I bought a used 2011 Jetta from Toyota of Richardson; nothing has really changed in 40 years of buying used cars I thought it was a fair deal advertised on their website at just under $10K. Right out the gate they put $2000 in bogus charges on top, BAIT AND SWITCH! I got up to walk out, and magically the bogus charges disappeared. The manager haggled and haggled with me, and I agreed to buy at a price a little below what they advertised after they lied and said they only made $284 dollars on the car (more like 10 times that).
The next day I drove out of state. After 35 miles the check engine light came on. The manual said it was a problem with the catalytic converter, bring it to a VW dealer. I called the manager, who proceeded to blame me for not putting in premium gas, claiming I fowled the plugs!!! The manual and inside the gas fill door said use 87 octane or higher, which I did. So the manager lied and blamed me. He then told me to put in octane booster and injector cleaner and drive it for a while to see if it got better. When it didn t he told me to go to an auto parts store to get the engine tested. The guy at AutoZone said it needed an $1,100, dealer-only part and that I should return the car. I m in Wichita Falls by now.
I asked the manager if I could return the car and get a refund. He said, No returns in Texas ?!?! But I can Trade you out of the car Translation: I ll give you $7,000 for the car you paid $10,000 for literally yesterday!!!
I cancelled my trip and return flight and brought the car back the next day. Their mechanics said it was a bad air filter and it is fixed now. I drove it for the week to be sure, and tried my road trip again the next week.
I made it 400 miles before the light came on again. This time I took it to a VW dealer that fixed it for $281. Toyota of Richardson said they would cover the repair and send them the invoice. After two weeks, and several follow ups, they have not paid or even contacted me. Terrible experience. Run away from Toyota of Richardson!

I am torn on the One star review, but ultimately that is what this experience ended on. Sales staff in general were easy to work with and pretty fair and well mannered for a dealership. Bruce and Chris Dawson were great to my wife and father in law, classic well mannered customer service, that is how you get business and return customers. I was doing business with Ouss, the internet sales manager. He was straight to the point, honest about getting the best financing rate etc. Overall he was easy to work with. So my Wife wraps up a deal on a Rav 4, with a great price (do your research, check out true car on your phone at the minimum). She has an 822 credit score. The only thing left is to go to through the Finance Manager. Yes, we are aware that this is universally known as the worst part of a dealership experience. We go into Ryan Siegels office. This guy was the most poorly mannered customer service anybody anywhere I have ever met. He threw miniature tantrums wadding up paper when my father in law said he did not want a warranty. He will talk to you in the most condescending way possibe. He said to me "What do you do for a living, big time" in a total ass hole kind of way. They lost a sale because of this guy, it was actually pretty outrageous. I was not even in the office for my deal either! That is how awful this guy was at his job. Trust me, you do not want to do business with this man child. If you see wide white man named Ryan, introducing himself as a finance manager, ask for somebody else, anybody else. You're welcome.

Been a loyal customer to this Toyota shop for almost 10 years. Never had I received any bad experiences or issues, but as of today 09/19/2018 they won t be getting a penny out from me going forward.
Went in for the conventional oil change (normally $60) and tire rotation, but they apparently tried to charge me $153 for some fuel addictive oil change. This is the first time I have ever heard of such a thing and the gentlemen in front of me (while paying) said the same thing. The service advisor (haven t seen him before since I ve been going there) tried to charge me for the tire rotation as well when it should be free since I bought my tires from there. He eventually took it out because I ve asked him to go look at my service history to confirm it.
After paying and getting my keys, my vehicle wasn t in the service bay or parking lot (so much for the vehicle being ready after 2.5 hrs). Went back in and try to ask for my vehicle, the service advisor said thanks for the poor rating on the survey . Well being a service advisor, you only have 1 job to do which is to take care of the customers and today you didn t do that job. The survey asked if the advisor review the service being done today or next service to be completed and some other questions, well nothing was discuss.
Asked for a quote for the timing belt and water pump change, and the service advisor quoted me $1670 when I got quoted from there a few months back for $1200 from another service advisor..... Smh
Thanks for the good runs, Toyota of Richardson service dept. I ll just take my business elsewhere from now on.

