The sales department's organization and profession...

The sales department's organization and professionalism is sorely lacking. I was given an appointment, over the phone for nine days later... even went by, before my actual appointment date, to see if there was anything I needed to do or paperwork to fill out... Left my car there, the day of the appointment before the shop opened and placed my keys in the dropbox (no envelopes). I had to call THREE TIMES in the morning to try to get any information on my vehicle. I actually got asked if I wanted to make an appointment AFTER GIVING MY INFORMATION AGAIN... Needless to say - good luck Toronto Hyundai, but you will never see a dime from me or any family member of mine.

He was super informative and really took the time to understand my needs and help to translate all the car jargon that I was unfamiliar with. It took me six months of research to determine what new car would replace my 8 year old Nissan Murano. After extensive research (primary and secondary), I had my short list: Hyundai Sante Fe Sport, Acura RDX, and the Audi Q5. My intention was to lease a car (for the first time - i usually buy my cars for cash).
I would not have guessed that Hyundai brand would have been on my short list, but there i was sitting across from Rick Blacker discussing the Hyundai Sante Fe Sport Limited.
Let me tackle the brand first: i am so happy (thus far) with my choice of Hyundai. Yes - Hyundai based on the value of the car and what i got for my dollars...Fingers crossed that Hyundai will live up to the expectations related to quality (so far so good).
And now for the dealership - Toronto Hyundai. I can't say enough about how easy they made it for me to make my car selection, pick up my new vehicle, their follow-up, etc. I found Rick, his son Brandon, and all other staff that i dealt with to be refreshingly honest, straightforward, helpful - people i wanted to do business with in purchasing the car, and most importantly, people i could see myself establishing a long term relationship with regarding servicing my vehicle (finally - after a long stretch of disappointment from Nissan dealerships in Toronto area)!
I highly recommend both the make, Hyundai and most importantly the dealership. And i consider myself an exacting customer!
Thank you Rick, Brandon, Joseph and all others that made my experience a real pleasure.

I had an awful experience dealing with the staff of the dealership both during and post pickup. I leased an Elantra for 2 years and renewed by leasing another Elantra for an additional few years. When picking up the vehicle the dealership presented me with 3 versions of my contract where all 3 had different payment amounts and they were insisting on me signing this. It took nearly an hour for the rep to get the sign off from the manager to adjust the amounts, all the while I had to simply sit around. They also weren't able to continue using my payment information from the first lease. Instead of trying to correct their own process for this, they ended up threatening to call the police and report the vehicle stolen unless I provide the same exact payment info as they had before and failed to reuse. Although both issues got resolved, the customer service in this location was very poor.

I switched to this dealership for my warranty maintenance last year after a couple of unfavorable experiences at another dealership. I must say what a difference. The staff are very helpful and go out of their way to make your experience a positive one. They don't push services that aren't required but only make recommendations. I'm so glad I made the switch!!

Things appear to be going downhill at least to me....

Things appear to be going downhill at least to me. Booked for scheduled service for the car I am leasing with them. When arrived at the time of appointment there was nothing under my name in their system. Anyway left my car with them for the whole day. I confirmed the amounts before leaving my car, paid when picked my car up. And then received a call from them four days later that some charges were missing and have to pay again. When I asked for the balance the guy told me $40. When I worked the amounts with him item by item the balance came back as $30. Whether this is intentional or a mistake, customers would not want to dive into calculating every penny. Whats the point of coming to Hyundai if the level of service is similar to any street mechanic.

I went in there with my girlfriend in hopes to lease a car. When we told them what car we wanted, they said "we don't have it in inventory and we have to bring it from out of province". This means they wanted to charge me for a transfer fee. They were really pushy, making it seem that if I don't get the car it will be sold out forever. Every time I asked them why, the sales rep would "go ask his manager" 20 minutes later he came back with the answer: now or never. This happened like 3 times. I left because I was really uncomfortable. After we left we called Agincourt Hyundai across town. When we got there they had full stock and weren't pushy. When we told them what Hyundai Toronto did, they were shocked by their aggressive sales tactics. I don't want to put the blame on the sales rep, but on the Manager of Toronto Hyundai. I saw him in his office and got a real sketchy vide from him. If you want a Hyundai go to another dealership.

