I am having the same terrible experience. We have some gift cards worth about $300 from the baby shower and wanted to buy a stroller with it. When to the store and apparently the card was "locked" and was told to call the head office. The head office transferred the call to some customer service number where the only option is to leave a voicemail. No one has called me back...... Terrible Terrible Terrible.... Never Again.
Terrible experience with the baby registry. Items came via the mail destroyed, box with motor oil all over it. Items not taken off the registry resulting in double gifts, missed gifts. Double gifts that were bought and I never received. Would NEVER recommend them for your baby registry!
Attention Customer.. I " don't want to be a Toy R Us kid "... Absolutely disgraceful customer service. When a company who stand by their pride and attention to customers and makes them wait 95 minutes on hold, which then the phone line disconnect..awful. Trying to get a resolution about my online order .. which never happened. So initially I paid for an item which will never arrive. Want to let you guys know that the "greatest kids store" just made one kid very unhappy. You should be ashamed! Very sad. Will totally reconsider next time buying anything or even promoting this brand again.
Have been trying to contact Toys R Us regarding online delivery. I can t track my order number, as it is invalid , yet when I did get to speak to a customer service rep (after 45 minute wait), they do have record of my order. Purchase was made on Nov 21, with 5-7 business day delivery purchased....it is now December 8th and still no word on where the item is. Toys R Us customer service, by email, is a joke. They don t get back to you folks!!!!

This is the 3rd call about non delivery of an item. The other two times I waited 45 minutes on hold. I was promised a replacement, then a refund when the item was no longer available. I keep getting emails saying I won t be charged when in fact I have already paid. This is the worst customer service I ve ever experienced. I will never shop there in store or online again.
I recently visited Babies R Us at the Sherway Gardens location where I received assistance from Shannon. She was an extremely polite and knowledgeable employee. She was able to help narrow down the Graco stroller that best suited my needs. She was very kind and willing to take her time to properly explain the products in the store. I trust her opinion. It was a very pleasant and refreshing experience to receive proper assistance. Highly recommend having a one-on-one consultation with Shannon! Thank you!
Improvement to the website needs to be made. Payment by Toys R Us giftcard is currently not available for online purchase as of mid-Nov, 2019. Even their website's "payment method" section said yes.
There is also no flexibility of making post-purchase change of payment method either online or in store as per their customer service line.
i bought a gift for my child on a black Friday sale online, 60% off. A week late they email me, cancelling my order for unexplained reasons. I check online, maybe they sold out, NOPE, You can order it a full price now. They sent me a discount code to make up for cancelling my order, for 10% off, which is not valid on the item i tried to buy!! NOT COOL!!!
So they *ILLEGALLY advertise things on their website and tell you to call or rather at 9am, yet they don't even open at 10am. I see why they went bankrupt and soon enough they will in Canada too!
Trying to call their head office is a complete nightmare. Does anyone work there or is it an empty building? When you call their number you are redirected to another number for customer service where a voice recording simply says to contact your local store and then hangs up. When I tried to call the head office number again - pressing "o" to speak to reception, the automated recording simply starts all over again. Why can't you get a hold of anyone?????

Be very careful as to who you speak with when purchasing extended warranties..We were lied too and advised that parts would be replaced on our double stroller and now they state they will be replacing the item.. the problem is we purchased this item at a discount because it was a returned item and was told that if we purchased the warranty we would get part replacement on this stroller and that would cover any worries about the returned stroller.. now they want me to dispose of my stroller first and because it s a high risk item we need to purchase a new one at regular price and they will eventually give me a credit for the original price I paid.. my problem is that s not what was told to us and now that it s a year later they are deciding that this is the new rule.. i am extremely disappointed and encourage others to find other ways to buy your product.. DO NOT PURCHASE FROM TOYS R US SUDBURY
Cross iron mill mall in Balzac Alberta locked up all their shopping carts to prevent customers taking shopping carts out to the mall. Very inconvenient for customers parking far and buying large items and having lots of kids.

Crossiron store charged an item twice by mistake. The cashier could not refund one item. We were told to walk across the store to the other end to try get money back. The store could care less.

I ordered a rock dig smithsonian $38.00 on line. first i waiting and waiting for it first said missed delivery then they said they would track it down. almost four weeks continually contacking them. We got the package today. O my gosh my husband opened the package and we got a little lol mini round thing. worth $5,00. what the heck. bad experience and trying to get someone to talk too. ugh. Will not order online from toys r us again. will go to amazon. today my son reordered the same item for us its going to be here in "2 days"

I wanted to bring to your attention about what happens when corporate head offices such as yours makes decisions about issues happening at the store level.
(I tried getting through to your HR via phone and email but with no success).
I was sent to work in one of your stores in Alberta (where unemployment is very high likely 40% once subtract people no longer accounted for on EI, retired, disability and welfare, stay-at-home parents, etc). Toys-R-Us making decisions coming from headquarters has resulted in poor HR decisions. I was with a temp agency working in one of your AB stores until very recently. Your head office's decision in terminating some staff due to shortage of work (merely numbers but these are REAL PEOPLE) was very poor. It resulted in someone like myself (middle-aged, university educated professional, hard worker who thought hard work and dedication pays-off), while another temp who shows up 30-60 min late (but sneaks time on timesheet cause head office approves), takes no initiative to keep busy, takes extended breaks and gets retained for work. No input from Directors, Managers, Senior Staff, just merely head office. btw, your stores in Alberta are sending large parcels to Ontario and Maritimes (probably cause your incompetence can't fix computer programming). Where is the logic? Yes, some of us WERE professionals in oil and gas industry now working for minimum wage packing boxes at Christmas time at Toys-R-Us. Welcome to Alberta. btw Customers now you know some reasons why your're paying BIG BUCKS for the cheap plastic toys made in China!
Why using Purolator which is the worst carrier possible to deliver online purchases? This is painful buying anything from Toysrus and going through another awful customer service like the one Purolator offers. I could have grabbed this from store if given the option but Toysrus does not offer this option. Why? I can go a pick up a bike myself. Held for 5 days and I can see the product is not moving at all. This is just a disgrace of a service. No wonder Toysrus is struggling so much financially.
I have been regular customer at toys R Us from many many years. I placed my order online in April 18 and the website it saying delivery date is 5 to 7 businesses day i can totally understand because of the situation it can be delay for 3 to 4 days but not for 2 weeks. After more then 4 calls dealing with this matter, I had called again only to find out that a shipping label had been created for the wagon came out never been shipped. Every morning I am tracking the number its just showing its still in the same spot in Mississauga. I called Canada Post twice they said we are not sure your item can be delivered they even don t know where is transit located.
Toys R us after too many calls that should of resolved this issue, I am beyond frustrated and would like this matter resolved. I spoke with 2 supervisors from toys R Us they keep saying unfortunately we can t refund your money worst customer service i ever seen . So frustrated right now. This is so disappointing and such a waste of my time which is extremely limited. I look forward to hearing from someone who cares and has proper response to my concerns.
The worst and poorest customer service! Not even worth a one star rating! Toys R Us has no clue nor morals to provide the minimal proper customer service...
I telephoned the Vaughan Mills location, to verify that what I wanted was in stock and available.
I spoke with "Michelle", and, I must say that she was excellent to deal with. Very personable, yet professional. She made certain that all of my questions were answered and that the items requested were physically in the store.
She arranged to put aside these items, so that I could pick them up personally, at the store. When I arrived, everything was as she promised. I made mention to the Manager on duty, to inform of the outstanding service that I received.
A wonderful experience. PLEASE LET MICHELLE KNOW THAT HER WORK ETHIC IS APPRECIATED.
