Had to visit the ER because I was nursing my newborn and I had a virus. (Yes I can still nurse even with a virus) So I wasn t unable to keep fluids in my system plus also nursing a baby I was extremely dehydrated. I was checked in and give fluids. Everyone was very pleasant. Thanks to all the folks for helping me feel better. Nurses and medical staff have a tough job. They get blamed for things out of their control. I m glad I have somewhere to go in the event of a medical emergency.

I would have given zero stars. On Jan 10 my wife had a gallbladder surgery performed by an In-Network doctor. A couple of days before the surgery, she went in for a consultation. The front desk advisor told her that if she pays her deductible up front in the amount of $2,700; she would get a 20% discount and everything will be covered at 100%. A few days later we received a call from the hospital that we have to pay $600 for the doctor fees in order to schedule the surgery. My wife told her she advised to pay the entire deductible the day of the surgery. Then she said to go ahead and pay $250 first and we can pay the remaining the day of surgery which we did. The surgery went well we were able to leave the same day. Then 3 months later we received a surprise bill for $8483.07 to find out that the hospital that my In-Network doctor works at was an Out-of-Network hospital. Another $1,200 for doctors fee and $870 for anesthesiologist bill. These are all member pays portion, which means we went from paying our deductible $2,700 to a total expense of $12,000 out of pocket. That's just crazy! Who has that kind of money just sitting around ?!?! I understand the fact that just because we have met our deductible doesn t mean everything is covered 100%. At the same time, do these people have any ethics? They have to check to see if a patient has medical insurance and if it s acceptable and how much is covered but conveniently forget to check if the hospital is In-Network or Out-of-Network. If the doctor performing the surgery is In-Network why would anyone check to see if the hospital is also In-Network? Why would anyone choose to go to the hospital that is Out-of-Network? We weren t given a list of hospitals to choose from. We were SCHEDULED at Stonecrest. How do you charge patient for Out-of-Network service when you re the one that scheduled us? We would have driven to Vanderbilt had we known. The doctors and hospital have bills to pay and they have to make money to stay in business. But to legally rob patients, I m just lost for words. I don t know if any others are experiencing this situation. I hope this will help others to be more cautious. Just like the other reviewer, there should be an investigation into hospital practice. So they can stop sticking people with these outrageous bills.

Originally rated a 4 star, now a 1. Simply put, they have gone downhill. We have had a few interactions with Stone Crest both during and before the pandemic - but after my previous review - and the ratio has flipped. That is, now I am lucky to run into 2 or 3 employees that are both professional and competent. There has been an incredible shift in attitude as well as level of care. I now see why they have the reputation among some locals, citizens and doctors, as being the place to be misdiagnosed. I am not sure what their focus is on, but is surely not medical accuracy or professionalism. Will not voluntarily return to this hospital for myself or loved ones.

Previous review: "As far as hospitals go, this is one of the best I've been to. Only 2 or 3 employees have ever been less than desirable and only once did the visit take far too long considering the circumstances. Most polite staff I have seen at a hospital."

Always a good experience. Very fast check in and the wait time to see the Dr is very quick.
Dr Drey takes as much time as I need to discuss the reason for the visit. Best Dr. in my opinion.

People are hearded in and out of here like cattle, its riduculous. I came in with a large lump under my chin 10cm by 4 cm and Dr Archer said "oh that must be from that pimple", we will give you some pain med and some anti biotics and you can go home. He never even touched me, or listened to my chest. I had to force him to do blood work then he refused to give me a copy or tell me what it said. I refused the pain meds. This place is a joke and so was he...8 days later the lump had grown

Fast Tract service is horrible you can hear everything in next room because the only thing that separate you is a sheet. There is no privacy, you can hear other people personal information including address, DOB, & Soc. numbers, employment etc. Reason why there being seen & different medication there on and what the doctor prescribed them. Yet, they still let you leave with high blood pressure and fever. They don't care! If you want to live & get well, don't go!!!

They turned my opinion of this facility completely around. I had a bad experience with a nasty nurse in the ER before & wouldn't return. My surgeon, however, uses Stonecrest so what choice did I have? They treated me SO well that I wouldn't have changed my visit at all. If I could give them 10 stars, I would.

I was treated and tested in a most professional manner. Everyone was nice, but they treated me with love and devotion. I can tell they love people. Thank you for your care.

StoneCrest Emergency room did an exceptional job taking care of my toddler tonight. The triage was quick and efficient with Cat. The PA, Hunter Lee has excellent bedside manner and was patient and kind with my little guy...so much so that my 3 year old thanked him for stitching up his boo boo! Lori his RN also took time to bring him a popsicle and was quick and efficient with discharging us. Registration was kind and EVS entered the room as well to change the trash and was polite. Great facility to bring your family too!

