Toyota Express. Don t believe it. Just because they make an offer doesn t mean it is actually an offer. I really wasn t expecting Toyota Carlsbad to be the ones to be a caricature of the car salesman. But, be prepared for the bait and switch and lies. . Really a disappointment. As a result I found a standup sales guy at Mossy Toyota, that was the bonus for me...was treated so well there. Maybe Toyota Carlsbad is just too big.

Lou is the quintessential Salesman! He probed to find out exactly what we were looking for and guided us all the way. He specifically helped my wife understand all the ins & outs of our new car. The whole process was a pleasure and we would not hesitate to recommend Toyota Carlsbad to our friends.

Unique complications made the process much more difficult than it should normally be, but Natalie was calm and professional throughout. She and Omar worked pretty hard to meet our expectations as well. Thank you to the whole Toyota team for getting it done!

This is the quickest and smoothest car purchase I have ever experienced. Salesman Lou Winnser was at the door when I arrived, as if waiting for me. He said that is what he usually do all day. Boy, he was extremely helpful! I told him the kind of car I wanted, the year and the model. He told me there were only two left on the lot. Do I really need a heated lumbar support? What about this other feature? Do I really need it? If not, there is a less-expensive model that does not have these two features costing a few thousands less. I ended up buying the less expensive model that is within my budget. Elma Alfaraj was also wonderful to work with. She was very efficient with the paperwork and we had many laughs. When all the paperwork was signed, Lou came took me to my car and explained all the mind-boggling features in the car I just bought. That saves me a lot of time reading the manual. I highly recommend the Toyota Carlsbad as the place to go buy any Toyota you need. Great service, caring salespersons and support staff, and good price!

I had a positive experience at this dealership. I enjoyed purchasing my car through Johnnie who was very friendly, efficient, and fair. Another little bonus was the Starbucks machine in the customer waiting room! Free coffee always makes the tedious paperwork of purchasing a new car much better. I love my new car and feel that I was given a fantastic price. Overall, a great dealership experience!

When I drove on to the lot I drove up in my 2005 Corolla, Yes it is Older , Yes it has close to 225,000 Miles on it, Yes it has a lot of wear and tear . The Sales guys standing outside just looked at me and played me no attention so I started walking around and about 15 minutes later a Lovely Woman Named Vanessa Macormic came up to me and asked if anyone offered to help me , I said no none even approached me. She Apologized and said is there any I can do to help ? I explain to her that I was looking for a truck around a certain price range , with specific things 4 wheel drive , crew cab , even a certain color , After talking for a few minutes I told her to be honest , and she politely said at that price range we will not have anything. Gave her my Phone number and asked if she ran into something to please call me , Well she called me that night with her manager we talked for a few minutes and said they might have something for me , Well I can tell you that Vanessa was there every minute of the way in high heels walking the inventory on their lot to find me something I liked . Well I found a truck I liked well about my price range ofcourse, But Vanessa and Ray her manager got me very close to price i wanted to pay and when i say close i mean about $1,000 difference, i was so happy that Vanessa actually took the time to really help a frustrated man . Every other dealership that I had gone to in the past to weeks only tried to move me up and spend a lot more money... Well I purchased my Tacoma exactly how I wanted it , even with a few extras. Best part about it is that I felt Vanessa actually listened to what her client was saying . The only reason for the 4 stars is because of when I first pulled up I felt very judged ... Well guess what yes I can afford a truck and I am keeping my little Corolla till the wells fall off !!!

The buying process was very easy and i had to return my rental right down the street so they picked me up from the rental place back to Toyota which was super nice. I went in once to test drive a few cars and didn t find one I was in love with and they didn t pressure me to buy. They kept in touch to schedule another visit to find one I was happy with And I ended up buying a new car on my second visit.

I was skeptical of using a used dealership to by a car just because everyone around me always said they are just out for the sale you can t trust them.. but then Randy stepped in the picture. He was over the top in customer service! He was super relaxed and allowed my wife and I to explore all there cars on the lot and was not salesy at all. He just went over the top to exceed our expectations. I found a 2013 Kia Optima sxl and test drove it 2 times and bought it. 2 days after I bought it I noticed the alignement was out and the breaks were squeaking. Randy took care of me even when he wasn t at work!! He called in a favor and had me bring my car back in and they fixed the alignment and ended up replacing a tire that had an unsuspected nail in it and wasn t safe to drive, all for free at no expense to me! And this wasn t apart of the warranty, they didn t have to do that. Because of this kind of over the top service I will come back and send all of my friends and family to Randy for a car!
Also shout out to the guy that handled the final paperwork in buying the car!! You were Hilarious and the icing on the cake of this experience!

