Most wonderful theatre in London!

Most wonderful theatre in London!

In addition to the shows themselves, the theatre runs public workshops that tie in with the various productions. These are great fun, lifting the lid on the rehearsal process and giving you the chance to explore the play in a different way.

The venue itself is small and intimate, but with a lovely bar area where the serve a decent selection of wines & preprepared cocktails.

Can't recommend this place enough! :D

Great little theatre space!

Great little theatre space!
Berberian Sound Studio was a brilliant experience. Very immersive, probably partly due to closeness - practically onstage!
Comfortable seating. Staff were friendly and helpful.
(Toilets could do with a bit more looking after)

Great little theatre that brings you really close to the action. Reasonable seat prices but bar drinks expensive. Happy, friendly staff and top line actors. Plays are sometimes challenging but always worth a visit.

The Donmar Warehouse never fails to entertain with its diverse programme of plays. In my case, because I am deaf, I am able to attend captioned performances and a specialist (deaf aware trained) staff member called Emma is always at hand (and signs in BSL) to ensure things go right for deaf people at the Donmar Warehouse.
Rob at the box office ensures I have a good seat from which to see the plays and the captions clearly. It is a welcoming, entertaining venue and the place to be.

My school and I watched the The Tempest - the last of Shakespeare's Trilogy by Donmar. I absolutely loved it. Also, i met Lenny Henry and the Radio 1 presenter and also took a group picture like a celebrity. Amazing work guys...keep it up!

The Donmar has to be one of my favourite theatres, with only a 250 seat capacity you have a wonderful intimate venue where there are no bad seats.

The plays are constantly changing, each season there will be at least three plays, some themed, some wildly different. From classic Shakespeare to modern day writers, from serious to comedies, there is something for everyone.

While refreshments are limited, it is a fact of a smaller venue, along with less restrooms. But the charm of the theatre, the strengths of the casts, and the range of plays offered through the year make this a standout theatre.

Went to the Donamar to see Tom Hiddlestone in Coriolanus and was very taken with the theatre, it's tiny! Makes the whole experience that little bit more intimate. We were right in the centre of row C at the front and had a pretty amazing view.

They don't overcharge either which I found refreshing paying a very reasonable price for both my program and the tea/biscuits that were to be my dinner for the evening! Staff were all very helpful too.

Have know Donmar from New York, as it often collaborates with St Ann s warehouse in Brooklyn. The shows there are varied, but often thought provoking. It s intimate setting means sometimes it s hard to secure tickets to hotly sought after shows.
So when Donmar reopens its doors, I didn t hesitate to visit. It s not live performance as we knew it, but Blindness - a recorded audio recording of Jose Saramago s book - is an apt return to theater in these troubled times.
Donmar is one of a handful of theaters I always visit whenever I m in London, and am seldom disappointed.

Wonderfully intimate space, especially if seated in the stalls. I heard some people complaining about comfort, but I've been in much less comfortable theatres.

Long queues for ladies' toilets.

I've not considered the production itself in this review.

Got a standing ticket to see "The Weir" one Wednesday. Just before curtain up we were moved downstairs to the stalls. Great seats and well worth doing, If not try and get the barclays front row seats every monday online from 10 am for a tenner! Fantastic venue and a terrific venue to see the best talent and the best London Theatre has to offer.
