Place held up well with good surveillance but especially with a travel agency with pleasant people I have organized several times fantastic trips at affordable prices
At the embarkation at the port of Naples a row of hours, not even the slightest organization, no signage, incompetent employees. They even channel us into a road closed by a gate, forcing us to go back because no one had the keys to open it! A shame. The ship is due to leave at 8:15 pm and at 8:00 pm we are still standing in line with no ships in sight. Never again.

NOT being in Naples, I had to rely on the Navigator to find the boarding of Tirrenia, it seemed like a joke to do a lot ... but just a long way to get to the entrance of the port, once they arrive they explain that we have to go back for a other entrance, turning and returning to the same entrance at the end "STUFO" brings us in .. CHECK-IN? We looked like little trains lined up to look for this place .. which is not next to the ship but is in a very distant parking lot. Well ... WORST EXPERIENCE. POSITIVE instead people, kind to give directions .. maybe only to improve the boarding aspect.
From Naples to Palermo, Florio ship as beautiful as ever, even if dated, well-cleaned lounges, bar and restaurant as well.
In my opinion very negative defects ... which nullify such a beautiful presence ....
1. Access to boarding badly marked, many tourists who, unfamiliar with the place, get lost inside the port looking for a sign indicating the Tirrenia boarding, without finding it, is not there!
You have to go old, asking for information or following someone else, but it doesn't always work ....
2. Clean rooms superficially, under the mattress and in the edges of the furniture you can see the dust, you understand that between one embarkation and the other you do not go for the subtle ....
3. This is the most annoying, at the landing there is no one to check and enforce the exit order for the cars and the smart ones proliferate.
I find it dangerous and absurd.
Tirrenia really struggles to meet third world standards!
Based on several experiences on board of Tirrenia ships:

- absolute caos when disembarking, increasing the risk of Covid-19 contagion.

A little bit tricky to find on foot, but helpful peaple about that helped with directions. We got of Linia 1 (yellow) at Municipo would probably have been better at Universitia.

Bad, a chaos and a slow to awesome boarding, prices inside the ships from crazy and eye to the roaming where accomplice the tirrenia same you arrive beating from 50e to the day ... Disable the ROAMING!
Bad. Ferries canceled without notice, right at the departure time (Termoli - Tremiti); to request a refund at the ticket office, they say to make the request on the internet; on the site there is no trace of a refund request form (there is only one complaints page) and after sending the request via email I never received a reply. It's been over 3 months now. Bad.
Unlike all other ships, the Tirrenia does not adhere to the protection rules against COVID. As soon as we arrived at the port, they forced passengers to leave the cabins to unpack the beds and we have been crowded in the common areas and corridors for an hour and a half. I understand that years ago this was an economic move to encourage consumption at the bar, but in a situation like the present one such behavior is highly irresponsible. Ships such as Large Fast Ships, on the other hand, comply with Covid regulations. For your safety, I would recommend taking Big Fast Ships!
Quite clean the cabin but pinguiniiiiii air conditioning
Journey of fortune from Naples to Palermo, dated ship, generalized dirt and torn sofas, air conditioning in cryogenic conservation style, televisions and music at full volume.
Impossible to eat for prices out of your mind.
Next time I travel by land driving that is faster and more comfortable !!!!!

Olbia-Civitavecchia route - return date 17 August 2020 - all very courteous staff - no control with temperature measurement at boarding. We made the journey on the deck extremely dirty and in some places dangerous and poorly marked the risk linked to parts of the ship so rusty as to risk detachment (stairs, gates, flag-carrying plume). Inside, the appearance is that of a beautiful comfortable ship, in reality it was poorly maintained. Not even a euro is worth the amount paid for the route !!
The best then to find on the Naples - Palermo - Naples line, from the ticket office to the price and from the staff to the ship was all OKKK !!!

Very clean shipping company with professional staff. In my opinion, the embarkation and disembarkation of vehicles should be better managed, first of all by anticipating the time of entry of the trucks and, by better adjusting the exit of the vehicles they have to stop to recover the passengers left on foot, creating traffic and chaos.

