Excellent breakfast. Genuine five star hotel. Downtown Yangon.

After an unexpected power outage, the state level conference was needed to halt for half hour at Shangri-La Hotel, Yangon Myanmar.

No responsible person appeared when incident happen (18 May 2017)

All other 5-stars Hotels in Yangon Myanmar, have their own backup power plan and the turn around time is just 2 minutes (Max).

Because of such incident, supporters suggest the State Government not hold or attend any Conference at ShangriLa Hotel , Yangon Myanmar until the issue is settled.

It's one of the biggest hotel in Myanmar and excellent services for room renting...

I booked a room but I can't bring my guest for Breakfast as it was registered under one head, what a joke??? I am a frequent traveller, every hotels i went always entitled 2 guests for one room!!!
When I was in Jakarta Novotel, my departure was 5am and I were given a breakfast voucher when they know the breakfast was not ready and they even prepare a take away breakfast for me. What a wonderful experience with such an Big international hotel. Please create a customer experience rather then trying to convince them one room one guest??? OMG

Good location, you can easily walk to the Sule Pagoda or market. Connected to a small shopping centre with a supermarket. Room and toilet are a bit small, but very clean with full amenities.

We stayed for 2 nights. In our first night, the room has some strange sounds (high pitched squeaking sound) around every 20 mins. We changed to room for the 2nd night and it was super quiet. The breakfast has good selection and we'll stocked. The staff are nice and make you feel welcome.

Sule Shangri-La is one of the grandest hotels I have ever seen. They managed to incorporate Burmese art with the hotel's modern architecture. The staff is really friendly and helpful. In my own opinion, their staff's hospitality is almost on par with "Filipino hospitality". The breakfast buffet is diverse. Native delicacies in Myanmar can be found in the buffet. They have several milk options for their cereals which is a huge plus for me since I am slightly Lactose-intolerant and I would usually prefer Soy milk than full cream milk. Their rooms are spacious and the beds are snuggly and cozy. The steam, sauna and jacuzzi is an oasis for travelers like me. Unwinding in Sule Shangri-La's wet area after touring all day long in Myanmar is truly an unforgettable experience. They deserve their 5 stars!

Perfect location, nice and kind staff, good breakfast... everything was nice

The hotel was of high quality, but still fell short of its implied luxury experience. The staff were helpful, if a little overbearing at times. I would've rated it 3 stars if I'd been staying here full price, but as the room was heavily discounted I think the quality was probably appropriate. Pictures include view from the top floor, the clarity of which was affected by the window.

Great location, Good Breakfast and Staffs are welcoming...

Very pleasant stay, staff is very friendly (loved the warm welcome of Pinky) and SPA was excellent, though needs a lobby separating from Gym because there is a lot of noise coming from Gym every time SPA door is opened.
Excellent breakfast, loved the gourmet shop and the Gallery Bar had only one defect: the pool table couldn't be used because the TV projector was on top of it!
Last, in the last floor a rooftop bar would be very welcomed to take advantage of the nice views from there (I know because I went to Sakura Tower rooftop for that experience).

The food are really nice. The price is worthy for taste and service.

I am not sure which homes they are referring to. Maybe those homes from ghetto? Such as no electricity, no hot shower. Can you believe it?

The welcome made me feel good about the hotel and was especially good following along difficult journey .

Great place with excellent location in heart of the city with excellent service.

The building and the rooms are a bit tired but they maintain an excellent quality.

Service is impeccable and if you have a club room or a Suite with Club Access, the Horizon Club is a true gem.

Near Sule pagoda,Yangon City Hall,Mahabandoola Park etc I love there.
