The last time I posted something I unfortunately didn't have a very positive review because of a bad experience but guess where I'm sitting right now? In my beautiful hotel room in the Southern Sun Silverstar Casino. My previous bad experience was caused by unruly hotel guests but my husband has kept coming back here once a year and this year I decided to join him on his trip to Johannesburg. We have the most gorgeous room, the water fountains outside make the most lovely background noise. Because my husband has been coming back so often I noticed that a few of the hotel staff were eager to welcome him back and immediately recognized him. They were and are so polite and friendly. This is truly a different experience than my last experience staying here and I have a different perspective of the whole place. This time I've been able to take in the beauty of my surroundings and everything within the hotel that makes it so unique. Love it!

Amazing how such a quiet hotel can afford not to answer telephone lines !

Tried to call , asked for room no to be connected with with the no and everything ! she asked me Wich department ???? How do you mean you are the hotel , was put on hold again ...
Centre quiet , casino quiet , well done to the goverment for allowing us to employ unqualified people .. not studied sufficiently for this , the entertainment industry should be about personalities and welcoming people and asking questions etc ... huge noice in one of the rooms Wich they could not find where it came from luckily we found the problem ourselves , told us the fire place doesn t work however we got it to work ourselves , effortless Staff that give up on problems will be your downfall ... so so saddened to see this happening ! People don t run for their clients anymore , so the clients won t come back !
No numbers on the suites either only names Wich is confusing ... Staff sends you to the room no but don t give you the suite name , they don't think it thru ! Just sit and do their job on the surface not with passion or soul ! So so sad !!
Stunning hotel , has everything , however will be run down soon if nothing is done about this !

My family and I enjoyed our time at your Casino. It was a wonderful experience.

Spent the Friday night there before I had major surgery the next Wednesday. Rooms are very nice and it was a great distraction. Only issue was the guests in the room above us were very loud and it was a struggle to sleep.

Its a great place for a every one to go and have fun