When we asked for 0%APR. they asked for $24460 then we accepted and went to finance department to sign the documents again they are charging $26000 if we calculate the monthly payments.Here they want to make money what ever the way it is possible.Next day we got the same car from Toyota of Plano for $23500 with 2.8% APR.

The overall experience was just ok. The process was easy. The sales agent Ryan was just ok. He had other deals going on at the same time he was trying to get my deal finished, so his attention was elesewhere. He didn t perform professionally under that amount of stress . Maybe I would have had another experience entirely had I been the only customer he was dealing with. However based on my experience, I would expect a bit more customer centered service from an experienced salesman. I certainly felt like just another number for him. I m in the customer service field so perhaps my opinion is a bit more biased. The gentleman handling the finance, Nick, was great. Certainly closer to the customer service experience someone deserves when purchasing a vehicle.

Buying a used car is always sketchy business but when you go to a dealer you hope for some honesty. Here in this location that is definitely not that case. I was buying a used Camry the sales person was telling me they are going to spend $2000-$4000 on a car to make it "mechanically sound" the car had 65k miles on it how the hell you're going to spend that much on car to make right what is already right and runs fine. The Sales person begin the conversation by saying "i don't wana waste your time and neither want you to waste my time" and when you don't agree to their numbers he said it was a gigantic waste of time to deal with me. There goal is to make you feel low and pressure you into buying a car by making you think that you have wasted their time and now somehow it's relevant for you to buy a car from them.....
First the sales guy will show you numbers when you don't agree to it and when you're just about to walk away they have to bring in the manager to speak with you.
The sales person cannot ever say to the customer that the customer is wasting their time. Bottom line is. If you want Toyota go to a different Toyota location. I am a fan of Toyota I will buy Toyota not from these guys though that's for SURE.

I bought my highlander from these guys in 2003 (yes this incident still haunts me), After many hours on saturday we drove home with a new car only to find out they had fudges with the numbers, they added a $1000 in extras on the cost of the car, reduced the APR% but managed to keep the monthly payment same by playing with the two.

Bought a used Camry from Eduardo Varas a few days ago. While they did not have the vehicle I initially came in for, Eduardo and his manager Cesar quickly found a few other similar cars for me to check out. Found one with similar mileage and Toyota certified that I bought at a reasonable price. There was the usual back and forth a few times but no high pressure or long waits between offers. Eduardo is extremely nice, eager to help and easy to work with. My finance experience was good too. Mo understood quickly that I was not interested in any additional warranties, etc and simply offered then backed off when I said no thanks. Mo has a great sense of humor and made the process painless.

Best car shopping experience I've ever had! I've purchased 7 cars in the past in 3 different states and all different locations but this one is hands down the best dealership I've ever been to. Lonnie was my salesperson... he showed us various models and was extremely patient with us throughout the entire process. He showed us all of the cool aspects of the car and really SOLD us, not just said hey look around, then pressured us into a deal. He made sure we were completely happy with what we picked and actually asked questions to understand our needs. Nick, the floor manager came by to make sure we were being taken care of and was very accomadating as well. Finally, we spoke with Faison in the finance department. He gave us all of our options and built our plans with respect to our budget. You just don't understand how much of a breath of fresh air it was buying from them, over all the millions of places we could've chosen from. It's worth it to make the drive from wherever you are to come see these guys! Will shop here again.

DO NOT GO HERE FOR CAR SERVICE! They will rip you off and only want your $$$. I went here on 7/1/13 for 30k service and the service rep quoted the price to be $709! What kind of service costs $709?! The sales rep began spewing the required services and attempted to justify the costs. Rule of thumb: not all services are required maintenance but Toyota itself does recommend a few. Apparently all the Toyota dealerships in the Dallas metroplex charge differently for scheduled maintenance. But by far, RICHARDSON charges the MOST.

