You can most things you need to know about a restaurant's by either their caesar salad or their eggs benedict. Had the Friendly Toast Eggs Benedict this morning. Totally top notch. Will be a repeat stop for me on future Boston visits. Excellent food.

A great place to eat.. its become one my favorite places to eat since my first time there. The service is great, food finger licking good. I try something new every time I go and I have not been disappointed yet. I would recommend this spot with no hesitation

I love this place - visited the Cambridge location because of my love for the one in NH! It's full of hipsters, which is fine, and great, quirky decor. They have so many veggie options for non-meat-eaters like myself, and a glorious brunch.

The line is always long for this restaurant and I heard great reviews for the place and was inclined to endure the 2.5 hour wait. The service was incredible and the location inside was vibrant and exciting. Unfortunately, they messed up my order bad. Luckily, the waiter and the manager (the waiter called him over because of how badly the orders were messed up) and were incredibly gracious and genuinely concerned about our order. They waived the orders and had them fixed within minutes. Highly recommend visiting!

Very cool brunch place. The mimosas were very good. Nice and refreshing. I had the Monte Cristo sandwich and it did not disappoint. My boyfriend had the doughnut sandwich and it was also very good. They even gave you postcards with your bill. Would definitely recommend you come early, it seems to fill up on Sunday mornings.

I wish I could say we actually tried this place, but the breakfast wait was almost 3 hours long. We ended up at a different restaurant right around the building in a lower level. Hope you have better luck than we did.

Great staff, quick service despite the insane customer line. The toast, gigantic Cinna bun pancakes with the cream cheese icing, all fantastic, a bar with breakfast options at all hours man I wish this place was in Jersey...

When you are in the mood for breakfast food at lunch/dinner time, this is the place to go. They also have regular lunch type food and dinner type food but usually get breakfast type food when I come here for lunch. Always a good place to go.

If you can manage to find this place, you're in for a treat; the sparkly stools and retro vibe are your first clue that this is not your average diner. The menu is comprehensive (breakfast, lunch, dinner, soda, beer, liquor, desserts) and creative to boot.I have never once looked at the Specials board without lust in my eyes. If you want something truly different, try the mojito shake.* Pro tip: Portions are HUGE; come hungry.

It's great for brunch, and even more so if you are a fan of cocktails! I've eaten here 3 times in my life (the first a few years ago), and I really like the spread and diversity of breakfast and brunch foods they've got. Every time I'm back in Boston, this is one of the places I consider for eats.

I don't recall what I got the first time (my memory is a bit goldfish-like), but I got the chicken and waffles the second time (warning, this is HUGE) and the potato skillet the third (mostly because I was searching for an option without eggs since I already ate an egg that morning).

It's got a very lively environment, but can be a bit tight if you bring a big coat (really only a winter concern).

Wait wasn't bad any of the times I went, but I hear it can be hefty.

This place is unbelievably great. I try to go whenever in Boston and it's one of my favorite restaurants in the country I've ever been to, and I've been to a countless number of them. If you question it, consider this: How can a restaurant thrive so incredibly well when it's almost hidden? Combine that with the fact that there is pretty much 0 parking options. For as much as I love this place even with quirky location I would NOT recommend because you basically cannot park a car if you want to go due to extremely limited parking. It's a shame for those not within walking/bike distance because it is such a great spot.

I really don't understand the high ratings for this place. Service was slow. Hostess was telling me it'd be a 30 min wait for one person because I didn't want to squeeze in an end seat at the bar. Food was cold and Salty for a Benedict. Disappointing experience all around.

Menu has changed in the last year or so but still great food. Very busy on the weekends but the line does move quickly and worth the wait. Use the Yelp - No Wait app and its a breeze.

Miss the fruit smoothies and some of the old menu staples but new options are equally delicious. Had their hash quiche & chicken and waffles. Would recommend

Excellent brunch and very good welcome. I recommend the Chicken & Waffles I loved personally. The atmosphere is really American and the restaurant is located near MIT. We went on a Saturday afternoon and there was a bit of a wait. I highly recommend

Loved their outdoor seating. Overall food wasn't bad and there was definitely a lot to choose from. The bread for the avocado toast was a bit thick for my preference, but no complaints other than that.

The Friendly Toast is an all time favorite of mine and I ALWAYS come here to bring friends and family that are visiting me. If you don't read this entire review make sure you READ THE END!! It's so fun, iconic and original with a one of a kind atmosphere. There are many options for gluten free eaters and I've never had any problems with contamination. The staff are very friendly and fun. The Friendly Toast is extremely popular and it's always been packed whenever I go there. Its definitely very loud in the restaurant, but the back area is definitely toned down a bit. A LITTLE KNOWN FACT! It can sometimes take up to two hours to get seated, especially during weekend brunch. To avoid this, it is 100% worthwhile to download the Yelp app and put your name in for a table. This makes everything so much faster. I always do this a bit before I leave the house so that by the time I get there and check in, I only have to wait 15 minutes tops. Enjoy!!

On any given day, you can observe a mix of hipsters and MIT tourists gathering under the the kitsch art at The Friendly Toast. Prepare to eat your delicious food and while feeling as though you're being watched by one of the many mannequins. (Drinking a mimosa lessons this effect)

Maximum kitsch is right. It's fun and tasty, but always excessive. Try the crazy cocktails. The Orleans fries are also a great pick if you like your tastbuds more than your stomach and wish to expand your wastline at the maximum possible velocity.