Tirrenia Atara ferry journey from Civitavecchia to Olbia.
Despite being recently built (2003, Wikipedia source) the ferry seems very dated. The rooms with seats for bookable seats have outdated furnishings, very ruined armchairs with destroyed or missing tables, a TV in one of three rooms, dirty and smelly bathrooms ... it feels like being on a 40-year-old ferry. The common areas are a little better.
I returned from Sicily with this ship from Palermo to Naples and then left for the Marche. Beautiful ship, clean and above all on time, unlike the going with the GNV. Old, ugly, dirty and above all with two and a half hours of delay on arrival. Surely my next voyage will be with them
I took the armchair, they were all broken and uncomfortable. The light is the TV then you do not allow you to rest.
This company does not treat its customers seriously. My ferry departured 4 hours late - noone at ticket office or the harbour know anything. Noone gave me a certain estimate of departure time. The monitors in the waiting room displayed information that the ferry will departure on time (even 3 hours past that time). I arrived at destination 10 hours after planned time of arrival.
Nice ferry ... equipped with everything you need ... large and comfortable cabins ... even if only for 10 hours the journey is comfortable !!!

Unclean bathrooms! Indecent! But the best part is that they came with lots of post-cleaning strips! Indecent in both cabins booked ... so I deduce that apparent and fake cleaning is a way of life! Doubt also on the change of linen in both cabins! At the bar staff with little familiarity with the work to be done! GIVE YOU A REGULATE!
To bring a 3kg dog in Sardinia, in winter, they ask to pay 3 different supplements! You are criminals, you are allowed only because you have a monopoly but practically promote abandonment on the highway ... shit!
embarking for Sardinia has become prohibitive, two people, a car and a dog with a dedicated cabin between the round trip cost me 600 euros, during the crossing every 30 minutes a nice voice in audio broadcast reminds passengers to be plucked alive with aperitifs and various restaurants, an hour and a half before disembarking make you leave the cabin in a not very polite way (I found myself a staff boy inside my accommodation), disorganized and chaotic disembarkation without assistance.

One of the worst ferry experiences. Very unpleasant staff. Very bad conditions on the ship itself (dirty, badly maintained condition), lack of English announcements. We had to also to print carbon copy of the ticket as electronic version was not enough (app not working on iphone). We had a ferry to Sardinia from Civitavecchia to Olbia and return to Livorno with Moby - definitely recommend the second one as it has much better standard!

Nobody checked if the license plate of the car written on the ticket corresponded to the one on board. In short, I could be illegal and nobody stopped me mi. ..then in the Covid period. The temperature measured only to the driver .. the rest of the passengers? ... no comment speechless
On the Naples - Palermo route, with a car in tow, I found a good service on the ferry, with cabins and clean rooms. Not bad, as a value for money, self-service, against my distrust.
I traveled with my wife on the Naples - Palermo route with the Rubattino ferry, round trip, embarking a car and staying in an external berth. Quiet journey made on time on both routes. Boarding and disembarkation well managed by the staff. Very clean and comfortable berth. Negative note the Self Service staff, a waiter in particular arrogant and not at all helpful. Sore point of a transport that I still recommend.
Agency in the norm, there is no competence in foreign languages and the information provided for orientation in the port is very approximate
The facility was a bit old (but this is the least of the problems) in the cabin we found a broken bed (and none of the staff did anything), there was no toilet paper and the staff were very, very rude , as soon as we asked him for a couple of information.

If you have to go on a trip always try to take a cabin, I do not recommend the armchairs, uncomfortable and above all you have air conditioning on you so much that to warm up I was forced to go out on the deck, as for the cabins, comfortable and clean, mine was equipped even the bathroom and shower I don't know if the others had the same services. On the ship there is entertainment such as caraoke, cinema room, a small playground for children. The only flaw is perhaps the bar prices a little too expensive for a ship, however we are in the norm.

Courteous and helpful staff, improved cleanliness compared to years ago, however it is not normal to have to sleep in the lounge chairs without turning down the lights at night and with passengers on mattresses and sleeping bags, luggage in the corridors and dogs ... To be avoided absolutely. I strongly advise against thinking only of traveling with these people. We made the Palermo Naples route on 09/26/2020. They had already returned the day before and is having warned us in time. But on the 26th, without warning, they moved the departure time from 8.15pm to 04.00am, keeping us in the port on the ship all the time. We arrived in Naples at 3pm and got out of the cabins and it took them more than two hours to get to the parking lots. Moral of the story we went out at almost 6 pm. Twenty-two hours on a ship. Among other things, dirty cabins and very personal without a mask. If you have to take this company it is better to go by car from Sicily to Naples, it takes half the time
The staff who makes you park on the ferries always ask for a tip for a coffee is a really unpleasant thing you don't ask for a tip you give it if you are happy if you can take care