Our new to us low mileage 2nd hand 2016 Hyundai Tuscon needed its 27,000 km service. I choose this dealership based on location. It was close to my work. First impressions are a overcrowded run down dealership. (don't judge a book by its cover !) But both the car service and the service I received was well above ordinary. I was well looked after with a drop off and pick up at work and my car got a hose down as well as its service. We where very happy with everything . Very please we chose this dealership

Had my 2020 Hyundai Tucson for two weeks now. The experience from walking into the dealership was amazing. Ricko was a great sale associate. He worked very hard to keep me within budget and I am very happy with the car. If you ever go to Toronto Hyundai ask for Ricko! He was very patient and really made me feel at ease in the whole process! When I picked up the car, Ricko ensured everything was settle before I came in. And he made sure before everything was good before I drove off. Not only is Ricko such a hard worker, but the support the team gives to each other is great! They are such a great team and it was a very pleasant experience. The owner Benny is such a happy positive person. If you ever need to go to a Hyundai dealership, I definitely recommend this dealership!

I was at Hyundai at dufferin location last week to get my tire fixed. I am covered for the extension warranty so fortunately I do not need to pay anything.

At first, they said that I needed to wait for 2 weeks for the replacement of my tire for them to be able to replace a new one - saying that its hard to find a type of tire. 2 weeks is long enough to wait and they said thats not even for sure! In my head, Anything can happen, I might get an accident while driving my Hyundai Tucson or worst.

Now what I did, I called up another Hyundai location to see if they are telling the truth because 2 weeks to find a tire - is kinda fishy! The result of my investigation , they stated that as long as I pay prepaid amount of the tire I can get it by 1 day!

1 days not 2 weeks ! That information was surprising knowing that the dealership at Hyundai dufferin made a false statement giving me false information that it will take 2 weeks to replace a one tire. It was very upsetting for me and on that day I went to talk to the head of Hyundai and I give him a credit since he was the one who managed to fixed the replacement of my tire.

The point of this matter is, why lie? I am a customer at hyundai , they should give me the right info so that every customer can trust their accountability the same way I trust their accountability.

Phyl is a very knowledgeable and pleasant sales specialist, she provided excellent guidance and customer service with great communication skill. She is great listener and very patient to answer our questions. She took us on a test drive and explained the car s features thoroughly with easy understandable terms. On the car delivering day, she even spent extra time to help setting up things to make sure I'm happy with the brand new car. Although our car wasn't that expensive still they provided us wonderful service.. this time we purchased a new car from Cadillac now we realize that Deborah did wonderful job... even while delivering the car she made our day and car special with tiny things which made our memories special..not every dealer can do that..

Called another Hyundai dealership near my work for...

Called another Hyundai dealership near my work for a price on a part which they didn t have in stock so I ordered it from here instead as it was close to home. I assumed the price would be the same since it comes from the same warehouse but these guys here marked it up by more the $20. Complained and asked why it was marked up so much they didn t give me an answer why but dropped the price once I showed them what the other Hyundai dealer quoted. My parents usually service their car here but now I don t think I would trust them with how they price things, will be taking this car to Rexdale Hyundai for all maintenance work from now on.

I bought my used Santa Fe from this dealership and sent it back for a minor service recently. The service that Jeorge and Brandon provided to me has surpassed the words like 'awesome' or 'excellent', it's just fantastic! In the waiting area in their office I also witnessed how nicely their general manager Rick treated the customer even to their kids.

In Toronto Hyundai I feel not only like a preferred customer but a valued person as well. Jeorge and Brandon were good and customer oriented sales professionals, more than that they were honest to their customer in this world can you find anything more costly than 'honest" ? Thumbs-up

I am very much disappointed with Hyundai service center due to their carefree nature the service. I went and willing to pay a lot of money looking forward of the value in return. I am on the ride share business and does a lot of care on my car safety is crucial. I trust Hyundai to give due attention and diagnosis all in and out as the mileage very high. After service was done on April 10 to this location and car engine automatically TURNED OFF passed Eglinton ave west and avenue road (thank God; wasn't on freeway) while I was driving it. I got it towed with the help of roadside assistance and checked in the car to this location on April 30. I communicated that my main source of income is ride-share at the moment and urged to help me out to fix the car at the earliest. They didn't bother to check my car for 4days till May 4th saying that they are busy. VERY FRUSTRATED, FELT HELPLESS!! There was a letter sent from hyundai that my car model has engine related problem and was highly advised to book an appointment and go for maintenance and hoped the problem was related to it but they charged me a chunk of money..... totally spent $700cad and work was not done and forced to go to private garage to complete the job for another $750cad!!