It felt like you had a real plan to protect everyone, both patients and staff. I go to another major hospital in Nashville that does a good job but think StoneCrest has gone steps better.

TERRIBLE. DONT ADVERTISE 10 minute wait times if it's going to take me 2 hours to get a room, and then 3 damn hours for a doctor to come back. There was no one in the waiting room, and while I'm waiting on discharge papers the employees are having a chit chat about tickets to some sports game. It's 4 am. I WANT TO GO HOME. we got here at 10. And there was no medical diagnosis.

Beware of their billing department before and after scheduling appointments. I was careful to contact both the department and my insurance to make sure I was informed of my costs and coverages. Now it has been months of back and forth of the facility denying that they are in network with my insurance. The staff at the facility was great, however it is disheartening to know that they are dishonest or misleading about insurance network coverage. I never would have chosen this facility had I known about these issues.

Went to the ER tho find out I had celulites in both my ankles and they got me prepared to get an IV for antibiotics and fluid but the nurse practitioner forgot to order it and left me in the room for hours and when she came back I ask her why didn't I get my fluids and antibiotics through my IV said replied oh you didn't get it oh well just go home take the antibiotics I am write you and elevate your feet then left .
I gotta say that was the worst experience I had at a hospital I should have went somewhere else but if you have to go to the ER and you can make it another 20 min drive some where else Like Murfreesboro or Nashville or a guy who thinks he is a doctor

Outside of the fact I was at the ER in the first place (nobody s fault there), the only things I didn t like was repeating what was wrong so many times. It was a bit of a sentitive issue and instead of just reading what the previous nurse had keyed in I was asked again and again. I also was given a bag of saline I believe, but every time I had to be moved for something it was never hooked back up so I only actually got a 3rd of the bag at most. I worry I m going to be charged for something I didn t actually receive. With that being said other than those two issues I was treated excellent, and everything was done in a timely manner. Everyone was friendly, nice and helpful.

What a joke of a hospital. I was referred for 2 preventive screening tests by my doctor (Dr Hixson) and when i called to schedule, i was told it would be $600 out of pocket. I refused, but later a nurse called (I think she was in authorizing) and said she would would help me, as these are covered under Medicare. After 3 months she finally called and said it was authorized and i could get the tests done. I had called the SS office, and they were approved. Now 2 months after the tests i am getting bills for $359 on 2 different occasions. It will be a cold day in hell before I pay this, and am actively looking for another hospital in case i need one. Sick of calling, as it has been going on now for almost 6 months and so many calls i can't keep up.

Do not go to this hospital. Drive to Nashville instead where most of the hospitals actually care about their patients more than they do money. I had a visit to the emergency room and wasn't able to pay the $123 payment due. I forgot about it. Never heard from them again until the jerks put it on my credit report...lowered my credit rating for $123...a holes.

This hospital should be closed and the staff never rehired. The ER nurse I had walked way ahead of me with a broke toe, and said there was no wheelchairs available, it was 2 people in the entire ER yesterday.
The Mark Nurse Practitioner, was so rude I would NOT give him my enemies dog. That was the worst treatment ever. I am complaining on these people and how they treat patients in emergency. Unreal, how this group is so uncaring, and they smirked, as I cried in pain. I am very disappointed in this hospital.

Other than the RN meghan Barnes. This was the worst experience I have ever had. The doctor was rude. Didnt catch her name, not sure if she told me.
I will never NEVER AGAIN return to this hospital. It was not busy at all and I was there for 6 hours for a stomach bug. Which I could have been home with anti nausea pills like they had gave me at home hours ago. I believe that they forgot that I was here. The other RN that took over seems like he had no clue what was going on. Didn't even tell me his name so therefore I can't let you know that. I will never be back... This is absolutely ridiculous!! Someone else could've been in this room hours ago. And I'm am still waiting for release papers. I have been for almost 30 to 45 min for those papers.

I will never go back to this ER. I fell down some stairs and was taken to stonecrest ER. My foot and ankle swollen and in bad pain . They wouldn't give me a ice pack never checked nothing else on me but my foot. Wrapped it up and told me it was a sprain . Sent me home where I was in really bad pain all night . They were so rude to me that I actually cried . Went to a foot doctor the next morning only to find out I've got torn ligments torn tendons and will be having surgery. The ER told me to start walking on it the next day . So glad I didnt . They were so unprofessional and rude.

VERY HAPPY WITH MY VISIT TO GET MY ECHO. VERY RELAXING AND DID NOT HAVE A LONG WAIT. I DO HAVE A SUGGESTION THOUGH.