We went there strictly to look and Omar was so knowledgable and laid-back about the whole situation, he really made us feel comfortable. He treated us as long lost friend, family even, and never made the process about the sale. It was completely focused on what is going to be the best outcome for us long term. I have been doing my maintenance for my 2014 Corolla there since I purchased it. Even though they never did a good job cleaning my car, but since it was close to my work place, I still went there quite often. Recently, I need a wheel replacement. The service representative quoted me for the parts and the labor and I agree to do a alignment set-up to check whether I need an alignment since I don't want an alignment if the numbers are still in the acceptable ranges. I told him I don't need a ride because I might just stay here for a while and let him write down my phone number just in case. Two hours later, they called me to pick up my car ( I went to a quieter place nearby to make some phone calls after waiting there for awhile). I noticed the billing includes the alignment of my car. I asked the service representative why they did the alignment without letting me know the measurement results and discuss my options before doing it. He said he couldn't find me at the waiting area so he just went ahead did it because he " couldn't think of any reason that I don't want to do the alignment ". I don't feel comfortable of his reaction, and the action of doing before asking for permissions. And I though the purpose of leaving my phone number is they can get a hold of me if there is any unexpected issue that needs my attention.
I couldn't trust them with my car there any more. It is not about whether the alignment is necessary, it is about the action of providing services and charge me for services without give me any hands up.

Mo Sherbi (Finance) at Toyota of Richardson is a liar and a crook. Went in to the dealership on Saturday June 9 with my girlfriend who was looking for a new car (Camry). Agreed on the price of the car and went back to the finance department with Mo to finalize the paperwork. Mo told my girlfriend he could not sell her the car unless she bought the extended warranty ($4000 for the extended warranty and GAP). His reasoning was because he did not want to lose money on the car and not be able to make it back with the extended warranty. We had told him multiple times we only wanted GAP insurance and no warranty. He refused to go forward with the car sale. Additionally, Mo bragged about taking advantage of people and how much money he made so he can live in his fancy place in downtown dallas (The 23) and then proceeded to tell my girlfriend now you can drive your sh***y little corolla We left the dealership Saturday night confused about how somebody could act so rude and dishonest. After thinking about this crooks unethical behavior, I told him on Monday I wanted to speak with the GM at the dealership. Walked in on Monday June 11 and GM was unavailable so they directed me to the CRM Jonathan Glasscock. Mr. Glasscock understood my concerns and said that indeed we should have been able to buy the car without the extended warranty. He is very nice and straight forward. We did end up buying the car without the warranty but the point is Mo Sherbi is a crook who can t be trusted and should be avoided at all costs.

While her car was having its routine maintenance check we went across the way to the dealership. While there not one sales rep came up to us. We walked over to the used car side and a man came up immediately. He walked us back to the new car side and passed us off to another man who was supposed to help. The man looked at us said he was busy and walked away. We will not be back. The customer service is no good. We will be taking our business back to Sewell.

