The old Tricycle theatre has had a refurbishment and rebranding and is now known as Kiln. What they haven't done - and really this is daft beyond belief - is made it easy to find the place. As far as I could see, there was no sign on the main road at all. And, while its official address might be on the High Road, the actual building and entrance are not. I walked right past the side road twice. I do admire their efforts to bring reasonably priced, interesting plays and films to Kilburn, an area that has been described as 'up-and-coming' for at least three decades as far as I know... so I'm being generous with the four stars. But when I went to see a film recently, I had to queue for ages to buy a ticket as there was only one person at the box office and everything happened very s-l-o-w-l-y. Come on, chaps, get some signs out there.