Excellent customer service, really I was blown away! The employees at the information desks were cheerful and friendly, and the gentleman who helped me get checked in was outstanding. I had a mammogram and the ladies in radiology were just as nice, I was seen right away and the whole process was smooth and easy. One of the best experiences I have ever had at a medical facility.

I ve been for 4 tests this month as outpatient. Each time everyone has treated me with respect and kindness and information about each test. I ve also had surgery at this hospital two years ago and was treated the same way. Everyone is so very nice that I would not want to go anywhere else.

The worst nursing staff ever. Very rude, slow, and unprofessional. I would never recommend this facility, and I would give them zero stars if it were an option.
No need for to respond to my response, cause I have read your reviews and the responses you give and yet nothing changes. I just wanted to for warn people in advance to seek health care elsewhere.

Ps. My wife was in unbearable pain in the ER and they just left her in sitting in a hallway for hours. Stonecrest hospital is by far the worst in the health care business!!!!!

I was met at the door as soon as as I arrived and asked if I needed assistance with the sign in for my appointment . After my sign in I didn't have to wait long before I was taken back to the waiting area where my test was performed .
The nurse was very friendly and did her job professionally while making me feel very comfortable by carrying on a conversation . I was completely pleased with the procedure .
Thanks Wayne Hunter .

Everyone in the ER was wonderful. They took the time to listen to me about what my problem was and took very good care of me. All doctors and nurses need to know that listening to the patient about there own health can make a big difference in the diagnosis. Thanks

Went in today to get a check out to complete my physical (colonoscopy) and check in went smooth and it was, by far, the shortest wait I have ever had at any medical facility to get in.

Taken to the room and was helped by Morgan (the nurse who started my IV - tricky veins) and Kathy (super nice and friendly) get all ready for the procedure.

Supper short wait, again, and I was wheeled over to endoscopy where I met the anesthesiologist who knocked me out and woke me up - his quote.

Fast and friendly care, kind Cassie in recovery and a really helpful, informative staff.

Here s the breakdown:

Fast check in +1 star, Morgan +1 star (really curious what the latitude/longitude tat meant), Kathy +1 star, Rock star team in Endoscopy +1 star, Cassie (and other nurse in recovery who s name I ve forgotten because I was a little dopey) +1 star; left hanging for 45 minutes after getting back to room while flat mate waited outside to pick me up because doctor didn t show for overview of procedure -1 star.

If I m ever in Smyrna in need of medical help I d use them again. Thanks for the mostly awesome experience.

I went to the emergency room 2 days ago for an abscessed ingrown hair in my armpit. I was in a lot of pain and the cyst had to be lanced due to the size and infection. I was injected with numbing medication at the site the doctor did not wait for the numbing medication to take effect before he started to cut I told him I could feel everything he was doing and he just said "i'm sorry, your doing great". He continued to butcher my arm, squeezing and applying as much pressure as he possibly could which all could have been avoided if he'd just given it about 60 seconds to kick in. Once he was finished he stood up and he walked out of the room not saying a word and also leaving me there covered in blood exposed and not as much as a napkin to clean my self up with.

I have read the reviews. With my personal experience it was the worst hospital I have ever seen. My husband has abdominal aorta aneurysm surgery. There was only one friendly nurse in ICU. Her name is Heather. Thank you Heather for being professional and caring about people's feelings in the professional job you do. As for the rest of the staff...they were all rude and non caring. When I asked questions about my husband they ignored me. When I asked for clean sheets I ended up using my own sheets to make his bed that they left in the room for me. They said we had an emergency call. Which lets me know they are understaffed. They were rude to me because I was upset that no one told me why they didn't bring clean sheets until over an hour later. I helped my husband in n out of bed..i cleaned up after him. I wiped up the floor when he couldn't get to the bathroom in time. I felt like I was surrounded by heartless walking dead people with no care or concern for the patients at all. It was the worst experience in any hospital I have ever had and I never want to have it again. I was called after I got all the way back home from visiting my husband by a nurse telling me my husband was having a heart attack. When I rushed all the way back to Smyrna from Shelbyville..i was then told he wasn't having a heart attack which made me even more angry n upset n they just acted like it was no big deal that they did this to me. I wouldn't let my dog go to this hospital. I will not ever go back and as far as I'm concerned no one else should either. They are the rudest people I have ever been around. They get people upset then when you fall apart they act like you're the bad guy. I have nothing nice to say about this place. There's alot more that went wrong at our stay there but I figure just what I have said is long enough.

Try these alternatives before going to this horrible place.

