Love this place! Bed so comfy and buffet was delish!!! Crab legs
The Tropicana I stayed because I had 3 nights for free but the rooms weren't that great. Our AC didn't work, they only gave us 2 towels and we were a family of 4, no coffee pot in the room, and apparently they have bed bugs which is a little disturbing to me. The casino wasn't that busy which is good on our part because of the whole covid going on. I can't say I ate any food places inside here so i can't judge them but it was my first time staying here and I'm not sure if I'll give it a second chance or not we shall see.
Fast easy checking, room is very nice. We booked the king suite with jacuzzi tub. Room was clean and met our expectations.
Hostess of the year Tracy Crockett makes the Trop a great place to stay. Excellent music, good food and drinks.
This is always a great place to stay. Gaming is tight but fun none the less
My favorite Laughlin hotel. Prefer staying in adult tower.
Went in for donuts and out within fifteen minutes with money. Oh I stopped at my favorite machine. I would say you win 50/50.
I really enjoyed my self slot friendly the food is also good
Super fun. The live music was good. And the food was awesome
It's nice to let go, hang out, play, listen to live music And close to other places here to easily walk to other casinos or food places.
Fun place, lots to do there! People where helpful and friendly! Prices not to bad either!
Tip look down from hotel elevator windows or rooms in towers facing toward pool, and you see the pool is the shape of a railroad engine. It used to be called railroad station casino & hotel, and even had it's own rail station around the casino. Looks like they have a lot of activities, planned, and great dining options. Looks like a great two lobster dinner deal, on the resort.
The brunch buffet isn't too bad for the price.. even had prime rib. Stay away from the Cook's champagne though, it's awful, ruined our Orange juice!
The room didn't have lights, one soap for washing your hands & showering, no iron, for me that's a basic necessity. I asked for a lamp, someone dropped it off at the door and said to me- " I hope it works "-.
Very nice place but definitely more adult-oriented but I enjoyed my time there also good restaurants staff seem to be friendly good time was had enjoy
Atmosphere and employees are pleasant and helpful and happy
Great casino and hotel, I've been staying here for years. Love the the serve and the friendly and helpful workers.
The rooms were dirty. Rusty vents. Elevators were either broken or very loud. It took almost 20 minutes to get an elevator to leave. They permanently closed the buffet.
Did not go inside as the exhibit was outside. Visited the Vietnam Veterans Wall in parking lot.. very moving
Had very easy access to the rooms from the garage, very clean and good customer service... Fast at getting rooms.. the rooms were clean and didn't smell
Very nice place to go. Had a blast and great casino. I wished the room we had was a little more updated. Ild carpet and old furnashings.
Went there for the Sunday brunch buffet at 17 dolls and it really is a great and decent buffet, I really like it. It has variety of foods and with good flavors. Also stay for the casino and has a lot of different machines and even a no smoking machines area
Quiet room. Comfortable bed. Would've been nice to have a mini fridge and microwave in the room. No clock.
Like to gamble there.but there is on really nasty waitress there..tried to ask 4 help 4 her to change..did no good.waste of time..to bad 4 her very poor attitude
I'm here for three nights I wish they had a refrigerator in the room but the room was clean and everyone has been very nice
The rooms were very out dated, the gambling was horrible and the overall vibe here was lacking energy by not only the staff but even the quests seemed frustrated. We booked our room for one price and when we went to register we were told that we didn't include two children, which we clearly did on our confirmation email and were charged and additional $164. The restaurants were very overpriced, and the pool was disgusting.
The hotel overall was okay. Booked the weekend last minute and the hotel had plenty of rooms available. Can't really beat the price. Does have some restaurants including a dinner type place thats good for mediocre breakfast, poolside cafe, ice cream shop & steak house. Variety of slot machines, poker tables, blackjack & craps. Regular drink service when playing games but seemed very short staffed so the cocktail waitresses are just short & inviting. Pool closes at 9pm or 11pm for adults, unfortunately there is not really a divider from the pool & the adult spa so kids were alway coming in. The rooms are okay, super basic, no comforter on bed(s), no refrigerator in the room (there is a waitlist for that), floorimg needs updated. We also booked a non smoking kind bed room with a "view" and yet it was a double room with a partial view of the main building and river. AC thermostat is ancient and there is no way to keep the room consistent. Either freezing or hot. AC system also knocked the entire night, mixed with an overly firm bed doesn't make for a good nights rest. Gave 3 stars only because price point was good and the steak place inside.
Really enjoyed our stay thank you for the free nights
Had our 10 year highschool reunion here and the service was great.
I enjoy going to the Tropicana but I wish that you would give a little more free play . We have not had any for the last couple of months.
The Tropicana is a nice hotel. Our room was in the Promenade tower 10th floor pool view. The quickest way to get to it is through the parking structure or by the pool entrance. But it is always nice to walk through the casino floor and enjoy the cool A/C. There are plenty of elevators and they are quick to take you to your floor.
