Mexican Mash... Cayenne Cheddar Bread... eat it...

I got that the first time I ever went to friendly toast, and I've never eaten anything else. I've probably had it 20 times.

Kendall is the best Friendly Toast location. Lines can be long. Pro move, use the NoWait app.

Just because this place is hipster central doesn't mean the servers or hosts should be grumpy and devoid of smiles. The food isn't great either - sandwiches are comically plain and uninteresting and the cocktails don't seem specially concocted or unique.

It was fine, but didn't quite live up to the hype. My chorizo scramble was tasty, and my wife's french toast was pretty good. But the home fries were strangely peppery and mine were burnt. My English muffin was also burnt, and cold, and I had no butter to put on it until I asked twice. If it was a block away from my house, it's good enough for a regular breakfast stop. But on a day trip into Cambridge, given the typical 30-45min wait, I have to think there are better choices. It's also extremely loud, though that may play more into the 20-something demographic that dominates the clientele.

The food is good, decent portions, servers seem friendly. They served me a half appetizer (I dined alone) without my asking and charged appropriately. I enjoy the variety of breads and cheeses on offer, which helps set their grilled cheese apart from something I could make at home.

I had breakfast takeout on a Tuesday morning and my food came very quickly (5-10 min.) the host/waiter was super helpful and extremely friendly. I ordered the "Ole Miss" and it was delicious. Overall seems like a cool spot with nice people.

First time coming to The Friendly Toast and it was great! I got the meat lovers omelette which came with pecans and maple flavored sour cream on top (who would ve thought it would taste so good!). It was a great omelette that came with fresh baked cinnamon raisin bread and home fries. Only thing I wanted was more!

We went on a quiet day, but I am sure that this place gets incredibly busy on the weekends, so beware.

The only bad thing about the experience was the wait, and you can't really blame them for being popular. The food was great. We had breakfast - waffle, egg sandwich, omelet. Everyone approved. The staff was very friendly and quick even though we were a party of 6. Kid friendly. I didn't try any alcoholic beverages but they seemed popular and looked amazing. Would recommend.

One of my favorite places to eat! I probably go here half the time I go out to eat. My favorites are the Ole' Miss and the sklarmageddon. I have had almost everything on the menu, and the only thing I didn't like was the spinach dip.

They are super popular for Brunch on Saturday and Sunday so be prepared for an hour plus wait if you go between 9:30 and 2:30 on those days, otherwise, you probably can walk right in and get a table!

The food is very ok, but the place is definitely overrated. Rainy day in Boston today (Saturday), so the place was packed. 30 min. plus wait. The music is WAY TO LOUD for an eating place, mostly punk rock or similar, so forget about having a relax meal or a normal conversation. The food arrived after a long wait (the place was very busy) and the portions are huge.
The lady at the register push you for a larger tip (was giving 18%), asking me the reason why I was doing that, that 20% was the "normal". Well maybe normal for her, but not for me if the place or atmosphere didn't merit it.

Pretty quintessential Cambridge. Every time I'd come home from school, I'd always make at least one trip here. Especially good if you're vegan/ vegetarian. The place is unapologetically hipster: expect your server to wear tight leather biker shorts and have plenty of tattoos. But it's all a part of the vibe.
As for food, I'm never too adventurous here. I mostly go for the breakfast all day, but I've also never been disappointed by the savory dishes either.

This place is great for breakfast if you get there before the rush! Unfortunately quality is inconsistent, so depending on the day you can get a really good chef, or someone that is rushed and doesn't care for details. Today, we got French toast that came burnt and dry in the middle. Our server took care of us and got a new dish very quickly! Unfortunately, the second one was arranged to look perfect, with the burnt bits hidden in the stack. Still pretty much dry bread with a the surface being French toast.

I ordered the avocado toast and it was absolutely delicious. Enormous and delicious.

I still love this place, I understand that a rush can be difficult. I just hope that whoever is cooking enjoys what they do and serve good food instead of rushed get-it-out-to-the-customer food... Because you can taste how much care was put into your meal.

We visit here every time we visit our child going to school in the area and are never disappointed. Long waits are the norm. Breakfast, brunch and lunch are great and the wait staff is very helpful.

I've only been here on Saturdays during brunch time and it's always super busy so expect to wait but it's totally worth it! You can check in at the door and they'll text you once a table is ready for you. This is a funky, cool place with good drinks (mimosas and bloody marys for the win!) and really good food. Prepare for large plates of food!

One of my my favorite brunch places in the Boston area. The atmosphere is awesome and their food dishes are amazing and inventive. The wait can be long on weekends and they don't accept reservations, but they do allow you to put your name in line using the NoWait app, which I highly recommend so you're not stuck waiting two hours.