1. Watch a YouTube video about your problem and go from there.

2. Stay at a Holiday Inn 1 night and you will be better prepared.

3. Choose a different hospital.

Stonecrest is the biggest joke I've ever stepped foot in. Do yourself a favor and completely avoid this place at all costs.

Very friendly staff and professionalism is top notch. They helped me an took care of me as I was someone that they known a long time. Not to mention Dr.Melvin and Dr.Taylor who were my surgeons was very nice an helped me with anything I had questions about.

Only hospital I go to! I live in a different town now and still drive further to go to Stonecrest. Always the most thoughtful staff who treat me like family. Dr. Thompson is my regular doctor who I have had for years and Dr. Taylor recently delivered my bundle of joy. Boy extraordinary with the best staff on hand. I look forward to each doctors appointment and wouldn t go anywhere else

I was in for an overnight stay because of surgery. Everyone from pre-op to discharge was professional, caring and friendly. A special thanks to nurses Erik and Kate (4th floor) and to Dr. Melvin.

I have been in many hospitals and Tri-Star Stone Crest the best.

I came to StoneCrest to deliver my 3rd and final baby via c-section. My entire pregnancy I read horror stories of how black women either died or nearly died from complications associated with child birth. I ve experienced postpartum hemorrhaging with each pregnancy, to the point where medical intervention has been necessary. Each birth is progressively worse than the one before for me.

The one resounding theme is that these women were not listened to or they weren t deemed a priority. That was not my experience at StoneCrest, the labor and delivery nurses are AMAZING! Judy, an amazing l&d nurse, noticed early on that I was hemorrhaging and alerted my doctor! My healthcare professionals listened to me and saved my life!

I m forever thankful to TriStar StoneCrest Medical Center s labor and Delivery nurses, radiology, and Providence Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Cherise Felix, Dr. Taylor, Dr. Boorgu, Judy, Rachel, Lisa, Lisa, Ashley, Vickie, David, Tammy, Paul, Vaughn, Joy, Meghan, and Brittany and Dawn. From the bottom of my heart, thank you so much for listening and taking such amazing care of me!

There aren t enough words or ways to express how grateful I am to the entire staff in the labor and delivery department at Stonecrest Medical Center. They were caring, kindness, and sweet to me during my hospital stay. I am so grateful to them. Also I want to give nurse Jeanne Nolan for her kind professional demeanor.

Thank you so much for the excellent medical care.

I arrived at 1pm in extreme (but non-life threatening) pain and there were two others in the ER waiting room. I was called and then put in a secondary waiting room until 5pm. I was never asked if I needed anything for the pain. I just kept getting a different nurse and doctor every so often that I would have to re-tell my issue to. It seemed as though they were shuffling me around to see who was going to take care of me, and instead of helping me, I was left to sit in a chair for almost four hours. Finally, when I was moved to a room with a bed they did take care of me and were very polite. They assigned a student to preform a small surgical procedure and it was very painful. I do not think they numbed me enough since I have had the procedure before and this was ten times worse. Typically, I receive great care at this hospital. However, I did feel as though no one really cared that I was in pain. NOR did they seem to care that I was left to sit in pain for four hours. I understand that ER's are very busy and Covid has complicated the way everything works. But, I saw people come in and get treated and released that were also non-life threatening as I continued to sit and wait. It felt very disrespectful of my time and my situation/pain.

very poor, ER, my wife was misdiagnosed, gave the wrong medicine, went to Vandy was admitted for the screw ups. from stone crest.
I had a heart attack driving west on 24, my wife called ahead warning them I was having a BAD heart attack, when we arrived they asked me if i could walk, I was put in a wheel chair, my pain was so severe I was hollering, I was told by a so called nurse she was sorry but there was nothing she could do, My Cardiologist @ Vandy called stated I was to be transfered to Vandy as soon as I could be moved, the cardiologist tried to talk me into staying, after he told the nurse no more pain meds. My daughter had to go home get my pain meds & another heart med. they didn't have, this place is a JOKE, good place for apartments. if they think we're going to pay for my wifes visit, we'll send them the Vandy bill, also don't expect anymore money than the Ins. Pays. you guys are rip offs, have no right to pratice medicine.

I m very disappointed I came to the ER in pain and all the doctor could keep telling me was he don t know. Then again I can google about 4 things that could ve been my cause for coming into the ER. I regret coming here I could ve stayed at home and atleast I would ve been in pain in the comfort of my own home rather than to just be sent home with I don t knows and no help or relief

The worse ER room ever waiting to see what's wrong with you while the Doctor's and the nurse practitioner's sat back there and chet & chat while people waiting on them to treat them. I arrived @ 6:30pm and it is now 10:00pm and still waiting they give you the wrong diagnosis. I would not bring my love one's to this hospital anymore.

