First time experience. Nice ambiance if eating or having a drink there. Went to see When the Crows Visit, good, be it a serious subject play. Seating in the theatre perfect with respect to distance from stage and the number and comfort of seats. Also has a cinema there which I would be keen to visit one day.

This show was incredible. I recommend that if you get a chance to see it you definitely do.

The theatre is really nice... Really intimate that it moves you with the performance.

This show only had 7 actors and they performed phenomenally. I had a blast.

First and foremost, the Tricycle deserves five stars because it is an excellent theatre that has hosted many outstanding productions and done considerable work to promote multi-cultural understanding, including with the Jewish Film Festival for several years. The reviews claiming that the Tricycle is anti-semitic are completely unfounded. It took the brave and principled decision to not accept funding from the Israeli embassy during this time of conflict in Gaza, and furthermore offered to make up this amount and host the festival again. The media has misrepresented the issue, I urge everybody to read the statements by the Tricycle and support its work.

Small but perfectly formed. Visited for 1st time to see "Blues in the Night", loved the show. Found all the staff friendly & the venue a delight. I will definitely be back , ticket prices half the price of the West End & top quality theatre, what's not to like.

Came here to watch "Wife". Having never been to a theatre outside of Central London and Edinburgh, I wasn't sure what to expect. Actually, Kiln Theatre is an awesome theatre place. The theatre has a very modern cafe and restaurant and prices are not outrageous like in London. The theatre interiors were nice and comfortably and I could see that although small to medium sized, the auditorium was actually quite compact and I had no trouble hearing the actors on stage. A nice day out.

Nice facility serving the ego of its artistic director . Very disability-unfriendly. Managers condone homophobic comment from staff (as I was shocked to discover after receiving copies of my data from a subject access request). After sucking up the lion's share of Brent Council arts funding, the artistic director changed the theatre name from the Tricycle. Banned Camden New for reporting the truth about the theatre decision t change the name without consulting the local community that its finances depend on. The theatre is led by a person who silences even constructive criticism. Journal to present at ser

What an absolute pleasure to have this on our doorstep! Can't believe we haven't been sooner! Well priced drinks and the cinema is large with good leg room. We came for the NT Live All About Eve and I can't recommend them enough either, really get to see the actors facial expressions which you miss in the theatre! Kiln or Tricycle, who cares, what is most important is what it brings to the community!

Shame it has been subject to hate campaign by Jewish community who are trying to boycott (don't know the background). Went to the cinema. Really comfortable seats and can take drinks from the bar in with you. Would definitely come here over one of the mainstream cinemas. Looking forward to coming to see some productions here!

The terrible person who leads this wonderful organ...

The terrible person who leads this wonderful organization is hellbent on destroying its legacy and establishing herself a career path towards the National theatre.
She seems to possess an incredible talent of alienating entire communities, first she forced the jewish community to boycot the establishment and then without bothering to hold a public consultation,, she decides to change the name from its historic tricycle to the kiln.
Over two thousand people signed a petition against it, her career building was way more important than the objections of thousands of loyal customers.
There needs to be a movement to oust her from our beloved theatre, the sooner that happens the better it will be for the theatre and the community.

The old Tricycle theatre has had a refurbishment and rebranding and is now known as Kiln. What they haven't done - and really this is daft beyond belief - is made it easy to find the place. As far as I could see, there was no sign on the main road at all. And, while its official address might be on the High Road, the actual building and entrance are not. I walked right past the side road twice. I do admire their efforts to bring reasonably priced, interesting plays and films to Kilburn, an area that has been described as 'up-and-coming' for at least three decades as far as I know... so I'm being generous with the four stars. But when I went to see a film recently, I had to queue for ages to buy a ticket as there was only one person at the box office and everything happened very s-l-o-w-l-y. Come on, chaps, get some signs out there.

A decent smallish theatre with helpful front of office staff.

The entrance area is designed to be a little funky :-)

The seats are comfortable and well designed in the circle at least to give a good vewxof the stage. The audio throughout is very good.

Fantastic independent venue offering a great choice of cinema and theatre. The Artistic Director continuously excels at coordinating a great programme of events. The cinema is intimate and has some great value tickets on Monday nights and certain matinee shows. A great venue to support, highly recommended.

Great, modern looking, clean theatre. Small performance room for a full on theatre experience. Comfortable seats with enough leg room which is rare. They could put more staff behind the bar at the interval as it was chaotic and took a long time to be served

Ignoring the coordinated campaign of abuse the place has clearly suffered - all about a month ago - it's a nice venue, the production was excellent (True West) and the staff were great. The bar is a decent size too.

I went to watch "A Boy and His Soul" last night - a solo performance by Coleman Domingo - it was SO good - really funny, touching and entertaining. Coleman is a dancer and his movement on stage is so neat. He takes on the characters of his family as he goes back and reflects on childhood memories and life through the soul music that he grew up on in Philadelphia in the 70s. He also talks about coming out as gay to his family - wow.

At the end of the show, Coleman received a standing ovation. As he left the stage, we the audience remained clapping and dancing away in our seats.

This is on until 21st September - if you get a chance to go, do it! "Keep the records, keep your soul" - Coleman Domingo.

The theatre is intimate and the productions well above what one would expect from a theatre so small. As a local the cinema is great and always comfortable! I've not used the restaurant so can't comment fully but it always looks and smells great any time I've been in the building. Great choice of beers at the bar all make me a happy person

About Tricycle Theatre

Tricycle Theatre: A Proudly Local Theatre with an International Vision and Reputation

Tricycle Theatre is a renowned theatre located in Kilburn, North West London. It was founded in 1980 by Ken Chubb and Pam Brighton, who wanted to create a space for innovative and socially relevant theatre. Since then, Tricycle Theatre has become a cultural hub for the local community and beyond.

The theatre's name comes from its original location on the corner of Kilburn High Road, which was known as "the tricycle corner" due to the three-wheeled vehicles that used to pass through there. Today, Tricycle Theatre is housed in a modern building that includes two performance spaces - the main auditorium with 235 seats and the smaller cinema with 300 seats.

Tricycle Theatre has gained an international reputation for producing high-quality theatre that reflects contemporary issues and diverse perspectives. The theatre's artistic director is Indhu Rubasingham, who took over from Nicolas Kent in 2012. Under her leadership, Tricycle Theatre has continued to push boundaries with its programming choices.

One of Tricycle Theatre's most notable productions was "The Great Game: Afghanistan", which consisted of twelve plays exploring Afghanistan's history and politics over the past century. The production received critical acclaim and toured internationally.

In addition to producing its own shows, Tricycle Theatre also hosts visiting productions from other companies. This allows audiences to experience a wide range of theatrical styles and genres throughout the year.

Tricycle Theatre is committed to engaging with its local community through outreach programs such as youth theatres, workshops for schools, and partnerships with local organizations. The theatre also offers discounted tickets for residents of Brent borough as part of its commitment to accessibility.

In recent years, Tricycle Theatre has expanded its reach beyond traditional live performance by incorporating film screenings into its programming. The cinema space regularly shows independent films as well as mainstream releases.

Overall, Tricycle Theatre is a unique cultural institution that combines local roots with global ambitions. Its commitment to producing socially relevant work while engaging with diverse communities makes it an important player in London's vibrant arts scene.