The ambiance is friendly. The staff is very social. The food is good, but I have to admit that the taste was not exactly what I was expecting for the price I have paid. Thankfully I was alone, so I was able to sit at the bar, but for 2 person or more, there was a lot of wait. Overall a good place, to go.

LOVE THIS PLACE!

LOVE THIS PLACE!

Food is awesome and brunchy...kinda heavy but yummy!

I always get the green eggs and ham...hey why not!

Only drawback is that it is VERY VERY busy/popular at the weekends, so get there early and be prepared for a looong wait!

I come here all the time for any meal- it's an awesome place with equally awesome staff who are hilarious, friendly, and helpful. The atmosphere and decorations are nostalgic and fun and make you feel like you've stepped into someone's revamped retro garage. The wait time can be excruciatingly long on weekends and around dinner time when everyone is off work, unfortunately. Like 2+ hours 'cause its so popular. Other times you can just walk right in. So don't be discouraged if it's a long wait. It's definitely worth it to come back again.

All day brunch place with strange, quickly decor. Food is just ok, but the service was quite fast for a weekday night. Imagining a higher quality Denny's with puns scattered throughout the menu is about right.

This is a very lively place, and it's gluten-free friendly which is a bonus for anyone with Celiac's. The front interior looks a bit like a Peewee Herman house, complete with bright colors and interesting objects (such as mannequins). There is a cozy bar, and the main seating area is covered in retro-style advertisements. The food, though a bit pricy, is delicious.

Great retro themed atmosphere and fun menu. Service was okay, our waitress didn't seem too interested and felt rushed. Prices were fair. The food was good, I got the vegan pancakes but was a little disappointed because I ordered one banana and one chocolate chip but received only one banana and one regular pancake. The food for our table, mostly pancakes, took a while too. I know Boston loves Saturday brunch, however, thought it could've been faster service.... And I wasn't crazy about the pancakes. They also only had soy milk as the non-dairy creamer option for the coffee, which was so-so. I would've expected a place like this in the middle of Cambridge, which boasts a variety of vegan menu options to have something other than soy milk (almond, oat, cashew, etc.). Overall, not bad but not the best. It was also very crowded and we had to wait for a bit, though they do have a photo booth in the waiting area.

Loved it so much we came back two days in a row! Delicious (Ole Miss, King Cakes), huge portions, soft and warm house made bread and great coffee. Gracie, our server, made the visit even better with her warm and friendly service.

FT is tucked away inside Kendall Sq so you can't see it from the street; but don't be deterred. The decor is a mash-up of eccentric, retro-nostalgia and it's easy to spend all your time checking out the bric-a-brac and forget why you came here in the first place--which is to eat, of course. The menu is dineresque in that it offers breakfast/lunch/dinner items throughout the day. Choose from a wide variety of creative and delicious meals.

About Toast

Toast is a leading restaurant point of sale and management system that has revolutionized the way restaurants operate. With its cutting-edge technology, Toast helps restaurants improve their operations, increase sales and create a better guest experience.

The company was founded in 2011 by Steve Fredette, Aman Narang, and Jonathan Grimm with the aim of providing an all-in-one solution for restaurant owners. Since then, Toast has grown to become one of the most trusted names in the industry with over 48,000 restaurants using its platform.

One of the key features that sets Toast apart from other POS systems is its user-friendly interface. The system is designed to be intuitive and easy to use so that even non-technical staff can quickly learn how to use it. This means that restaurant owners can spend less time training their staff on how to use the system and more time focusing on other aspects of their business.

Another major advantage of using Toast is its ability to integrate with other software systems such as accounting software or online ordering platforms. This means that restaurant owners can streamline their operations by automating tasks such as inventory management or payroll processing.

In addition to these features, Toast also offers a range of tools designed specifically for restaurants. For example, it has a tableside ordering feature which allows servers to take orders directly from customers at their table using handheld devices. This not only speeds up service but also improves accuracy since orders are entered directly into the system rather than being written down on paper.

Toast also offers powerful reporting tools which allow restaurant owners to track sales data in real-time. This information can be used to identify trends or areas where improvements could be made such as menu items that are not selling well or times when staffing levels need adjusting.

One area where Toast really shines is in its customer support services. The company offers 24/7 support via phone or email so that restaurant owners can get help whenever they need it. In addition, there are extensive online resources available including video tutorials and user guides which make it easy for users to find answers quickly.

Overall, if you're looking for a comprehensive POS system for your restaurant then look no further than Toast! With its advanced features and excellent customer support services, this platform will help you take your business operations to new heights while improving your bottom line at the same time!