I tore my Achilles tendon and sat in this ER from 10pm-2am, mainly with people who thought they had the flu. I got called back to see the doctor within an hour and he was a bit rough (i believe because this injury is uncommon in women and he may have thought i was incorrect), but once i started crying uncontrollably he got the picture. The staff was personable but it was definitely a slow night. I have always been under the impression the ER takes the worse injuries/patients back first but I guess that s not protocol not here (please keep that in mind). In my 4 hours waiting, others left after waiting upwards of 5-6 hrs. I sat in the lobby cold and in pain for hours after the doctor suggested a shot for pain (never received) only to get called back after most everyone else to have a temporary splint put on, given a pair of crutches and referred to an orthopedic specialist. It would have been a bearable experience IF the doctor had not forgotten to sign off on the now much needed pain and inflammation prescriptions that we traveled 30 minutes into town to have filled at a 24hr pharmacy. The pharmacist was nice enough to call the ER and get something less strong approved over the phone because he had prescribed a controlled substance and those can t be approved over the phone (and i would have had to drive 30 min back to the ER and wait however long again to have another prescription made). Needless to say i have had little to no sleep in dealing with the constant pain but hopefully my surgery is scheduled ASAP with the referred specialist.

I was met with great hospitality and kindness throughout the time from when I first arrived to the time I was discharged a couple days later. The only thing I wish could've been approached better is my treatment in prescription drugs given after I was discharged as well as the lack of clear details involving a careful diet. Other than that, it was good.

I was recently a Registered Nurse here, but worked on the floor so going through the ER was different for me.
I didn't care for how long I had to wait, but once I was seen it was smooth-sailing from there. My nurse was Stephanie. She was super sweet. CT was great and my PA, Keely M. was the best. I was told it could take two hours before my results from my CT would come back because of how busy they were. My PA came back within 30 mins of my reading with negative results! Thank GOD! I appreciate everyone keeping smiles in such a tough profession. I was on the other side of things today. I wasn't the nurse today. I was the patient and was scared. Thanks to my HCP's that made this as comfortable as possible.

Totally unimpressed with ER doctor on duty during the day. My husband was in a wreck and had 17 stitches in his head and this doctor said he could go to work next day. Doctor didn t even ask what he did for a living. When I explained to doctor what he did for a living the doctor nonchalantly said he would note he would need to be out of work next day! Doctor had zero bedside manner! I would suggest anyone that goes thru ER and gets stuck with Dr Ken Tuggle that they ask if there is another doctor available. Then my husband was told they needed the room while we were cleaning the blood off him before we left. He was in there for four hours and no one bothered to clean him up. I am wondering if attitude was driven by the fact this was a workmen s comp case and not private insurance.

Not happy......not one bit happy. I had to check myself out and take care of my impossible illness by myself. This is what I am stuck with. The ER staff there know me well........I have been showing up as a patient with uncontrollable vomiting for several years, and yet they still see me, I assume, as a drug seeker. Nothing could be further from the truth. I can't get any help there any longer. I am afraid this thing that I have will kill me eventually, and they don't care.

Spent four hours waiting to be seen and notified by a Dr. You all have spent countless of dollars on renovating this hospital, just to build another waiting room in the back so people can sit longer! Over the years, I have spoken great things about this hospital. Now I sincerely regret it. You have to repeat your story, and symptoms 20X in one visit, The employees never know what s going on and never communicate with each other nor with the patients. You all are going to need more than nice recliners to run a hospital.

Showed up at the emergency room with severe chest pain and received the up most professionalism and kindness that I have ever experienced. Had several tests done within my stay and every person went above and beyond my expectations to make me feel priority. My stay was in room 303 and it surpasses Murfreesboro hospital ten times over hands down. 5 stars for sure. No doubt.

Very bad communication of staff with patients family even after 2 times of going to the area that completed prep for the procedure was told / assured that someone would be coming out to update me on when I would be able to go back and sit with my wife prior to her going into the surgery area. Then they never came to me I finally got in to the hall way where her room was and found out she was already in the surgery, I went back to the hospital Admissions area and explained the situation to them they assured me (again) how they would have someone come out and update me in the waiting room. In the mean time the Doctor has came out to talk with me about how the procedure went and I missed him, I of course didn t know this though so I sat there another Fifteen minutes finally the nurse that was taking care of my wife post surgery and they brought her back to the room. So the procedure went well and she was getting ready to leave. I think the administration should have a communication procedure in place with someone who must answer to them when things like this happens.