About a month ago I bought a new 2015 Avalon Hybrid for my wife... For anyone that has done research on this particular car knows that it's amazing.... However the real reason I'm writing, is to tell you about my sales experience. Jose Sanchez was my salesperson and to say that he is/was ONLY a consummate professional would be a gross understatement on my part. Jose is extremely knowledgable as you would expect but more than that it is obvious that this man truly enjoys what he is doing which extends into the meticulous care that he gives his customers.... I have bought more than a few cars & I can honestly say this was completely painless... Jose turned "something" that in the past could be categorized as dreary; into a fun experience. He was fair, honest and went way out of his way to explain the entire process clearly & even got us a better deal than I originally thought my wife & I would be able to swing.... So if you are interested in a Toyota I would HIGHLY recommend seeing him.

Sales Consultant Emily Harvey provided us with fantastic service every time I reached out with questions or clarifications, and made the process very easy. Would definitely recommend!

WARNING: This coming from a "valued customer" that had purchased a few vehicles through them. Do not give business to them if you need to trade in a vehicle you purchased from the same dealership. Worst experience I've ever had. I initially went in to talk about options with existing lease and ended up trading the car in for a new lease. In all honesty, they gave a decent deal, but overall the entire experience cost more money that they put it out to be. I will never be going back and am even questioning if I will ever get another Toyota. Every process belonged with a separate party where they didn't have any idea of where in the lease termination process was.

Recently took my 2013 Scion FR-S in for service and was invited by Oscar Araiza to participate in Toyota's "Upgrade Program"--to upgrade to the latest version of the car I own. I told him I always wanted to test drive a Scion FR-S with a stick shift; so, Instead of waiting in the reception area for my 2013 Scion FR-S to be serviced, he introduced me to Eman Northrup, Sales Consultant.

Eman took me over to the Toyota/Scion sales at 5424 Paseo Del Norte where he introduced me to a red 2015 Scion FR-S that had a standard transmission.

The minute I sat behind the wheel and drove it out on the street, I was hooked. Eman made it possible for me to be able to upgrade to this newer, fantastic car!

Adel Soliman, Finance Manager, put it all together for me and prepared many documents for my signature.

All in all it was a GREAT experience! I am a happy camper, thanks to them!

Our sales consultant, Moe E. made our new car purchase easy and efficient. We already knew what we wanted, so it was great that Moe immediately understood that and got things underway. I came in search of a new vehicle after learning the cost required to fix my old one. Javier assisted me and was very friendly and courteous through the whole process. He did not pressure me but simply showed me the latest models of my old car and some comparable ones. He guided me through the purchasing process and was very helpful.

I took my family, wife and two daughters, to Toyota Carlsbad on Saturday at approximately 1:30pm to go look at two different vehicles. We were deciding between two different ones at Toyota (different styles) and one over at Weseloh Chevrolet. Like a shark seeking prey within minutes of walking in the parking lot a salesman approached and asked if we were looking to buy a car that day, I let him know we were trying to decide between a couple styles and what best would fit our family, and asked if he could get the keys to open one and possibly test drive. He had said he would but seemed rude and short after we made it clear we were still in the research phase not buying mode, he said "I'll be right back, let me go check something". 25 minutes passed after that with no return nor help from him. So instead of seeing any car that day at Toyota we stood helpless in the lot, I went to the office but was waved off by someone inside on the phone. This all happened after last Saturday when we were approached by a salesman who saw us looking at the Sequoia and gave a look when we were letting him know we were considering it but tried pushing us to the Rav4 saying it would suit us better. Thank you Toyota Carlsbad for proving how worthless, careless, and totally rapacious your salesman are. Through the years I have bought two vehicles from you, never again will I make that mistake.

I am writing this review on behalf of my grandmother in Oceanside, CA., since she's not familiar with social media, but wants everyone to know of one of the few good experiences she's had in her life when buying a new car. The following is what she wanted everyone to know.

They could have very easily taken advantage of me during the purchase of my Camry but they were very respectful with my budget and other needs. My experience was AMAZING. I was not stressed out even though I wasn't sure I would qualify.

Every time we go in our visits are always pleasant ones. We always work with Martin Suarez, he's an angel and a great person. Understanding and will do what he can to get you in the car you prefer. No pushing or shoving, does it all on your own time and decision.

Brought my Celica in for a clutch and they fixed it. Although there was a winding noise that I complained about, they told me everything was fine. Less than a year later, at 20,000, the clutch went out again. I brought it in and they fixed it again, another $650. This time it didn't make a noise and the clutch lasted for years. The service guys were nice although they don't want to take responsibility for their errors. Buyer beware.

The new car area is actually pretty decent. Lots of Toyota certified cars although the sales staff was a revolving door. I'd never buy a car here due to my bad experience in service.

