I have never been to this hotel but always hear great thinhs about it. Im writing this review about two guests booked in this hotel, husband and wife,Betty and Dave.. They were sent by one of the 12 appstle employees to come dine at Bocca resturant. As much as they enjoy my service as their waiter ,i enjoyed their company, jokes and warmth. They are very good people and really represented the hotel to bring only great guests. I couldnt take a picture or their number to tell them that they made my shift a memorable one. God bless them.

This review is for the Leopard Lounge, not the accommodation.
I have been here twice for a light breakfast or snack and have thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The patio outside provides exquisite views of the ocean and lions head. Inside the lounge is just as glam and the waiters are decked out to the max. Very elegant and professional yet not snobbish.
They have taken their scones off the menu as a stand alone item but our waiter Ntsiki made a plan for us- and a plan he did! He came out with fresh, warm scones, strawberries, assortment of jams, a mouth watering berry compote and the cream of the crop- a bowl of creamy delectable clotted cream!! It was my first experience with clotted cream and I was not disappointed! What a divine breakfast snack!! We enjoyed this great service while watching the thick mist blanket lions head and seals sunning on the rocks below us. Sublime!

My wife and I had the pleasure of an overnight stay at the 12 A as a gift for our 50th wedding anniversary, and have to say that it was an absolute treat. From the moment we arrived to the time of our departure, we were treated to an unforgettable experience. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay a memorable experience. A big thank you to all!!

Love to take the beautiful drive along the Atlantic coast to this stunning spot. Seven star experience at the Azure restaurant or upstairs in the Leopard bar for high tea. The balconies offer a magnificent view towards Bakoven and Camps Bay

It's very seldom that I give any establishment 5 stars . We are regular customers of the hotel when we are able to take a break from the hectic work life .

Upon finding out that we are expecting our first child the hotel and staff absolutely blew us away with their attention to detail and perfect extra touches that will definitely keep us coming back time and time again . Outstanding

Had our wedding there and have to commend Stephanie for doing an amazing job as our wedding coordinator. She really went all out to make our day go by smoothly and was always available for us to chat about things. I do not think we could of done it if it was not for her and her team.

Incredible service, great selection of drinks ranging from sugar-free cocktails to top shelf spirits! In addition to that, just to top it off, if you go to the Leopard Bar, you can experience the Cape-Tonian Sunset in all its glory, whilst enjoying a drink and incredible (and not to mention, complimentary) bar snacks - definitely a must if you re in Cape Town

I've been here quite a few times, but everytime it still feel like my first visit. Warm and friendly staff really make a difference and that's what i always experience when i come here. The restaurant is definitely one of my highlights, because the food is absolutely top notch! No complaints from this side, only compliments and more compliments. Keep up the good work.

The hotel is quite nice in general. The location is very calm and beautiful as well as not too far from main Cape Town (10 minute drive or shuttle). The breakfast was amazing, other meals were good as well. Main restaurant was nice and the people there were also nice, but service was slooooow (like they forgot about us). I would have rated this much higher but I had around $400 US cash stolen from my safe (I was in a rush early in the morning and forgot to lock it). The staff was kind and cordial, they had me fill out an investigation form. The manager took off on a vacation, no one followed up with me. I called twice and still no follow-up, didn't even receive an emailed invoice despite multiple requests. Finally I was called back and they said that their investigation found nothing and that they couldn't do anything. They could have given me a credit on my room bill, but I wasn't offered anything, likely because they know they didn't have to (I'm from Canada with no recourse). I found this part of the stay very unprofessional, they could have wowed me and made it a 5 star review but chose not to.

The 12 apostles hotel is a fantastic hotel, i got married here in 2004 and stayed at the hotel in the presidential suite, the grounds are spectacular the service is fantastic and the pools are beautiful. Sitting on the balcony at the bar and overlooking the bay is the best way to spend an afternoon. Beautiful african art all over.

Bucket list event. Took myself and my two well behaved dogs off to the leopard lounge one wintry morning. They had blankets and pillows and water out for the dogs which is always a good thing for me. I had the cranberry tea and waited for the goodies. They arrived on a three tiered tray containing amongst other offerings scones macaroons pecan nut tarts and salmon sandwiches. I found the other sweets a bit too sweet and very mundane. The chocolate brownie was ok. The same for the cheesecake. There was one little baked goodie that had no flavor at all!! The cucumber looked a bit wilted as well. At least the view is great and the chairs comfy

Vegan high tea at 12 apostles hotel

Vegan high tea at 12 apostles hotel

Read a few reviews prior to going so I had a reasonable idea what to expect

For 325 you get unlimited teas and coffees plus a three layer platter

The tea selection was good..I had the Darjeeling ( a smooth Black tea) really good

The lemon tea ( also black ..) good

The oolong( Chinese jasmine bloom etc)..okay

The cranberry infusion with ice( the best non alcoholic drink I've had)

And an Americano..made milder as requested

You can taste a little and discard

It helps to have a neutral tea with the sweets

And the food..

Split into three sections savoury ....sweet ..and scones.

The scones were light and tasty..a regular scone..a chocolate one and another one.

Comes with jam and coconut icecream

The savoury was a little disappointing

A sandwich with a big slice of tomato and pepperdew humus..ok..nothing special

A wrap with peppers ..okayish..

A sandwich with tofu egg .. good

Another one with eggplant..ok

So maybe some spicy and other filing are needed here..

The sweet selection was good..

An oat date choc cookie

A banana almond bread

Chocolate mousse

Peanut choc cluster

No complaints there..

Overall a good experience..go hungry and indulge .
Lovely views ..need to book in advance especially heading into summer

Service was a little slow but good overall.

Problem is that the waiters make drinks at the bar as well.

So order drinks regularly..

Whatever I paid for it certainly didn't include much in the way of service. The furniture in the leopard lounge was well worn and frankly felt grubby when I was there. Fortunately I was only there for high tea, next time I'll know better and stay on the other side of the mountain.

My husband became very sick after we eat there. He had Dorado fish of the day. He said it had a very salty taste, so much so that on our way back home he became nausia and started to vomet several times. At home the vomiting continued. The fish was vrot. I paid R205 for that. Sorry never again. My wife and our friend was fine. They did not have the same dish.
