K was extremely attentive and helpful in helping me plan my Bagan and Inle lake trip.

Can't go wrong with Shangri-la. Nicely located in city centre area and easily accessible to other areas

Eaten during monsoon season, the food was as amazing as ever. What's best is the staff of Sule Shangri-La. They are ready to help at every corner of the meal. The international buffet is well balanced and it offers numerous options from halal, non halal, vegetarian, dessert lovers. I would reccomand this place to anyone travelling in the country.

When I requested a room with a shower toilet to the staff at the checkout last year, the request came true this time. Myanmar is very thankful because there are few shower toilets.

Lovely hotel, with good service. Also has function rooms for meetings or presentations.

It's just ok,but not in a good one for me.The best part is it's in the middle of the town.and Their's foods great.But the hotel facilities need more fine quality I think.When you entered,you won't feel like any different from any other place.I mean why it have to spend a lot many on staying even it won't make you impress?The swimming pool is small.really,it's like teenager's size pool.

I enjoyed the best stay in Yangon.
The upgrade to the Horizon Club floor was also a great reminder.

The hotel is excellant as are the staff and the facilities.
The rooms dont have any fresh air options which makes it uncomfortable and muggy. The bedding is a let down as well as the mattress cover is too thick and the quilt is of a poor quality as it doesnt breath well enough so you are always hot.
Whilst waiting for my driver, i asked for a latte and was promptly charged $8.50 as it came with two Danish pastries that i hadnt asked for. The coffee is of an OK standard only and no better than at Gloria Jeans which is just around the corner and costs less than half. pricing should be in line with the location not just a case of charging London prices to make the hotel appear more select.
These issues sadly detract from my stay each time.

Staff are friendly, approachable and professional. Breakfast is superb and amazing. Hotel room is big and comfortable. If there is more than 5star rate for the breakfast I will rate it. Best hotel that I've ever stayed.

The staff was the highlight of my visit. Everyone was so friendly and accommodating, especially Penny. The room was well appointed and the housekeeping staff did an excellent cleaning job. Really appreciated the weekly fruit and cookies left in room..

Yangon was the final destination of our Myanmar trip, and we can say that the biggest highlight was no doubt, our stay at Sule Shangri-la. We stayed there for 3 amazing nights and we never felt so welcomed at a place, like we felt there. The staff is super friendly and makes an effort to put a smile on your face, every time they see you. By far, the best buffet breakfast with lots of Vegan options. The facilities are great, specially the gym and pool area, where we spent most of our time :)
If you are looking for a luxury place to say, where you can have all the comfort you need and with the best food in town, Sule should be your choice!

While it is not the newest hotel in Yangon, it is well maintained.

One of the finer hotels in Yangon and located very close to Sule Pagoda. Hotel stands out definitely for its hospitality and services. Room quality is good (not great) and has a room for improvement. Breakfast is really good and shouldn't be missed! They serve sushi in breakfast. Now, how many places have it in their breakfast menu?

Truly enjoyed my stay. Great breakfast, nice jacuzzi, sauna, swimming pool. People nice and polite.

The Sule Shangri-La used to be a Traders' Hotel (and is still known to most taxi drivers as Traders'), so some of its room facilities are noticeably older. However, it functions perfectly fine and the new furnishings help create a balance between tradition and modernity - which is very appropriate for Myanmar.

Service is splendid, but due to the surrounding construction sites it is a bit difficult to walk around. However, this was in mid-2016 so it should be much better by early 2017.

I will highly recommended this hotel.Its a pleasant stay..