Went to look at the Prius Prime on a weeknight. The gentleman who helped us was well informed but friendly and not too pushy. Our expectations for the experience we're low of course, but we were pleasantly surprised. We'd be happy to do business with them in the future.

I test drove 1/2 dozen cars at different dealerships before deciding to look at the Rav4 Hybrid. Giovanni took us for a test ride and was super informative and Danny (our salesman) spent quite a bit of time looking for the exact vehicle I wanted. The process was pretty easy (not quick) but everyone was really nice/friendly and in the end I got a new car with 0% interest! I love it so far ;-)

We live in Escondido and the difference of the two repair shops is light years different! I cannot believe the professionalism and kind people! We now have a NEW service shop to go to for sure!!

From the minute we arrived, until the minute we left with our Rav4 Limited, it was a very professional and great experience. Lou greeted us outside and took us right to an area of cars that we were interested in. Within minutes, we were in the car and test driving. No need for Lou to run inside and get the "right" key. All automated with their keyfobs. Fabulous idea. We are so pleased with the overall experience. Lou was a great salesman. Leo was our "finance" man and he was pleasant and so efficient. Even the Sales Manager came by and introduced himself and thanked "us" for coming in. Later he thanked "us" again for the sale. I can't say enough about Hoehn Toyota Carlsbad. The selection was amazing, but it really helps to have great staff on board. We had been looking at several different car dealerships. I must say, the experience at Toyota Carlsbad was heads above any of our other stops.

We just purchased a 2019 Toyota Tacoma 4WD from Vanessa. She was great in walking us though all of the trucks we tried and comparing the different options. We also bought a Toyota Camry SE back in 2014, there's nothing but great things to say about this sales team. Compared to previous car buying experiences, we felt no pressure to buy and were not overwhelmed by the amount of information the loan process takes. We were recently in the market to purchase a new 2015 Highlander and decided to contact Duff Joy of Toyota Carlsbad, as we had purchased two Avalons through him and were very satisfied with the overall process and price offered through the Costco Auto Buying Program. We showed up at the dealership without an appointment to primarily check the colors that Toyota was offering on Highlanders. We had done a lot of on-line research, so we were familiar with the colors, but wanted to see a vehicle of our color choice in person. Duff was busy with a customer, but we were greeted by Alex Ordonez. After explaining our desires and concerns reference the purchase of a Highlander, Alex answered all of our questions and initiated the process of locating a vehicle that closely matched our model, color and equipment desires. The following day, Alex called to say that they had located a vehicle that was very close to what we had requested in Tustin. The vehicle was transported to Carlsbad and we purchased it. We were a bit disappointed that Toyota Carlsbad had decided not to participate in the Costco Buying Program on Highlanders. Apparently, because of the popularity of the newly remodeled Highlander, Toyota Carlsbad felt they could sell Highlanders without an incentive, thereby forgoing the discounted price they would have to offer through the Costco Buying Program. They also were not offering 0% financing, as they were offering on Avalons and other Toyota models. These decisions were made by the dealership and in no way reflected upon the service provided by Alex, which was excellent.
We were turned over to Leo for the paperwork/financing portion of the buying process. He was personable and knowledgeable and the process went smoothly. The only part of the financing process that left a bit of reservation/buyers remorse was the Toyota Extra Care Vehicle Service Agreement that was offered unexpectedly. It was a totally optional offer and we could have elected to say "no thanks", we'll take the vehicle as is, but, perhaps under the umbrella of the circumstances, we thought that it sounded ok at the time and agreed to it. Of course, nobody wants things to go wrong with their vehicle just to get some use out of an agreement, but it's like insurance.....should I pay extra for this service because I may wish I had it or will I likely regret paying extra because I'll probably never need it. If Toyota wants to include this Extra Care Service Agreement in conjunction with the financing paperwork, it probably should be offered with a "cooling off" clause, as customers have to make their choice on the spur of the moment and are perhaps a bit vulnerable.
Our overall experience at Toyota Carlsbad was a positive one.

Frank was the salesman and he was great! He was very informative, showed me a variety of cars and helped make the whole process easier. He was patient and stayed with us from the beginning all the way to the end when I drove off in my new car. Tim was in charge of the finances and he spoke to us in Spanish and English to make sure my mom could be a part of the process as well.He answered all of our questions, made recommendations but never tried to push anything on us. After a few quick test drives and some more searching and a look at the numbers, I drove away in an incredible Tacoma TRD Sport, crew cab. I can t thank RICH DOWDY and DILLION WETEZEL enough. I wanted a 6ft bed and room for friends to be comfy. I got everything I dreamed of and so much more in this truck. These guys showed me every option until, together, we found what was best.
