Awful place. Poor facilities and lack of support from hotel. Traffic jam and poor management made unbearable to put your guest there.

We have had a very pleasant experience in general. Excellent service, very friendly and helpful staff. Good sized rooms, clean and quiet. Excellent location. Pleasant lounge area.
However, we have major complaints about the bathroom: very difficult to get in and out of the high-rim bath tub (walk-in shower stall preferred), toilet is inefficient, water drains from sink with undesirable noise.

The experience was a pleasant one. My thanks particularly to Ms Hwe at the Horizon Club who helped sort out our birthday cake. Alvin at the Club was also very helpful in locating a nearby pharmacy for me.

A great hotel in a convenient location in Yangon.
My room was outstanding in every respect, including spaciousness, cleanliness, amenities.
I ate all my breakfasts and dinners at the hotel. Very good restaurant.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. In particular I would like to mention the concierge, Jason, who was very helpful with a problem I had with an airline reservation and who helped in other ways.
I think this must be the best place to stay in Yangon!

Good location especially for tourists and business visitors. The standard of the hotel is not as good as other Shangri-la s around the world. Breakfast buffet is very average.

Entering the lobby, the first word that'll come to mind is this: FASCIST. The scale is huge and the decor is pure corporate. The rooms are good, if anonymous. The lobby is straight out of Casablanca, with ceiling fans and uber-polite staff. One small note: being gay doesn't fly in Myanmar. Like us, they may show you to a room that's nicer than what you reserved. What? Oh, yes: instead of one king, it's got two double beds.

Excellent hotel. Great location. Comfortable bed, good breakfast (huge variety of foods). Staff very helpful and efficient but not overbearing. Slow check in process. No face washer provided in room which was unusual for a hotel in this class.

We had a small problem with our room and the staff went above and beyond to take care of it. Amazing service! Very impressed with this hotel.

I think that the hotel services are very well orchestrated to provide a comfortable long-stay and excellent customer experience. Your staff is aware of the roles, policies and has the right attitude for everyone.

I couldn't open the curtains because I could see the room of the next Central Hotel from the small window next to the room. I couldn't open the large window because of the construction work of the Peninsula Hotel in front of me.
The refrigerator was small and didn't get cold. There was no automatic ice maker on the 7th floor. Although it was on another floor, the elevator stopped only on the accommodation floor and I couldn't go to get the ice. I think it would be good to install an ice machine on the 5th floor so that anyone can go to pick it up.
If there are two guests, there are few amenities and it is inconvenient. There are only two types of towels, two large size towels and two medium size towels.
Once upon a time, there were 4 large sizes, 2 medium sizes, and 2 small sizes. In some cases, amenities were forgotten to be replenished when cleaning. I used to clean it twice, but recently it has become one. It will be held twice at Lotte Hotel and Pan Pacific Hotel.
At the breakfast buffet, there used to be raw tuna sushi, but this time it wasn't. Meat dishes have also decreased.
However, on Saturdays and Sundays, breakfast time was until 10:30, which was better than other hotels (until 10:00).
A friend of mine decided to cancel his stay due to a sudden illness that infects another person, but I was surprised that the cancellation fee charged was for two nights even though I contacted him the day before. I thought I couldn't make a reservation easily.

Hotel is neat and clean with sufficient ammenities. Most importantly people are friendly and good - that matters most.

At the breakfast buffet there was a worm found in the brocolli. This was brought to the restaurant managers attention ( she was a lady manager dressed in black and white uniform) She just apologized and said we don't use pesticides in our vegetables may be that's the reason there was a worm and left. This is a 5* delux hotel and this kind of issues must b handles carefully. At least the chef should have come to speak to me as now a days around the world chefs are seen outside the kitchen.

No smoking places ... A smoking lounge would not have been superfluous, rather than leaving us on the side of the road at the entrance to smoke like vulgar dogs without even a chair, 2 steps from the pollution of cars .. If I had known, I would not have come

Such a great stay. I feel not left out unattended. You will feel that they are all aware you are staying there. From the cleaners to the operators, you are someone worth of their attention.

I enjoy the stay at Shangrila Hotel. One of the top hotel.. No doubt. Suitable for business meetings and lauch events.

I asked for fresh milk to be in my room upon my arrival and it was promptly there when I entered my room. The service was good, room was very clean and was cleaned well daily. Only complaint if that can be called a complaint, is that the food served in the evening at the lounge could have been more varied and extensive.

We enjoyed the Hotel very much. The rooms were comfortable and clean. The bed was fantastic and so were the pillows. The staff went out of there way to accommodate us.

I was able to spend comfortably during my stay. Needless to say, the facilities were well maintained, and the staff were all very kind and polite, and satisfied with the service.
However, one of the disappointing things was that there was an event that was cut off regularly when using WiFi at work. It is thought that it may be a problem on the service provider side rather than the WiFi of the hotel because other hotels in Yangon have similar experiences, but it is also a top class hotel in the city In this regard, I would like you to introduce a mechanism that enables the Internet to be used stably.

The zipper of the pants of my daughter was ripped off. The hotel had it repaired within a day, and free of charge. Bravo!
The cleaning of the room, refilling with fruits and water, etc... was perfect! Congratulations to the staff.
Gym an swimming pool very nice, staff excellent.
Sadly, a little bit noisy at night because of a big construction site next to the hotel...

The only problem was the blackouts, but, it is not the hotels fault.

Best place to stay in Yangon. It s right beside the Bogyoke Market where you can find all the gems that you can imagine. Also walking distance to a big mall. The Shangri La standard did not disappoint.

Parking lanes are narrow and hard to turn for full size SUV.

The staff were polite, pleasant and helpful. the room was clean and kept clean everyday. the food was excellent with a wide variety. the overall stay in the hotel was excellent.

Only the Sakura Tower opposite to this hotel is a high-rise building, and most of the cityscape looks like this.

Very good place for stay. Downtown market is nearby and other good restaurants and bar around.

Was not entirely impressed by this Shangri-la. It was previously a lower budget hotel that had a minor face-lift. The facilities are OK but there is not a non-smoking bar indoors which is a bit of a putoff.

Extended and now have shops, supermarket and restaurants

Very Very nice place to spend your time on holiday. The room is clean and comfortable. Many kinds of breakfast you can eat. About the fitness center, all trainers are so kind help and advise. I strongly recommend this place for your relaxation.

Warm staff, comfortable room, excellent food, I particularly liked the way they allowed me to use health club area to take bath before I leave for airport in afternoon and this, after I had checked out in morning. Thank you.

Great place to stay while on a business visit. Else it's located in the downtown area, so plenty to see around you on case you're a tourist. Good food, friendly services and well appointed rooms.

I really loved to stay in the hotel. The staffs were so kind and helpful. I'd love to stay in the hotel again. But need water in bathroom. Apart from that, all were perfect.

Had a pleasant enough stay here. Hotel felt very dated, room had that damp aroma of years of overworked and under-loved AC, but otherwise clean and comfortable. Staff lovely and the pool area was nice enough. Good value.
