tend to assert that the vibe it brings with it, is different and uplifting.

A trip to their spa is simply a must. It's by no means cheap, but spectacular is putting it mildly. Be sure to book on advance as due to its popularity, they are usually booked out.

12A gets a 4.5 star rating due to its lack of attention to service. When comparing hotels in a similar price bracket and stature in CT itself, its competitors have the edge in ensuring that every request is attended to. A bit more attention to this area would truly make this a 5 star institution it deserves to be.

The people that work here are just so friendly and accommodating! And to watch the sunset here with a cocktail was definitely a must do.

Weren't the friendliest considering our company was there to spend a large chunk of change for our end of year function.

One of the best places to see the sunset from! We also popped in for a night cap at about 10pm the other night and the balcony area at the Leopards Bar is a wonderful space from which to watch the moon and do some star gazing. The Irish coffees ain't too shabby either!!

Not worth the price we paid for a 5 star hotel. Check in staff did not attend to us promptly.

Hotel charged us a prebooked dinner to our account even though we called in advance to cancel it; someone ate in our name. We called to rectify this.

The selection at Breakfast was okay, I've had better elsewhere. Ordering menu items is slow.

The place is heaven. Tranquility and peaceful. Beautiful overlooks to the ocean. The smell of the ocean and the sound of the ocean. I ordered their chicken pasta and vodka the food was delicious. Order biltong too. The atmosphere is amazing. Servive 5 star indeed. Friendly and beautiful staff

Was invited for high tea for a friend's birthday. It is expensive but great for a special occasion.

I visited this hotel only once, for high tea with my friends, on Mother's Day. It was a beautiful day. The location of the hotel is amazing, on one side the mountain on the other the ocean. Service was impeccable. High tea comprised of sandwiches, various sweets, coffee and tea, which I must admit they have extraordinary blends. The hotel is impressive in general. I definitely recommend this place for a visit. At least once, to enjoy it like I did.

Loved the experience of the sunset at the balcony of the Leppard Lounge. Excited that the Hotel is dog friendly. We loved it as well as our bug Black Russian Terrier Sergei.

The Gin and canape experience was quite an experience! Gin and food was amazing.

Superb bar with a breathtaking view. The cocktails were fantastic, and the staff were very helpful. I'd highly recommend anyone in the area to drop in for drinks to watch the sunset.

This was next level luxury and pampering. We had a High Tea at the 12 Apostles hotel for my mom's 80th birthday. The staff went out of their way to make it a memorable occasion. I highly recommend this hotel for a special event.

The entrance for vechiles to the hotel is a bit tricky. Please inform the hotel if you vehicle is higher that 2m for alternative parking.

My guilty pleasure is going to a spa often I ve been to most of the ones in Cape Town all very nice but the girls at the 12 apostles make you feel so special nothing is to much trouble and the treatments hmmm leave floating the rest of the day, that s why the 12 Apostles is the only one for me

Very beautifully situated. The atmosphere for supper was too stiff though and the bed uncomfortable.

Exceptional service with personal one on one service (Thank you Robin for the professional introduction on arrival). The management team and staff are all customer focused. The food, cocktails, Spa and Gin experience must be enjoyed by everyone visiting this landmark. Cant wait to go back!

The spa goes into great detail to know your requirements and preferences. Do use the rock pool.
Best sommelier I have met thus far- his palate imagines flavour combinations I would never have dreamt of.
The sunset view is one of the best I have seen.
Overall wonderful experience - probably the best stop on our honeymoon.

One of the best spots for a sundowner in Cape Town. A touch on the pricey side but thats what you would expect from this type of establishment.

Service and personnel and view outshined the food. Expected much much more. Had beter food at a steakhouse. But personnel was a highlight. Such professionalism such proudness and love for their work. Amazing.

Awesome setting but little parking... Very expensive.

We had a Superior Seaview room. That was fine, with salon and good bed, spacious bathroom, nothing to complain about. Welcome was ready, friendly welcome. Chambermaids and table service fine. Prime location, close to Cape Town. However, the photos do not show that it is located on a busy track, which use motorbikes as a racing track. Our room also looked out onto the parking lot, where people arrive and leave until late. Relaxing at the swimming pool, bar or private terrace is not an option, not to mention the nights! Single glass does not stop anything. The spa is to get claustrophobia, so didn't use it. Ultimately a waste of money ...