After running my credit, Yuesef returned to his office and gave me the car note amount I would pay on a new car versus a used car. I decided that I would be okay with a used car, so Yuesef escorted my husband and I to the building where the used car salesmen were located. Once we arrived at the building, Yuesef went into the main office, I assume to inform the group of salesmen in the office that we were there. When he returned, he shook our hands and thank us for our business, asked us to have a seat, as someone would be out to assist us shortly, then left. Here's where things took a turn. My husband and I patiently waited for someone to assist us as we watched 5 different car salesmen walk pass us without any kind of recognition. It wasn't a big deal at first until patiently waiting turned into 15 minutes of patiently waiting. Of course 15 minutes turned into to 20 minutes, and that's when I began to silently complain to my husband about the fact that the salesmen were looking at us, but no one would actually approach us and ask if we needed assistance. They were laughing, eating, talking and constantly walking pass us. I immediately begin to think that our not being assisted was due to the color of our skin, and with that thought, I grew very uncomfortable. As yet another salesman walked pass us, my husband got the attention of the salesman, and informed him that we hadn't been assisted and had been waiting for a long time. The salesman then says, "Oh, we thought you guys had been assisted, that's why no one came over here." How would you think we've been assisted when all of you are in a group talking, laughing, etc. Even if that was the case, common sense says to come over and ask anyway right? Anyway, the salesman calls another salesman over to assist us, and it just so happened to be the salesman I had hoped we didn't get, due to him looking like he didn't want to be there to begin with. When he approached us, he didn't introduce himself, he sat down at the desk, nonchalantly made another excuse as to why no one assisted us, asked for my general information as he wrote on a form, had me to sign the form, then went into the main office. Before going into the main office, he said that there was no need to run my credit again since Yuesef had already run my credit in the other building. So at this point, I'm not understanding what was taking him so long since I knew that he wasn't running credit. After 10 minutes, he finally comes back just to say, "Yeah, there's nothing that I can do for you, and I don't want to waste your time." My husband noticed my frustration, said thank you, and quickly escorted me out of the building. The guy didn't even try!! So now we've spent over 45 minutes in the USED CAR DEPARTMENT to get nowhere. So here's my question to you Toyota, do you want to hire employees who take care of customers no matter what time of day it is, or do you want to continue to hire employees with poor customer service/sales skills who are just there to collect a check? Maybe I shouldn't conduct business with Toyota. If my money isn't any good to you guys, maybe I should just conduct business with Volkswagon. If I didn't have to rate one star to leave this review, I wouldn't.

So far, i Do Not recommend Richardson Toyota, Go to Mckinney of 121, See my story. I when to get a standard Oil change this morning, when i pulled up. I noticed only three cars in front of me. The employee that walked up to me asked what i need, i simply told them i need a oil change. Not even a full second passed. I was told it will take 3 hours.. on a TUESDAY Morning. Every time I go to this Toyota repair center, i get bad Customer experience and service, last time I was there i was told it would take 2 hours for an oil change, i ended waiting 4 hours for an oil change. Im not upset at the employee. I'm upset at the service over all, the management of this business. I hope that the SEO and CFO of Toyota read my comment, because this is the face of Toyota and customers are upset and are likely not going to recommend Toyota from this area. Richardson Toyota.

Fantastic shopping experience! I wanted a car that wasn't in stock in many dealerships locally so I was very pleased when Cristina offered to keep me appraised as new stock was incoming. True to her word, she followed up with me when the car was getting close, then let me know it had arrived. I was able to come within a day and the car was exactly what I'd been wanting and more! Plus there are deals for Toyotathon and everything was very low pressure and straightforward here, so I was happy to buy today. I previously went to two other local dealerships and this was by far the best. Literally every department I have worked with ,except for finance, has no concept of customer service. Most of them don't even know if what they are telling you is actually factual because they don't check. I've been given the runaround with this place so many times and unfortunately since I bought a used vehicle through then I have had non-stop problems, including but not limited to, engine failure. If I could get out of this car and away from this dealership I definitely would do so. I honestly believe whoever hires for this company needs to be fired and revisions need to be made. If you ask me it's as if none of them care about the customers whatsoever they just want you out of their face.

I took my 2015 SR5 Tundra 4x4 in for the 5,000 mile Toyota Care service which includes an oil and filter change. I had read on some of the Tundra forums stories of some unscrupulous dealerships were only changing the oil while claiming to change both the oil and the filter. (On the 4x4 Tundra, to access the oil filter canister, you need to remove the skid plate that is attached by 8 bolts. You need to remove the skid plate before you can replace the oil filter.)
Knowing some dealerships were short changing their customers, I marked the bolts on my skid plate with "torque seal" a product used in the aviation industry that quickly lets mechanics know if a bolt had been removed or loosened.
After I picked up my truck, I checked the skid plate and sure enough, it had NOT been removed. Remember, without removing the skid plate, it is IMPOSSIBLE to remove the oil filter. I double checked my invoice, and it showed an oil AND a filter change.
If their service department is willing to cut corners and not remove 8 bolts to get to the oil filter, what else are they scamming their customers for?