I love the food, the atmosphere seems a bit contrived but I'm sure it's just my general annoyance that somehow the 80's are cool again.

The service is great and they are actually as friendly as the name implies

Food is good, lines can be long, however, and service is not so wonderful. Very loud, and then there was the initial refusal to take something called strange fruit off the menu. But at least they eventually did see the point

Love their flavor combinations, they're not afraid to go out there and try something unique. It's new and yet familiar since their lineup is mainly breakfast dishes and sandwiches. Pick anything that sounds good, it will be.

Waits can be very long here on the weekends, make sure to use the app to get in line ahead of time. I can only speak for their breakfast items, but chocolate chip pancakes, eggs, bacon, and potatoes were all very good!

Horrible service with food to match.

Horrible service with food to match.

I preempt this with a note: we ate here on a Thursday morning around 11am. Not busy by any standard.

We should have walked away when the "hostess" ignored us. We walked right up to her as she leaned on the counter. No other customers in sight she was doing something on her phone. She looked at us and proceeded to gather menus. I thought "ok at least we'll get seated." Nope. She placed them on the counter and walked away. Minutes later we were seated with a smile like nothing happened. The waiter was in no hurry to refill our coffee. The food was bland. I ordered a scramble and it tasted like something from a college dorm; overcooked eggs, no flavor. The potatoes were the "best" part and even they tasted like they were each hand-dunked in salt.

I really wanted to like this place. Interesting menu, cool name, nice atmosphere. But no service and terrible food means no chance of a second visit.

I ve been going to the friendly toast for over 10 years and it is always good. Great menu for all three meals of the day. Great for groups and especially for brunch. Their staff is awesome too! I recommend using the wait in line app if you plan on going their for weekend brunch, it holds your place in a digital line so you can hang out at him until you need to head to the toast to be seated!

I really wanted to like The Friendly Toast since it was at a convenient location for me. Unfortunately, the food I ordered was either too salty or too greasy. Even the saltiness was unevenly coated throughout my potatoes. I had to cover my food in Tabasco sauce to mitigate the greasiness.

It may be that my expectations for this restaurant was too high after everyone hyped it up for me. The interior and service, however, was great! I may give this place another try to see if I just had a rare, bad experience.

High quality breakfast and brunch foods. Unique menu with a huge variety of dishes. I had chicken tenders and waffles with bacon and hollandaise. I added some Cholula and it was wonderful. Portions were ample. Interesting theme too.

I go here all the time with my friends. It's a great place for breakfast as the name would lead you to assume, but also a great place for dinner and even drinks! The theme is ecclectic and so are the servers, but they do their job well. The food is all very original, in a very good way. Pretty much it's crazy takes on classic comfort/breakfast foods. Even their drinks are the same way. I take most people who are new to the area here.

Really delicious food, but unfortunately incredibly long waits! Must arrive shortly after opening if you want to get seated relatively quickly. Might be better when the area schools are out of session.

Excellent brunch location. It was clear when I walked in that the place receives a lot of business. I sat by the bar and the bartender was conscientious of everyone he was serving. The menu is very versatile and they have it neatly organized. Food was great. And one of their gimmicks is that at the end of your meal, they give you a post card !

I've been to the Friendly Toast plenty of times - the service and food is always great. When you get breakfast all day you really can't complain. The best thing about their brunch/breakfast is the mimosa flight. Excellent basic mimosa, and interesting rotating specials.

About Toast

Toast is a leading restaurant point of sale and management system that has revolutionized the way restaurants operate. With its cutting-edge technology, Toast helps restaurants improve their operations, increase sales and create a better guest experience.

The company was founded in 2011 by Steve Fredette, Aman Narang, and Jonathan Grimm with the aim of providing an all-in-one solution for restaurant owners. Since then, Toast has grown to become one of the most trusted names in the industry with over 48,000 restaurants using its platform.

One of the key features that sets Toast apart from other POS systems is its user-friendly interface. The system is designed to be intuitive and easy to use so that even non-technical staff can quickly learn how to use it. This means that restaurant owners can spend less time training their staff on how to use the system and more time focusing on other aspects of their business.

Another major advantage of using Toast is its ability to integrate with other software systems such as accounting software or online ordering platforms. This means that restaurant owners can streamline their operations by automating tasks such as inventory management or payroll processing.

In addition to these features, Toast also offers a range of tools designed specifically for restaurants. For example, it has a tableside ordering feature which allows servers to take orders directly from customers at their table using handheld devices. This not only speeds up service but also improves accuracy since orders are entered directly into the system rather than being written down on paper.

Toast also offers powerful reporting tools which allow restaurant owners to track sales data in real-time. This information can be used to identify trends or areas where improvements could be made such as menu items that are not selling well or times when staffing levels need adjusting.

One area where Toast really shines is in its customer support services. The company offers 24/7 support via phone or email so that restaurant owners can get help whenever they need it. In addition, there are extensive online resources available including video tutorials and user guides which make it easy for users to find answers quickly.

Overall, if you're looking for a comprehensive POS system for your restaurant then look no further than Toast! With its advanced features and excellent customer support services, this platform will help you take your business operations to new heights while improving your bottom line at the same time!
