The experience was unique and the cool factor was through the roof. Intricate steampunk decor and attention to detail even in the restrooms. No sugar required.

Crowded, weird and I didn't like much , but the service is quick and the food is acceptable but expensive compared to places much better than this

This is an amazing shop, both for its thematic approach to coffee as well as its attention to detail. I tried flat whites all over town (the signature of Truth) and found none that rivaled! Try the pork belly for breakfast, and stay to watch the coffee dispenser!

What a cool place with great vibe - the best coffee ever and dont even talk about their almond and chocolate croisants...... such an interesting place - loved it and go back everytime I visit Cape Town

When you have the reputation as being the best Coffee Shop in town, you have a lot to live up to. Truth did not disappoint. What a place. JUST GO.

Service was fast, efficient, professional n friendly. The themed interior was beautifully decorated, incl the staff dress code. The food (poached eggs with salmon on toasted sourdough bread) was well presented n exactly to order. The coffee was devine. Food was lukewarm on presentation n that was the only criticism. The surprise breakfast spoil by hubby was a real treat. It was an experience to feed all my senses.

Best coffee I've ever had....period!! Hands down my favourite coffee shop. Everything from the music, the waiters, the vibe, the enthusiasm is electrical here!! Black honey for the win! Also perfectly baked croissant!!

An incredible coffee experience, with aesthetics and quality blended coffee ever present from entrance into the premisis. As a coffee drinker and hobbyist, I highly recommend Truth for those who desire good company, vibes and atmosphere.

Every time I go I think it couldn't possibly be more disappointing than the last, and yet it always is. Slow service, usually incorrect too, awful food.

Now to complete the review I do it in English. Woah! This place is unique! I love the steampunk clothes that the staff wear! I love the atmosphere of this place, I love the wonderful gridded coffee they serve and make themselves! So rare to find an great Expresso like the one they serve!

Place is well decorated but lightning and air conditioning was not enough. It was too crowded and they took us another place that is behind the bar it was like storage without windows that was not really nice. Coffee is good but there are better places for breakfast.

The ambience was lovely. The decor really got me excited. The waitrons attire was so unique. The waiter we got was a bit to relaxed and would have conversations with other waiters while dealing with us. That was the down side of our experience. The food was great and it is truely value for money. I hope to visit soon.

Truth Coffee is internationally recognised as one of the best places to grab a coffee in the world.

Its steam punk architecture and period dressed wait staff give this coffee shop a unique vibe that you won't find anywhere else in South Africa.

Had a lovely coffee and avocado on toast this morning. Very decent serving, quite large for one person. Vibe & decor outstanding.

It's easy to find, it's pleasant, the atmosphere is nice and the coffee tastes good! The staff are friendly. It is crowded and noisy with many tourists. It's vibrant.

Big variety of coffees and an extremely nice and detailed Steampunk decoration. Even the waiters/waitresses are dressed accordingly. My favorite piece is the little zeppelin. Their taste in music is - of course - very fitting, mostly electric swing.
If you have some space in your stomach, try the sweets (like the caramel cheese cake). Those are served in an unusual manner.
I just wish they were open at evenings as well, i would love to see what they would do for steamy cocktail hours.
Oh and definitely i wish they had more steampunky merchandise for me to take home. The selfmade leather steampunk fascinators/mini hats are a good start. :)

Overall good coffee and staff although the waiting time was a bit long. We ordered a long black, cold brew (delicious), Breakfast burrito with avocado and Eggs Benedict (Not good). All for 315 ZAR.

They have caffeine that touches the soul. I like the ambience and how excited the staff become when you ask them for recommendations.
The menu is confusing but once you figure it out, it's fine. Please make another branch or like a small coffee stand in the Southern Suburbs. I need this coffee in my life every morning.

Expected more, coffee was good but being voted best coffee in the world you expect more. Saying that it is a limited menu due to the current circumstances, would much rather have a sit down lunch and coffee there when back to normal. Inside looks great

We all wNt the truth. Grab a cup of truth made with extra caution. No sugar required. The new black honey blend is also a big shift, but loving it. A must see and stop. Also good for a quick take away.

What an amazing experience. The food was extraordinary. Gourmet dinning. The service was impeccable. A lovely lady Lynne served us and she was attentive and engaging. The gentlemen who welcomed us at the door and helped us get out uber was friendly and very sweet. What a triumph.

When I ordered a decaf coffee at Truth the other day, the waitress asked me exactly this (with a smirk on her face, and a dash of sarcasm in her voice):

"Why would you do that?"

I answered, "coz I like it."

Now I enjoy my coffee somewhere else; luckily Cape Town has a wide variety of coffee vendors to choose from. Still disappointed though.