The Room:
There is no mini fridge in case you are wondering. The room was clean and smelled clean, you know sometimes there are those rooms that smell damp. The television was a small 32" screen, a bigger television would of been nice. The room did include an iron but no ironing board, it was missing. I usually bring my own iron but this time I forgot it so I used the hotel iron and it worked like it was supposed to it just took a few minutes to really get the steam going. The little table in the corner was my ironing board.
Also included in the room is a 1 cup coffee maker, 2 packs of coffee in a pouch, 2 packs of sugar/sweetner/creamer/stir sticks. I am a big coffee drinker I love a cup of coffee in the morning. But upon inspection of the inside of the coffee maker it was dirty and a bit dusty where the water goes(see picture). I cleaned it out and bought my own instant coffee. I just used the coffee maker to get hot water. The coffee provided was weak.
Room Service:
Typical room service. They make your bed, vacuum the floor, clean the bathroom. We usually use the same towels during our stay. But room service gave us clean towels every day during our 3 day getaway.
Food:
There are plenty of choices from. There is an iItalian restaurant, a stakehouse, pool side cafe, hot dog stand by the pool also, another cafe serving american food, and of course the buffet. The buffet is not pricey at all. One thing I wish they had for the breakfast buffet is an omelette station. We only tried the buffet at the Tropicana so not much to say about the rest of the food choices.
The Pool:
If you go down to the pool before 3pm get there early to get chairs and an umbrella. There are only 5 or 6 umbrellas and not much shade. After 3pm the Promenade tower provides shade. No coolers are allowed. You can take your alcohol just don't make it obvious hide it some (example: buy coke bottle take a sip replace what you drank with jack or water bottles use empty ones and pour ready to drink jose cuervo margarita mix looks like lemonade) Or you can purchase drinks from the poolside bar.
Casino: If you win more than what you put in cash out, take your winnings.
Hope this helps.
Nice pool and hot tub. Good food choices. Italian place is very good for the price.
Crappy old room for way too much $$ very disappointed.
Always have a good time here, just wish the machines were looser!
Very nice room, comfy bed. Great location. Excellent value! Would return and reccomend.
Dirty rooms, sportsbook is pretty much non existent and no poker room. Positives are the staff are freindly and prices cheap.
Okay rooms, great rates. Gambling is good if you're into that. Cigarette smoke is a big problem though.
Had a good dinner at the Carnegie cafe, then a little gaming, and a fun night out
I really liked several things and did not like some things. First our check in was fabulous. The employee was just amazing and so accommodating and went out of her way to make me comfortable. Second I thought the place was clean and just a real pleasant atmosphere. Our bell hop was also very very nice. I also liked the players card and the benefits associated with it. There also was one restaurant that was good if was the cafe one and it had the overall best food and service. Also our cleaning lady was so nice and very accomodating. Now what was not so good was the cocktail service in the morning to mid afternoon. Idk if they were short staffed but literally I never was offered nor did I see any. Second the entertainment could be better, to draw in a better livelier crowd. And last the toilets my goodness so so low you literally could not get off of it without assistance. Oh the strawberry margarita is just amazing. So overall liked it but please raise the toilets.
Service was fine, building and elevators were old. Obviously just a repurposed other hotel.
Nice place . Did not stay there but had alot6of fun playing some game there. I won some $'s.
Tropicana Hotel and Casino in Laughlin Nevada has improved since the last time my husband and I visited. Free Free Free giveaway promotions, like a cool name brand jacket my husband and I received, three nights free stay, two 2 for 1 buffets, bingo promo, and a lot more awesome promotions. Great job Tropicana on stepping up your game.
We enjoyed spending time at your place. The only problem we had was, you offer a bagel and coffee, but when we got in they said it was not valeid. That's miss leading.
Over all it was good ! Until I was assaulted in the hallway by another guest at the hotel. Nevada cops are stereotypical... They love to stereotype people and don't properly investigate incidents , don't expect n e proper conduct from an officer during the holidays....they love to give tickets but won't protect you
I can't stand the smell of second hand smoke in casino.
This place has super cheap rooms during the week...we have gotten them fir as low as $16 fir two nights two ppl two beds two small service dogs...but there are no refridgerators or miceowaves in the rooms & ive never won anything in their casino. They have smoking rooms which is nice & a great pool area with two hot tubs. Great view feom the 26th floor!
$150 for a regular run of the mill room. It was clean, but nothing to write home about. Could have used a mini fridge.
Slots are so tight, I couldn't even get anything to play. I used to love this place years ago, not so much anymore. I played their bingo just to waste time. The buffet was closed.
First time in this hotel, it was not what I expected but it was not so bad
First night the power went out for 3 hours , the beds are old just like the pillows need to change!
