Very nice & good service for customers during business trip!

Located in the city centre and walking distance to Sule Pagoda, Junction City and a few places of attractions. Room is big and comfortable. Breakfast spread is good. Value for money.

Locate in Shangri-La Hotel ground floor, entrance left turn corner, Saturday night and Sunday afternoon have Seafood Buffet, $38 per person with 3 types of Wine free flow, worth to try.

An excellent hotel ina good central location. It has alovely swimming pool and sunbathing area andseveral good restaurants. Staff are lovely and could not be more helpful

The overall service is very kind, i.e. ground transportation, housekeeping, room service dinner, check-in check-out, etc. The response is very quick.

Event is not a new hotel here but the service is good and the rooms are very nice

I was very well attended by Ms.Ya Min Htike (Front Office Manager).She was able to convey in English and instructed the club floor staff properly as almost all of them were not understanding english.

Very easy and pleasant check in and check out. The room was very comfortable and the breakfasts were great!

I love the room and service start from Securities,Doorman ,Concierge specialy.
The facilities like Sport club so well maintain.

Excellent Hotel with Beautiful Breakfast.

Suggest however to install a "modern" douche in the rooms... ( we had the old awkward bathtub with "douchette" )

Warmly welcomed when I step into Shangri la Hotel,friendly staffs,receptionists and amazing hospitality what more I can say.
Book your room before they had fully booked.That hotel exist center of Yangon connecting with brand new mall so that I can buy last minute souvenir before I back to my home.

Stayed for 5 nights in April 5-9.
It was the hottest weather in Yangon so I keep indoor as much as possible.
The room were cool at all times.
The wifi was fast and cable-TV shows good.
There were power trips but back on fast in 1-2 sec. So there's no blackout.
The international breakfast is excellent and up to international standard.
Staff are friendly, approachable and speak english well.
Will come back again.
Only issue is hotel price going up.

I always used to come to here about 20 years .Especially Gallery Bar. Service is really nice and good staffs like David,Moe Moe,Ye Htut,Thoon Thoon and Kho Kham.food also good nothing to say bad comments.The enviorment is very nice and so close with my home. But this bar used to smoking bar unfortunatly changed to non smoking bar last year that is really bad for us.So they arranged the proper smoking place where is Summer palace chinese restaurant.And for now cannot smoke anymore at there after ten o'clock.So we have to go down it's not very inconvenience also the taxi drivers are very annoying to us.

Two concierges with Clefs d'or, a wonderful Front desk manager, Ya Min; tasty Tamil cuisine by Chef Ganesan, view of the city from the 15th floor and smiles from every one, felt exhilarated to be in Yangon and the shangri La

Very classy, old world charm, superb facilities, Nice food and wine, good gym. Love to be back.

Price is a bit high I would say... The hotel is nice but the rooms definitely need renovation!

You will have to pay a lot of money for such stupid services. Electricity cut off so badly and they won't start the generator at least 30 minutes until you feel boiling. You may also see similar comments on theiron Facebook page. You better choose other cheaper with better services. Thank you.

Very convenient in the heart of Yangon. Another world

Service has been impeccable, attentive and helpful. Your concierge staff have gone an extra mile by calling Grab, haggling with the drivers, making reservations, and clear directions to the various destinations in town. However, I have also made suggestions to your gym staff which include: -
1. They should clean the equipment immediate after use. The other day, I spent about 90 minutes on one of the cross trainer machine; quite sweaty I must say and when I was going to get the sanitary stuff to clean the machine, another guest was already on it. I guess close attention and monitoring from your gym staff is in order
2. There were a gentleman and 2 ladies talking for over half an hour and at times, quite loud. Your staff didn't seem to notice that was a problem
3. Another user was speaking on the phone. Whilst I have no problem on mobile phone use in your gym (in my club at home, mobile phone is not allowed), the gentleman put it on speakers which I found quite perplexing and bothersome. Obviously, the people involved in 2. and 3. didn't see your sign in "Keeping noise down to a minimum"
4. Please ban guests wearing slippers (those provided in guest rooms) into the cafe for breakfast
5. Your gym staff did help my wife in putting more money in her SIM card for mobile and data services. Thanks

Everything was very pleasant until i was refused entry to the gym because my sports shoes were not considered safe enough. This is even though I stated I would only use the weights machines, and not the running machines. If safety is such a concern, why are the waiters in the restaurant wearing sandals and flip-flops, wandering in and out of a kitchen where hot water and slippery surfaces can actually be a safety issue. Why sitting on a gym machine can be dangerous to my feet is really still a mystery to me.

Now the SHANGRI-LA, Formerly known as the Trader's Hotel, it has played a key role in the downtown scene.A great place to meet people talk and hang out. I love the little coffee shop near the entrance opposite the lobby.

overall is good experience except there was a noice from the A/C so I could not sleep. But the staff offer me the new room. So I was happy about that.

We enjoyed our stay at the Shangri-la immensely. The staff was professional and attentive, taking care of our every need in the friendliest way possible. We have been traveling a lot recently and this is by far the best experience we've had at any hotel we have stayed at.

The staff were very cordial and welcoming. Always smiling and greeting you. The room was really nice and the internet in every part of the hotel was world class. All in all a very positive experience !!!

Our 3rd visit. I like the location (provides relatively easy access for our local friends). Horizon Club room was quiet ( I had indicated we were staying 8 nights) and Horizon Club staff excellent. Concierges also extremely helpful. I nitpicked service mistakes last time: better this time. Housekeeping good by any standards. Complaints? One or two carpets looking a bit 'well used' now but we still like the overall look. General problem faced by all hotels these days : parents seemingly bringing younger and younger children on trips these days. But I'm not sure what you or I as a guest should do about that.

Nice hotel.. location is great.. right in the center of Downtown.. near Bogyoke Market.

Acceptable. Would prefer a variety of breakfast as I stayed for 3 days, I end up eating the same for breakfast.

A very decent hotel in Yangon. Used to be known as the Trader's Hotel. The usual Shangri-la comforts are here and service is very good. The cafe food is below the usual Shangri-la standard though.

Overall it's a good option to stay in Yangon. Though Hotel staffs are cordial, but I experienced a problem. And the way problem was solved not much satisfactory. Anyway, I wish good luck for Shangri-La Hotel. However, it's better option compred to Pan Pacific.

There is no turn down service, which is weird for a hotel of this category. The steam/sauna area is pretty disorganised and could be cleaner/tidier/nicer. The mini bar is very poor for a hotel of this category. there was no shoehorn or bathrobe in the room.

Average rooms. Terrible internet. Internet quality is definitely a deal breaker for me. I couldn't attend any of my meetings properly because of bad quality internet. Not returning to here for sure.