I recently bought my third vehicle, a Hyundai Elantra GT, at Toronto Hyundai. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. I was comfortable and at ease from the moment I walked in to the moment I drove off the lot a few days later. It was quick and easy to work out which vehicle would be right for me, and what kind of pricing and financing plan would suit my budget. Mr Arnold Cabalza was very helpful in making this happen; very knowledgable in the vehicles and plans available, very organized with my information, and prompt in returning my calls and e-mails. Buying this car was actually a pleasant experience; which can't always be said when purchasing a vehicle. I never felt rushed or pressured. This was also the first time I've ever had the owner of a dealership make time to come greet me and give me a bit of the dealership's story; Mr Benjamin Leung did so, which I appreciated greatly. Ms Heather Black in financing was also patient and helpful with me while we sealed the deal, so to speak. Lastly, I appreciate them going the extra mile to get my new car to me when I needed it, even though it required a little administrative magic. Overall, Toronto Hyundai packed a lot of value into a new vehicle for a musician on a budget, and their commitment to service is obvious. Happy to have purchased here.

Mr. Cabalza was more than just a dealer - he is our "Kuya". It was so easy to be honest with him. We needed a vehicle that will really fit the budget. He made it possible for us. The process was easy and straightforward. He made sure our requests was met. We appreciate so much his way of handling the whole thing. In addition to Mr. Cabalza, we were also accommodated by Mr. Smith and the rest of the team in the dealership - they were great and professional. We prayed for this vehicle and "Kuya" and the whole team is our answered prayer.

I had a terrible experience with Toronto Hyundai, after coming to an agreement with one of their Sales reps and sales Manager, we failed to finalize the deal that was promised. They wanted to charge me more for what was already agreed upon. Their Director of sales refused to give me the deal that I was promised and placed blame on his staff for offering me the deal. He insisted in showing me internal numbers in order to make me understand why he could not give me the vehicle for the price that I was offered, internal numbers should not be my concern as a customer. What is my concern as a customer is to expect what I was promised. Not only was this a complete waste of time for my wife and I, but I also turned down other offers from other dealerships as I was assured this was a done deal, which I have in writing to prove. This experience leaves a sour taste in my mouth with the Hyundai brand. I would avoid this dealership, as they are unprofessional.

When my husband and I decided to buy a new car we did all our homework (consumers report, on line searches, friends, web sites) and drew up a list of four dealerships that we wanted to visit. Our first visit was to the huyndai dealership on dufferin st in Toronto. As soon as we walked into the dealership we were impressed. The whole staff from reception to floor dealers were friendly and professional. There was no pressure - we looked at the model that we were interested in (elantra) and were introduced to Arnold Cabalza which looking back on our experience was like winning a lotto. He was exceptional. In fact we bought the car and never did visit the other dealerships on our list. He was extraordinary, friendly, patient, and knowledgable. We would recommend Mr Cabalza to friends and family and definitely will return to him for any information or service needed. We were so comfortable with his honesty, and the time he took with us to explain all features of the car. After deciding to purchase the car we were referred to Mr Michael Smith the financial manager. Again with the extended warranty we were very wary, but Mr. Smith sold us on the need for the warranty and the service provided over the years. This team of professionals at Toronto Huyandai (Mr Cabalza and Mrs Smith) were unique in their friendliness and skilled professional manner. Arnold is a most wonderful man that greets a person not as a client but as a friend. I would highly recommend this delearship and especially Arnold if you are considering buying a car- you will not be disappointed. Rating is over 100% in experience of buying a car at this dealership and of service provided by the team at Toronto Huyndai....

My experience at Toronto Hyundai was excellent. I am the type to be suspicious of sales people of any kind, but JEFF and LAWRENCE were very friendly, helpful, and honest! They worked with me on my trade and gave me a great deal on my "new" Car. We were still finishing up after closing hours and I did not feel rushed at all!! I'm so happy with my purchase! Thanks! I felt like family by the end of the whole process!

Toronto Hyundai experience was amazing! If you are interested in buying a Hyundai, go find Jack. He is amazing dealer I ever met. He is super helpful. I had an issues with previous car. He was super informative and really took the time to help me closing my previous lease that I was unfamiliar with. I bought Kona 2020 and I cannot thank him enough for setting me up with my new car. Also Heather who helped me to all financing was very kind. They both stayed late for our additional requests, Jack and Heather had their smiles all the time! Every time I go, I get excellent service. My only complaint is that when I list what needs to be done through the online form, it somehow does not provide all of the information to them on their end. I now have to go back to finish the work because it was missed the first time. Otherwise, the employees are wonderful, professional, and helpful.

Took my car in for maintenance yesterday, no issue...

Took my car in for maintenance yesterday, no issues just routine service and recall. It took 3 hours. Drove home for less than a minute and my tail pipe in heavy thick white smokes! It was so bad the other cars were alerting me. I was told they will test drive after maintenance. I doubt they did, If they did then they wouldnt release me a UNSAFE CAR. I drove right back only to wait another 3 hours! Nobody came to give me an explanation or an apology. Ive been there for 6hours they have taken their breaks and everything and I'm still there..my whole day gone and starving. Dont tell me you didnt see me? Im right in front of you. There is no customer service in this place. I dont know how you define service here.

Update: The GM personally called me and discuss what had occured that day. He assured me that he will get to the bottom of this so it wouldnt happen again in the future. I rarely every see management take actions for a bad service. I appreciate the effort!

My wife and I, expecting our first child, walked into the dealership looking for an SUV but we hadn t really considered the financial implications of such a purchase. However, Shobhat (sales) and Jeff (Finance) carefully listened to our needs, patiently informed us and showed us all the options available, moved heaven and earth to find us a good payment plan, and had got us a vehicle that suited our needs and our budget. That s not all; while we were waiting for our car to be ready for pickup, they gave us a courtesy car, free of charge!

Service was really bad. They tried to get me to fix something for $1000 saying that ita not covered by warranty. When i asked them if there is a possibily that there is another problem. They refused to check and told me to fix the problem with occurring cost. When i asked another mechanic, they told me they were wrong and eventually i got the issue fixed without even touching the part they told me to fix with cost. Terrible people just trying to milk money off any part.

Worst experience in service. I would have given 0 ...

Worst experience in service. I would have given 0 star if that was an option. Dropped my car over on Thursday and no one called with an update. I called them for an update on Monday afternoon around 12 receptionist kept me on hold for 10 mins and asked for my contact info and told that I ll get a call in sometime. I tried called back after an hour coz I didn t get any callback. This happened twice. Finally got an hold of a service advisor around 3:20 and he sounded really rude. When I asked what going on with the car, he said no idea they are still checking. He cannot give a rough estimate of time as well. When I told him that I initially called around 12 and I was told thrice that they will call me back and nobody called me back, got a rude reply back.
According to the service advisor they will start inspecting my car in evening. What????
Still no call in the evening, waited till 7. Worst ever experience. I recommend everyone, not to choose this place. There many good places to get your car serviced.
This is want happens when you give your car for some warranty work. They won t prioritize it, infact customer has to follow up after 4 days that s what s going on with his car. No courtesy of updating customer and being rude to the customer coz he called for an update.

I took my car to the dealer for a rattle under the...

I took my car to the dealer for a rattle under the car. Was told it was the stabilizers at the back. $300. Still rattling. Took it back. Told it needed two shocks. Gave me 10% off because it wasn't the stabilizers in the first place. $800 more. Took it back again. Went for a drive with the Service Manager. Rolled down my window and said "Hear that?" Oh, now he hears it. He told he he had taken it for a drive before. Said he probably didn't hear it because he didn't roll the window down! Put it on the hoist. Yup. Bolt was loose on the heat shield. Replaced for nothing. Most expensive bolt I have ever bought. Worst mechanics ever! Been going here for 9 years and they have been going through managers like water through a sieve lately. Not a good sign. Buyer beware.

Update...three days later and no call from Customer Service Rep. No surprise there.

The same day, I emailed the owner again and got a call from the Customer Service Rep, who really knows how to do her job. It was a real pleasure to see there are people who understand what customer loyalty means. I am getting a total refund for the unnecessary work done. This will keep me coming back...with a watchful eye, I may add...but I am finally satisfied with how Sera handled the situation that no one else was willing to do. Thank you, Sera, for your professionalism.
